The art-style and the idea is very cute! In the first level the cat falls from the table if I shrink it and then it doesn't get back on the table if I grow it again. That means I essentially lose the interaction of where I place the cat very early on and then I just watch the tower defense? But it did look and feel very nice!
Very cute Ant and art in general. I wasn't too sure what the goal was but I had a great time making fruit explode and carrying a giant sandwich around! Occasionally the physics were a bit off (especially regarding the giant sandwich) and sometimes I couldn't see my ant behind some picnic stuff but I thought that added to the quirkiness.
This game feels so polished , it's really cool! The artwork is especially adorable. My only complaint is that I struggled to use X as the shrink button while also using WASD to move around (my fingers just don't work that way). Other than that it's a super fun quick game that made me want to play over and over again!
Does the difficulty also scale to get easier if the player turns out to be very bad? Asking for a friend haha
I really love the story and the art style, I think the idea of playing as Professor Ant is incredible.
Unfortunately I suck at platformers and the second jump was already too difficult for me. I would have liked Professor Ant to move a little faster and I think if you land in an area that is a dead end (or a loss) then the restart should either be automatic or faster to access at least. I do love that you took the time to decorate these areas though, it really adds a lot of character to the game!
Cute little Ant game! It took me a while to figure out that each Ant had a specialty but once I got the hang of it I had fun playing around with that. I especially liked the Ladybug because it required different teams to cooperate. I sadly got stuck on 99% because one red ant got stuck in the bottom left area.
This was a very creative idea! It took me a while to understand the mechanics (specifically that the discard pile gets reshuffled, I was hording up cards for no reason) but once I got the hang of it it was very enjoyable to play.
One note that I have, I might be wrong but I feel like the sideways wind also blows you down? I would find it interesting if the wind actually blows you sideways, which may even help you scale the mountain.
Fellow Ant game maker! I really like the concept, finding different conversion rates and exploring the map to get the final golden ants! I also really liked the hexagon based map aesthetic. I would have liked a way to zoom out of the map or have a mini map somewhere, just so I can keep track of all my little ants that I sent into the wilderness. Overall you did a lot for such a short amount of time which is pretty cool!
this might sound a bit weird since we made the game but... How did you manage to play the game? We ran out of time and uploaded a broken version and no-one in our team can play the game at all?
The "villain" part of our description also comes from trying to add the game to the jam within the remaining 67 seconds so I am glad you seem to have recognised what we were going for anyway! Thanks for rating our game, we appreciate it
