I think this game has alot of "juice" (new term i learned now during the gamejam), keep it up fr fr

This was absolutely hilarious to play and so well executed.

My only advice would be to maybe automatically deselect the first choice I made if u can only play one. When there where alot of choices it usually took me a second or so to find the sign i previously picked and deselct it

the voice acting absolutely sent me, that alone was a 5/5. I really liked the simplicity of the game. Alot of feautures for so little time! amazing job!.

easy to understand game. I actually got the planes to kill eachother which was pretty fun, not quite sure how it fits the theme, unless adding the upgrade counts as the skaling. keep it up!

I will definitely do that, thank you so much and best of luck on the jam!

CHEESE.

it was sadly very easy to soft lock myself. I was actually expecting the game to start turning into one of those sonic.exe horror games which was very fun. I really liked the transition between levels where the skink grew that actually made me giggle.

cool idea, not quite sure how it fits the theme but I can kind of see it. It was a bit hard to get used to but maybe thats a skill issue XD.

I would really like to know how exaclty to get this to work so I can properly try it, could you maybe give me a short description of what commands or whatever I can use to get it to work?

can't run this file

oh no I get that! we had some issues like that too but eventuall yoyu do need to put the pen down!

super pretty game, was also really fun to play, wish the bug with the puzzle quiz was fixed sooner :/. already excited to play the full version! I would at most say that it would be cool to say changes in the environments. besides that it was super cool, the mechanic with going through mountain tunnels was so fun and extremely unique I feel like.

I had a really good time while it lasted, I am really bad at rhythm games so I struggled ALOT.
Sadly I couldnt get past the crushers, I assume there might be a collision shape that didnt get diabled?

not being able to close the menu confused me alot. I thought I might have to do something first but that also didn't make sense.

Once i did open the experiment 1 the performance dropped to like 1 FPS and was basically unplayable. Very sad because honestly I got really drawn in by the main screen.

this game was super fun and I wish it had more levels

Some constructive critisism:

- making the placing a bit easier. sometimes I had to micro move the blocks so they get placed.

-  the tutorial took me a minute to understand but that might just be a skill issue

- I think the artstyle can be improved. it is nice rn I do find it nice but it coul probably be improved

I think this would honestly do really good as a mobile game. the last level was surprisignly hard and I had a good "aahh" moment.

i wasn't able to play the game because whem I started it it gave me an error message saying I need microsoft vial c++ runtime. Very sad

man t he first thing I like was the cannon or tube I really liked the material you put on it!. I wish there had been a tutorial level cuz it took me a very long time to get the mechanics working properly. I think was some more polishing this could be very cool. There were also some collision issues where the camera would jank a it when I moved it a bit too much in some direction. Clipping was also an issue. The idea itseäf was very fun to explore tho!

The game looks really cute and polished. I believe there is a thing where when you go back a screen where you have repeating dialogue I wish there was maybe an option to skip that or to somehow blend tha tout. Besides that very cute game and i am hoping for an even better post gamejame version!

the movement feels a bit weird at first I must say.  I think with some more leveldesign and some polishing especially by addign music and sfx this could be very fun to play.

thank you for the comment.

We are using a Rigidbody2d for the player so sadly we don't actually have a move_and_slide option. The animations have mostly been fixed as we are working on them atm.Movement still wanks as using a rigidbody2d is fairly new to the both of us.

Thank you alot for your review and advice!

definitely agree with previous comments space should be changed to enter. There was also this bug where i died and the try again menu screen kept being on wile i was able to play. A bit annoying

overall, cute idea! I think this has potential

smth about the .exe wasnt compatible with the rest of the zip file so I renamed the .exe and it at leaast ran. Countless error in the terminal tho. From the game that I was able to play tho:

I at some point got stuck cuz an enem was kind of inside the player.

i hope you can make a better working version post gamejam!

yeah that's sadly due to the fact that we only had 2 levels ready for the jam!

DAAMNN this is so good. Honestly one of the most creative games I have played from the gamejam and not to mention the amazing art presentation. I think the dice rolling mechanic could be a bit improved upon butbesides that I had alot of fun playing!

Thank you so much!

Damn thanks alot! This is more than we honestly thought we would achieve. I am so glad you liked it!

Thank you so much for your review!

