How does your game fit the theme?
A storm is approaching and does hit while you are looking for your son.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code and assets were made from scratch or taken from my prerecorded sound library like the rain sound.

Hi, I don't think your game is really great, but you deserve congrats for making an adventure game within a week. The biggest issue in my opinion is the contrast between the dramatic theme (a father looking for his missing child) and the dialogues and graphics - characters feel verbally and graphically inexpressive despite the serious thing that's going on.
The gameplay is minimalistic but that's not an issue in my opinion. I don't know if I'm the only one in this case, but during sequences where you have to drag objects into their respective slots I often had to retry dragging some of them before they would be put in.
Hope this feedback helps, and good luck on your future works !
thanks for the feedback. The drag and drop was a bit weird to set up. What do you mean by retry just putting them on the spot again?
Hi yes exactly, I had to retry putting some objects onto their spots several times.
yeah that can sometimes happen. You have to go to the middle of the spot. That's the best place to tr
The music was nice and the overall game is pretty cool, but I'd say the gameplay is... a little bit too simple.
thanks.
I think the warning in the beginning should not say "there is a flash right now" and then just do it, instead I think it should require interaction from the user just in case, then it puts that flash, otherwise sort of defeats the point of the warning and almost might as well leave it out. Other than that I think you did a good job on the game itself!
Yeah that warning was an added thing but there is also an itch warning. I should have made the wait slightly longer.
Good job putting together a point and click adventure in just 7 days! I'm impressed at how much story you had. Well done!
thanks
This game is truly exceptional! The creativity and craftsmanship are evident in every detail. It’s a unique experience that keeps you engaged from start to finish. Amazing work!
thanks a lot
Interesting game. Love the character's walking style. However, as a parent, not sure I'd be able to go to bed if I couldn't find my kid! (Gotta use my suspension of disbelief for that part.)
yeah for that part I kept using try to sleep. Did he sleep? Not really just waiting there.
It's a nice story game and I liked the text.
thanks
An interesting experience and something very different from most of the games here. The game part seemed too simple, maybe turn the place pieces minigame into a jigsaw puzzle. That would fit the tenor of the game and be more satisfying to play. Nice play on the theme.
The beginning warning screen should be altered. I don't know why there's a flash right after it, but before you can finish reading the warning. Just prompt players to press a key and wait until it's done before proceeding.
yeah I added the text for that flash and I also added it on the itch page. It was a whole cutscene so I can control the lightning and all. What do you mean by the place puzzle?
I mean the parts where you place components to build objects like the Cake.
Nice game and fun twist!
thanks
Pretty nice. The noise at the beginning is way to loud.
the lightning?
Liked the idea, the game was a bit slow, but still fun to play
ok
I like The Game.. But Player Movement can improve ..
yeah the player movement could have been faster or I add sprinting
I like this game a lot, it was very cozy, but also a nice narrative.
thanks
Not a lot of calm before this storm lmao. Wont spoil why, but this was a great narrative and the art style was very unique. Well done constructing this narrative game in the time allotted!
the way I took it was an ironic situation cause the calm before the storm was not that calm but compared to what happens when the storm it is the calm
You went for something really ambitious here-- the plot is suspenseful and the somber music really puts you in the mood for an upcoming storm; there's a lot of dialogue, characters and several locations. So that's quite a bit of content, more than what I would expect from a 7-day jam. While not a big fan of the art style, I can see you put a lot of effort into it. The gameplay might not be super engaging but the instructions are clear. I'm only a little disappointed about the end! I thought it was going to be something darker...
yeah for the ending I wanted it to be wholesome and nothing too dark. Tried to get out of my usual niche
I can really see the hard work put into this game, there are so many little details like the cake spoiling as the days go by, the house getting messier, and the piñata. I really enjoyed it!
thanks
I liked the idea, but I don't think such long walks were necessary. I liked the story and the music, the interaction system with the windows and the cake were a very good idea, but the location sometimes was difficult to find. Nice work anyway!
Nice work. like the quick story and interaction system with the windows and cake and ..., but it was also sometimes hard to find the spot where it clamps in space.
yeah that did happen sometimes.
Love the art and animation! The music too. Honestly the presentation is just solid overall, good job!
thanks. I worked a lot on this to make it look good.
A nice story really, glad he got found! Nice simple art simple animations.
I had troubles with the mechanic of dragging cause it didn't communicate well in game.
Tho a nice little story for a jam and it fit the theme very well!
