So unhinged lmao good game

Pfft haha, this is so silly, I love it. Wish I could bail like that at my actual job.

Glad you liked it! I think I really should've made more with the coins haha

Very cool and hack-and-slashy! The presentation is amazing! Great job!

The presentation is really nice and it really makes me want to know more about what this show is and for whom and just the overall plot. I think it's interesting. The gameplay does feel somewhat aimless. The first phase felt a little boring, and I think the show could've had more substance. But I think you definitely have something here.

Whoa, very creative take on the theme. I think we can all relate to it. There's no storm more uncertain and terrifying in life than starting a new grade or a new job, in my opinion.

Nice game! I like that's it's simple and to the point. The level design was interesting with how there were platforms above and below. The second phase kinda creeped me out, maybe some music would've made it even more unsettling.

Hm! That is indeed a good time. Expect a lifelong supply of catnip coming to you door soon.

Glad you enjoyed the game! That technique is actually the strongest. And it would be my pleasure to give your cats a good pet (=^ェ^=)

Hey nice game! I think it definitely has speedrun potential. The controls have a nice feel to them too. I was just a bit frustrated when I couldn't see the lava blocks below me when falling, so maybe the camera could be pulled a bit further back. But all in all good job.

I had no idea what I was doing lol but it was an interesting experience. The music is pretty good. The art was great as well but I wish the UI had a little more work put into. Feels like one could go really in depth with the game and come up with the most optimal run or something. Good stuff.

Whoa, this definitely feels like it belongs in a post-modern art museum. Weird little experience.

If someone needs this, here's how I got it to run: Rename the "Ansiedad_Data" folder to "Storm_Data" folder, then run Storm.exe.

Nice and relaxing game. Love the music, like "lo-fi beats to explore the moon and collect trees to". Just wish there was some sort of endgame (or did I miss it?)

As one of my favorite games of the jam, here are some stray thoughts:

  • I wish the upgrades were more visually distinct, more like the furnace.
  • Saving money at the start was difficult for me so the entire progression felt somewhat slow (my bad also for completely forgetting the speed-up feature).
  • Maybe the enemies could have an animation or something that visually indicates hits.
  • I couldn't figure out what the lightning did at first, it would be nice if they had an animation also.
  • There could've been some more enemy variety-- I  actually thought something was going to come from the beach at the bottom-left, that space felt sus.

Some brighter ones:

  • I think the interest mechanic is very interesting and it really makes you consider how to proceed.
  • It's very relaxing unlike other strategy games, probably thanks to the music and graphics, but just as engaging.
  • I was surprised it didn't lag at all! With so many things on the screen, I thought my old laptop was gonna explode, but miraculously not.

I just really enjoyed my time playing this. I got until wave 25 where it really spikes and I got owned.

Really wish I could play it on my phone on my free time or something. You've got something that great.

To clam or not to clam, that is the question.

Absolute trip. Felt like I discovered a weird old game, like some lost media or something lol. It's so good.

As a fellow cat lover to another, thank you deeply!

We came up with the same name lmao

Looks like we had the same idea for the names of our games lol. That aside, you got a pretty neat game. I really like how he goes ape and starts flailing all over the place.

Cool driving game! The map is actually pretty big so it was fun trying to explore it all even if it felt kind of empty. You did a great job with the sound effects and the lightning effects, they actually kind of made me uneasy. Just wish there was more to the game, as it's difficult to get a game over if you're not actively chasing the tornados.

Very well executed idea, I didn't think I'd play for long but it got me going until I built the tower completely. You really nailed all the criteria. My only feedback would be to fasten the pace a bit as it did feel pretty slow, and to polish the storms somehow as they were more of an annoyance than anything.

Glad you liked it! Yes! I would've loved to make it more rouge-like-y. I might consider fleshing out more and release it as a better game.

Thanks for the review! The player has a detection radius that grows larger according to the Catmeter, which can’t be stopped. The cats will chase yarn balls until they leave their radius, and the cat food is eventually eaten completely. I was aware about the lag but I couldn’t figure out how to fix it and just kind of thought that it would’ve been funny to leave in.

Yes, I had a hard time balancing the game. Perhaps the cooldowns should’ve been longer. Sorry about your ears— a warning or setting to turn it off might have been useful.

No disrespect towards cats will be tolerated. Other than that, awesome game, the puzzles were really creative and it has a lot of personality.  My favorite so far!

Cool little management game! Although I think the gameplay could be expanded upon to be more engaging, like having more tasks to do and some sort of penalty for failing to do them.

Gave me a lot of frustration and arthritis. Take my 5-star review and don't ever come near me again.

You went for something really ambitious here-- the plot is suspenseful and the somber music really puts you in the mood for an upcoming storm; there's a lot of dialogue, characters and several locations. So that's quite a bit of content, more than what I would expect from a 7-day jam. While not a big fan of the art style, I can see you put a lot of effort into it. The gameplay might not be super engaging but the instructions are clear. I'm only a little disappointed about the end! I thought it was going to be something darker...

Very cool and interesting idea! Even without sound,  the presentation is pretty good thanks to the pixel art. It was a fun time, although since I'm playing on a somewhat low-end device, the game gets really laggy during the storm phase, so maybe it could use some optimization.

Thanks! Yessss I definitely wanted to add some rogue elements, like different types of terrain and more items. Alas, I'm still very inexperienced.

You nailed the presentation! It really sells the "calm" part of the "calm before the storm" theme and I like how the atmosphere is different for each day. I will say that the game is very forgiving in giving you a lot of resources for your tasks and ample time, although I think making it otherwise would've made it more stressful. Overall great job!

Hey thanks! I think you got a pretty good score, worthy of The Catlord. Oh yeah, I think I should've warned players about not sticking too long after a game over unless they want their computers fried...

I think you have an interesting idea! I really loved the atmosphere. I couldn't really figure out how to progress, so I think some directions for the player would be helpful.

You got the worst debuff in the entire game

Thanks! There's nothing you can do to stop the Catmeter. You just have to avoid cats so that it fills slower. About the coins, it's a secret to everybody!