Good news! We are currently working on refining the tutorial level with some visual hints.

Also thank you for the idea with the density hints, I think that sounds great and we will totally see if maybe there is a way to implement it or at least something in that direction. The player still has to be able to pick up the die, but maybe when the die rolled a 6 we could have it be so heavy that you can only kick it or something of that kind.

Regarding the Q button, we are currently trying to figure out a good way to use the physics of the die to move it to the playerybut this cost us alot of time to get barely working which is why this aspect is very janky. Definitely gonna work on this tho.

Your comment about the die making noises outside the screen is a new problem we didn't (or a t least I didn't) know about so thank you we will have a look at what causes it and fix it hopefully.

The water is currently under reworking since we just slapped it in but we weren't quite sure if it was working. Also what do you mean by scalling down? I would be interested if it caused some issues or if it just didn't look good or something of that kind.

Thank you for playing the game!

thank you souch for your comment!

We currently only have two levels which is why you were getting error messages.

Also yeah we totally have to add a way to get back to the menu, we somehow forgot about that due to the time pressure!

We are also currently working on an improved tutorial where we like light up the letters in the terrain to make it more visible.

Again thank you for your comment and I hope you are having a good time during this gamejam!

Really difficult to understand at first which means you could definitely benefit from a tutorial level.

Ofc I found the tutorial video but having just a short introduction in game would be great.

The visuals could also be greately improved upon like the Titlescreen or adding die rolling animation, attack animations, heal animations blah blah you get the gist.

Something that I dont quite understand is why you can only shop, recruite and co once per "level", I go into the shop, see i cant afford it and then I cant go back in again. Idk if that was intentional or not but it didn't make sense to me.

And especialy since this is a game idea which has been used alot in this gamejam I recommend coming up with a mechanic that would make yours stand out.

The game is fun, just definitely need polishing.

cute game, reminded me alot of doodle jump

I think this could benefit from some kind of clear line at the bottom to make it visible that you will die touching it.

I think increasing difficulty would also do this game well along with maybe a more complex leveldesing or art . f.e a background wich changes depending on how high up you are.

I really like the way the cube looks with the 4 color sides eventhough it took me a bit to realize what exactly those do.

If done right this could become a very addictive mobile game! especially maybe if some kind of goals besides a highscore are implemented.

dAMN.

Definitely a 5 for presentation and enjoyment. I really liked the background music and the soundeffect whenever u as Die roll. It's a very simple idea but yet you executed it very well.

The things I do think that need improvment are:

- the given choices, sometimes there were choices which were very specific and I didn't really identify or like any of them, yet was basically forced to choose one.

- Sometimes a previous answer that could have been different is included in a answer. F.e the eurovision answer were I said I don't watch eurovision. Yet later on when asked about the best surprise I ever recieved. I was able to answer smth wtih a eurovision performance.

- a lack of sfx and animation. I think the game could benefit alot if the shapes you go on dates with also have a small kind of animation like the Moebius along wiht maybe some soundeffects.

Overall I am super impressed with the amount of content for a 50h gamejam! An am very sad that there isn't more content atm. really hoping for a post gamejam update!

I wish I had understood the game. The tutorial was very complicated and even after trying to restart the game multiple times and reading the tutorial thrice I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to do. Besides that the game is quite pretty and with some more polishing could become very fun to play.

The movement is kinda janky. Having to wait til the camera faces the right direction to move forward is very slow

I did enjoy the pysics of the cube rolling tho

ah sadly this can't open cuz u didnt include the .dll

very sweet and very impressive for 24h! or 25 I guess. Really hard to even beat the bot and it took me quite some trial and error.

this is honestly a really creative game on the theme.

Idk if it's a me problem but the fps was abosultely horrible. It kept lagging as well.

Anyway that might just be a me problem so here is my review:

- idea very creative

- camera might want to be improved upon as well

- added soundeffects ofc are a great idea.

- I like that the part that will be sliced of is colored.

Very fun game! and I am hoping for a post gamejam update

We are currently working on an improved post game jam version with more user friendly key input, since that was a frequent complaint!

thank you so much for playing our game and thanks for leaving a comment

nice game idea. The glow was a bit very present lol idk might jsut be me that thought it was a bit too much tho.

can't run the game
