Latin lyrics would also have hit the same, haha! Hope your girlfriend feels better soon!!

This has such a strong nostalgic vibe for me! The sounds you use are very nice and everything is well balanced throughout. Amazing job!!

Love the use of the actual clock samples and the use of instruments to emulate different kinds of clock. The music goes back and forth between different moods and situations while remaining fun overall. These tracks fit perfectly with your idea and are just ridiculously well done! Fantastic work!!

I’m an absolute sucker for a solid orchestral score, and this is one. The melodic content, the textures and colors you play with, the mixing, and the emotional weight of each track is so so strong. Given your description, it seems like there’s a lot of complex emotional subtext going on and it’s so well portrayed in the music.

Also, oboes/english horns are often used to symbolize death. I have no idea if you did this on purpose, but I love the use of it at the end. Not because someone has died, but because he will never die, and that is in fact the true tragedy. Amazing work!

Yay!! That was my main goal overall. Thank you for listening and commenting. I definitely appreciate it!

Thank you very much! And thanks for taking the time to listen. Much appreciated!

Dude, nice stuff!! The pacing of both of the tracks was very strong. The melodic motifs of the first came in just at the right time, and each musical turn around felt called for. The second one does a very good job setting a specific scene (win for jiggy exotic cave flute). The mood remained the same though throughout each, along with the urgency to finish, which I guess is appropriate for racing tracks. Hope Mark can catch a break! Fantastic job! Quack! :)

Ahhhh oh my goodness!! I was looking for you earlier while making my way through submissions. So glad to once again run into fellow waterfowl composer! I appreciate your thoughts and can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with. Quack quack quack!! 🦆

Thanks so much for your thoughts! I love that you got a Kirby vibe from some of it. Appreciate you taking the time to listen!

Appreciate the advice! My personal key touch has always been kind of static and heavy admittedly, so I can definitely see what you mean by that. I’ll keep an ear on that in the future. Thanks for listening!!

Very cool work, and I dig that you decided to use the fever for your source of inspiration and chose to work around it as well. Normally I would say the same thing about cleaning up the mix, however in some ways I feel like the muddiness and heavy distortion in the mid and lower frequencies really adds to the uncomfortable, heavy, and disorienting feeling that comes with fever. So if that's your intention, maybe you can still lean into it a bit. At the end of the day, it entirely depends on your artistic intention. Nice stuff!

My life goal is to make orchestral tracks that sound this good! I love the direction you went with this stylistically, and I feel a nice sense of urgency throughout. The change up for the last track was interesting as well, but the clock sounds do a good job connecting everything together. Nice work!!

Really lovely sounds! Everything is balanced so nicely and the SFX work is absolutely chef's kiss. Nicely done!!

It sounds so so cool! And so unique too! The compositional structure to this is very interesting and engaging. It never feels like it gets boring or static. The mood shifts throughout are nicely done as well, but it doesn't feel like it looses momentum either. Very very nicely done!!

The style works so well for the story you’ve imagined! I love the energy, the motifs, and the production quality. It’s so cool and each track is super fun in its own way! Fantastic job!!

Thank you very much!! It was fun to play around with some different orchestration choices. Much appreciated!

I appreciate that! That track was pretty fun track to work on. Thank you so much for listening!!

Thanks! I like going cute and lighthearted every once in a while. Appreciate the listen!

Thank you!! I really enjoyed that one too. Wanted to end the playlist with a really fun one! Thanks for listening!

Nice work! I love the motifs you build with in the piece and the percussive work plays so well into the theme. Very action packed!! I really enjoyed them!

Thanks!! I feel the same way. I’m glad you liked them!

Super lovely sounds!! I love the steady development of each of the pieces as they go on. I think it fits very well with the description you’ve given for the scenario and I really enjoy a lot of scores that take this approach. Very cool tracks!

This is absolutely precious! Your compositional work is so good and I love the way you incorporated the theme. Also the boss theme breaking off from the standard instrumentation hits so well! The pieces overall have so much character and I would love to hear live musicians play them (you should definitely see if you could make that happen)! Overall, so so good! Great work!!

I like the melodies, and I think the minimalistic approach for the first track fits the vibe of the game very well.  I also like the samples used in the melodies and how they pop from the mix!

I like the string patches, and I think they would benefit with you playing with the dynamics a little more with them.

Nice work on the tracks!

I love the tempo rises and fall, it made me smile! This music is so whimsical and a really good play on the theme. Good composing work!

Definitely some really nice sounds and melodies going on here! It feels so so delicate and for the right moment really puts off the perfect mood. I think the melodic content could definitely be brought up in volume in the mix. It's so so good and so enticing and I feel like ducking it too low would be doing it a huge disservice. Very very lovely! Nice work!

Maybe this is just because I really gravitate to this genre, but I love this!! I will definitely be coming to this if I ever need good inspiration for 8-bit/16-bit music tracks. Love the story idea as well! Definitely feel like it fits the music.

The mix is very well done! Really good use of samples. The balance of everything overall is very nice as well. If you ever remix it, you might be able to afford to bring out the more melodic bits with the strings and the piano just a bit because there's some great stuff going on with them, but overall super good. Definitely evokes a certain level of urgency. I also dig a good orchestral/tech crossover, so this is very fun! Great track!

The main melody is very lovely! I think you did a very successful job incorporating it in all of your tracks. The overall mood is great as well. It really works with the story you're telling (particularly that last track).

My only minor note would be that the volume of the percussion scrape is a bit loud in the mix (my headphones have kind of a harsh mid-section, so maybe that's part of it). Maybe you can play with mixing it a little lower or maybe having it come in loud and then dip in and out or something. The soundscape as a whole is very lovely though! Nice work!!

I love this arrangement! I love the mood and feeling that you put into a song that was more or less a joke bit in the show. The synth stuff is really nice too!

I was extremely intrigued when I saw this.  I have no idea how I would feel if I was in a public space and heard this in the background, even as a blues/rock arrangement, haha!

I love love love the riffing on the guitar!  The melody is so simple that it's definitely one that you could play with for days.  Definitely would love to hear you do a version of this with real players if you ever got the opportunity.

Nice arrangement! Very creative!!

Super nostalgic for me! I loved this game growing up. I love the electronic metal approach. Definitely feel like it takes the boss fight up a few intensity levels! Nice work!!

I love this overture, and as cool as the original orchestration is, I love hearing these melodies in the instrumentation that you choose.  I feel like the metal vibe really fits Kratos too as a character, so mad props!  Awesome sounding cover!!

Your musical themes are delightful and you do such a good job exploring them in the tracks.  Love the production style as well!  You have a lot of energy going on but it never seems like too much, especially based on the description of the story.  You convey your story so well in the tracks and have a very nice balance between emotion and playfulness.

The tempo change in the first track totally also slaps!

Overall, such cool stuff!  Nice job!!

Thank you fellow musically inclined duck! 🦆🎵😊

Figured it out!  Needed to make the uploaded project public (just in case anyone else needs to know).  Thanks!

Hi!

Is there a way I can confirm I have submitted the project to the game jam? I have it uploaded as a project and have hit ‘submit your project’ on the jam page, so just want to make sure I did everything needed.

Hope you’re all having a great day! Much thanks!

Hello!

I've uploaded the project and then went back to hit 'Submit your Project' on the game jam page.  It didn't give me the option to attach any particular project, just keeps bringing me back to the 'Upload Project' page.  Just making sure I'm not missing something.

Thanks!
