The game is pretty good. Scenery is very well put together the character feels smooth. However, even on the polished version, there are still quite a few issues.

Pretty hard to aim. The way it was coded makes the shot go higher than u might expect. Sound effects play unnecessarily such as jumping sound plays when pressing space mid jump. The map feels to big for its own good. There was many times I felt I was lost or I had lost an enemy as it wondered off somewhere. Med kits didn't work at all for me, both purchasing and using.

Overall, a decent attempt at a wave based game.

A really polished game. The dark aesthetic and art style worked heavily in you favour, given emphasis to the games dark premise.

As the objective was to rush the castle, there isn't much incentive nor strategic reason to visit certain locations as it would have led to your demise.

I would love to see new levels or maps with unique scenarios. Otherwise, well done, great game!

Wow, this game is amazing. Having the ghosts help you was handled really well and creates a nice puzzle challenge.  Redoing loops was a very nice feature, especially when trying to find things to do.

Really great job, a very fresh and innovative game.

This is an amazing start to a game. I love the idea of using the out-of-body experience as a puzzle mechanic. The lighting system with the art style in the game blew me away.

In terms of gameplay, puzzles are interesting but maybe a bit too easy.  I love the idea of using the out-of-body experience as a puzzle mechanic, especially with the last puzzle.

With the other characters, it would have been nice if you could have continued the game without the main monk. Maybe for polish, you could prevent the character from going onwards as I tried this and got stuck due to lack of lighting. Also, sometimes the ghost would overlap the character you are playing as.

Otherwise, it has become one of my favourite games from the jam, well done.

May have fixed that as well! :

Thanks for playing! Our 3D artists worked endlessly to make sure the game looked as good as possible.
Thanks for bringing the "bark" sound to our attention. As of typing, I am working on polishing the game.
So in the next version, this shall be addressed and changed.

(1 edit)

The concept of the games was solid. The tv screen idea was pretty cool yet could have been handled differently. The audio on the title screen was nice but I wished it played in levels as well.

However, I did have a few issues with it. The player is quite difficult to control. Having the space bar be the button for UI and jumping can lead to instantly losing on certain levels. Having a different button for that may help. Also, certain levels can be skipped if certain actions are taken. Not too sure if that was intentional but it lead to a lot of the level not being played. I found that the art style somewhat confused me with how things worked.

Overall, a good idea that needs a bit more polish mechanically to stand out as a great game.

I love the idea of the game and how it links to the theme. Characters and the map look pretty nice. Although the audio played for one of the levels, it was pretty nice to listen to. However, on a technical level and design-wise, there are many improvements.

I attempted to play the game many times as a first I struggled to understand the game and the link to the theme. However, due to a lack of collisions, I fell out of the map more times than I completed the game.

Still a good attempt at making a stealth game.

This game was pretty good. I didn't complete it in my initial session of playing (trying to find the last item). The character art was pretty nice and the environment fits nicely. Loved the music, was humming to it as I played. Although not much was achieved in much of technical gameplay,  as a visual novel, story driven puzzle game, it works quite nicely. Good job.

I'm sorry about the camera. It didn't occur to me when implementing it that it could cause motion sickness. Cameras where the last thing to be implemented literally an hour or so before the game was submitted, so I couldn't  test it if it would function properly once implemented.

This game looks absolutely stunning, it really make you feel like you are under water. Good job to those who created the visuals for the game. Also, allowing you player to choose which way they want to go at certain sections is amazing. The character feels nice to control and shooting is pretty accurate.

However, for me, there was no clue indication owhat I could actually shoot as everything kind of blended together. Sound effects were nice, maybe you could of added some for the missles or when enemies die. Also, there were many instantces where the cross hair hid behind some of the game objects or was slightly disorted because of it.

Overall, a really good game. Good job!

Prehaps controlling multiple shapes at the same time and having your playable character switch between them? Or a shape with more faces for more challenging puzzles? Something like this, I feel, will add an extra layer of depth to the puzzles and  allows you to use these concepts to create more unique puzzles.

I honestly have no clue how to fix it. It works fine when it comes to the unity editor but when I tried building the project it doesnt work at all.

This is a very nice and fun puzzle game that could go on to be much bigger if you developed it futher. The sound effects are quiet nice and the simplistic style of the game is very nice.

The main problem that I have is that your characters can go past the checkmark point and of into the void. Its pretty fun when you flip the game when this occurs .

This could definately be put on an app store and do well due to its simple yet satisfying gameplay that can get people hooked for hours. Good job!

I really really love this game. Outstanding work dude! I love how you implemented a story line and animation to tie in each possible gameplay scenario into the plot, I love that. The gameplay loop gives you that push to go futher with the game, to get to the moon. I love how you added sound effects and music into the game that has the same energy as the gameplay.

The only issue I have is that some of the enemies, mainly the white birds, blend in with the background a bit too well.

Other than that, this is probably one of , if not, the strongest contender to win both catagories.

The game looks incredible, nice job! The music, though quiet, was nice to listen to. The gameplay is basic but executed nicely.

The main issue I have is the player position in regards to the camera,  the player character is too far left on the screen for the gameplay to feel natural or good. By either moving the character more to the right or the camera to the left, the gameplay can be so muc better. Also the player character sprite looks a bit out of place to the rest of the game. I think you forgot to turn off certain properties of the sprite when importing it into unity (Filter Mode: Point, Compression: None).

Otherwise, a very nice, good looking game!

I think some are premade sprites (i might be wrong there) but the sprites you made yourself  look pretty nice. I like the fact that you added music and sound effects into your game (the music doesnt really fit all that well, but I appreciate the fact that you added it anyways).

There are some issues that I must address. The first issue I have is that you can easily avoid all the obstacles by floating over them. When you do hit them, the lasers have too big of a hit box and will kill you before you touch them. Maybe just reduce the hitbox to better fit the sprite. In addition, if you die too many time you will spawn right nex to the void and you will just fall through. It might be best to respawn at the start of the level.

Otherwise, a good attempt at a runner, item collection game.

A pretty decent platformer game with responsive controls. I like you character sprite, kinda reminds me of The Knight in Hollow Knight.

The level is quiet easy and lack the variety that makes runners like these fun. Maybe add different platforms or platforms that followed different rules. In addition to that, make sure that your platforms aren't too close together, as it looks weird and doesn't offer anything to gamplay. It might be a good idea to add sound effects to your game and add animations to the lava and other elements.

Otherwise, not a bad attempt at making your game. Keep it up!

P.S OMG you have a quit button. Nice!

I'm impressed with this game. Nice job!

I like the different type of obstacles you put in the way for the player to dodge.  The controls are responsive

The game can be quiet distracting with all of the lighting and reflective surfaces in the game. In addition, when I first tried to start the game, after pressing space, it ended the game immediately. I'm not to sure if that is an issue on my side or not, but it is something to keep in mind.

Otherwise, this is a very strong and interesting game!

Quiet and original idea you got here for your game.

The gameplay quiet lacks purely because all you need to do is spam the spacebar in order to play. Maybe you could have added a cooldown to the space bar, or maybe had different types of rockets that took my presses of the space bar to defeat.

The sound effect when destroying a rocket is a nice touch but the text for losing the city should be a different colour as it blends in with the explosions making it hard to read.

I am unable to download your game. When you build the game, make sure that all of the files it creates are in the same folder. Then zip that folder and put that zipped folder as your submission download.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate that you played my game. I just updated the version to remove the wave text as the freature wasn't completely developed before the deadline.
