Coming up with anything to add to such simple games is difficult, so no suggestions really :/ Maybe a timer of some sort? Not sure :D

Very cool game! For me the best strategy was looking through the emotion chart, and if the right combination wasn't found, just throwing a random dice with the lowest bet, and going all in if the correct number was found. Cash went up to exponent numbers after a while. It's quite a good idea for a game, but it definitely needs a bit more mechanics, as the core gameplay gets pretty boring after a while. But I understand that that's a bit much to ask for such a short gamejam, and for only 50h it's very good. The art is amazing also. Good job!
Great game, absolutely loved the art style! I think a bit of a better tutorial is needed though, as I'm still not quite sure what faces do, but as soon as I figured out that they have something to do with buffs the game became quite easy. Also your stats carry on between fights, and your hp can go over the limit shown in the game, so I could just buff my guy to the max and heal sixty something hp over the limit after which the rest of the enemies couldn't even touch me. Not sure if that's intended, but didn't mind as it was pretty fun to kill the final guy in one hit, who destroyed me the first time around. So the gameplay could use some work, but either way I enjoyed it a lot. Great game!
I like the idea a lot, but the game still feels quite unfinished, unfortunately :(. The way the pieces moved was all over the place (king could move like a knight for example), and an AI to play against would improve the game immensely. As I said, I like the idea but there's still a lot of work to be do in order to make the game functional.
Before I go into what I thought of the game I just have to say I don't think it fits the theme at all. There are many random events in the game, but that's just rng and really has nothing to do with dice. That being said I completely forgot about the theme of the jam while playing the game as I liked it so much. I meant to just check out the game, play it for a couple of minutes and leave a review but ended up playing it for at least 40 minutes. The visuals and the soundscape are both wonderful and the gameplay was just the right mix of simplicity and complexity with the interactions of the different tiles. It's definitely a bit too easy though, as the negative events hardly ever take away enough population to offset the natural population growth of the better tiles. I couldn't quite figure out how the game worked at the start, but I liked finding out which tiles work well together and which don't. Many people probably wouldn't though, so a bit better of a tutorial would for sure make the game more approachable. Also thought I was doing something very wrong at the start as my score went into the negatives by quite a few thousands, but realized later that pico 8 has a 15-bit integer limit and I was just going over lol. Either way, if you plan on working on the game after the jam, I'll absolutely check it out! Cheers!
As some people have already pointed out, the game definitely needs a bit more something to really be interesting, as right now it's just rolling dice without a whole lot of thinking. But the concept is absolutely there, just need to flesh it out a bit more and maybe give the player a higher degree of control over victory. 50h is a very small amount of time to make a well fleshed out game however, and it's understandably difficult to do so. I love the art style though!
Yep, that thing about rolling a one in the middle of action is absolutely true. It is intended, however. Meant to make you consider when it's a good time to pick up re-rolls, and maybe leave some laying around if the clock is ticking towards a forced one. But glad to hear you enjoyed nonetheless, thanks for playing!
Good puzzles. I think the theme's representation comes a bit short, as the dice are utilized just as a move counter, and the lack of audio is definitely a minus, but I enjoyed the game nonetheless. Absolutely carried by the level design, the puzzles were very fun, and I'm sure the mechanics could have been explored to an even higher extent with more time. Good job!
Man, the game is so hard. My guys just want to talk about politics 😭. Couldn't quite figure out how to get give the players good enough rolls without making it boring for them, especially if most of the dice would be really low. But it's a great concept for a game! Very creative, and I had fun playing it even though my highest score was -109. Presentation was incredible as well! The music and art were spectacular. If this is really your first gamejam I am very impressed!
Bit difficult to figure out. Still not sure weather or not the attacks are ranged or not. Couldn't get the chests to open also :(. Also uses a lot of gpu, funny enough. Could just be some problems on my end though, so I'll just give it the benefit of the doubt on that one. Won't rate it also, as I think it'd be a bit unfair to give it a bad rating just because I couldn't figure it out :/
Great concept, wonderful presentation! Loved the UI, and Felix's design was on point. It feels wrong to criticize the gameplay without any ideas on how to fix it, but it did feel like it lacked something. I think maybe i would have liked it a bit more if success felt more in your control. It felt like the averages were a bit too high, and even when exclusively picking the dice with the lowest averages I couldn't build up more luck than 2. Maybe I got really unlucky, maybe I'm just a dummy who didn't understand the right strategy to use, but either way that's how it felt. But then again it's understandable, as it is a game about rolling dice lol. Having said all that, I did enjoy my time with it. Pretty good game overall!
Well, it's not a great game. But making a game in such a short amount of time is very difficult, and I can definitely understand you guys running out of time, especially if it was your first gamejam (I'm assuming it was, as you've got nothing else published on your accounts). Like tz_enterprises said, the theme of dice rolling should have been explored a lot more, and I'm sure with some more time you could have! But be sure to keep doing jams, you'll get faster and be able to make better and better games every time :)
Man the game looks good. I really love art, and together with the shaders it looks amazing. The level design felt a aimless, with a lot of wandering around, and seemingly random enemy placement. I get that it's supposed to feel a bit like a maze, but I still feel it could be better. I love the overall vibe of the game though!
As C131 said, the world feels a bit empty and is a bit easy to get lost in. It's a big world, I think a bigger camera would be nice. But the presentation! Man, it's phenomenal! The art is excellent, and I like the music as well! Also, from what I understood you did everything other than the music? Huge props for managing all that.
