First playthrough I did not understand this game at all but had a blast tearing apart the house as a little monster dog. Nice work folks!
I like this. Lots of great artwork on display. Good puzzles and a mince story. Good work!
Good job on making this game. The 3d assets is superb and the dog is so cute :D Though its animation is a bit weird but that's alright. At first I was like, holy cow I can throw everything away and then went to the game itself hahaha. The music is relaxing and I love the dog's bark.
There are some interactable objects that are so weird when trying to interact or jump to because after jumping, these objects are flying away such as the boxes. Probably add some more weight on these boxes to make it more comfortable to interact. Another thing is the responsiveness of mouse input. I tried to right click and there seems to be a delay or times when the dog doesn't bark. I tested the mouse several times on other apps but seems that it has no issue.
Overall I love it :D Well done. Would like to see more development on this game.
Thanks for playing! We're glad you like the dog, he is adorable isn't he. Awesome feedback so thank you for that, you made a lot of great observations and suggestions. I've only just worked out how to fix the physics on the smaller objects like the books and boxes so unfortunately it's too late for me to put that in the final version for the jam but It's something we'll take with us into future games. As for the bark we put in a delay so that the audio wouldn't overlap although the delay could easily be a little shorter yes.
Really nice art but however the gameplay was a little too slow for my liking, the objectives option in the pause menu is a very nice touch to make sure the player knows what they are doing at all times, would be nice to have the controls displayed in the game too in the pause menu and not just in the main menu, overall though, this is a very good game, with a little touch up on the pacing this could be even better! Great job on this
Glad you enjoyed the game, the pacing was quite hard to get right and it is something we are addressing for sure.
The control system is actually in the pause menu, it is just under settings!
Reaaly good work, especially from your 3D artists ! The game is fun to explore, and the physics, even if it's a bit random and unpredictible is appreciated for an entry in a game jam :)
Some feedback though : The "bark" sound is too loud and quite agressive.
Great entry !
Thanks for playing! Our 3D artists worked endlessly to make sure the game looked as good as possible.
Thanks for bringing the "bark" sound to our attention. As of typing, I am working on polishing the game.
So in the next version, this shall be addressed and changed.
Oh and i forgot : sometimes, barking seems to "reset" the background music.
May have fixed that as well! :
Wow great graphics but a bit so slow game
good work overall
Thank you, our modellers will be pleased to hear their work is being appreciated!
I really enjoyed exploring this game. Lots of really great work going on here. It was a bit skitish at times and the collisions were less satisfying than I would have liked, but these are all things that can be worked on. I thought the art was great. Nice job
Thank you so much! Everyone worked super hard on this one so it's always great getting nice feedback. There's definitely room for improvement as you saw. We're making it better and better with each change.
Really cool game! Definitely see the Untitled Goose Game inspiration. Really applaud the 3D artist that did the dog and cat, really fine and well done animation / rigging! Really cute toon-like aesthetic! The collectibles gave the game cool replay value. The sense of humor is pretty hilarious in this game too, really enjoyed getting that cat wet and watching him break through that window. The music is very fitting and comedic and the dog controls were pretty good although it was kind of difficult to drag some of the objects around. I also couldn't pick up the ribs when it was right in front of me and I couldn't figure out how to get the collectible in the glass cabinet or the one on top of the fridge. Really cute game! I'm a homeless dog now haha.
Glad you picked up on the reference, in all honesty I didn't realise that's why we were calling it that until one of my team pointed it out to me. Looks like the game has had the desired effect on you which is absolutely fantastic! 'Are the collectibles too complicated?' is certainly one of the bigger questions. So thank you greatly for your feedback! Let us know if you manage to get the good ending
I love the models in this game, I am actually at uni studying game development and 3d modelling is main main area so I spent a lot of time getting in close and really looking at the models. That set of draws near the fireplace is really amazing the other models were really well done too but that piece was just eye catching for me. The game overall was interesting though I found the mouse buttons didn't always work but that is my only issue with it. otherwise it was really enjoyable. Amazing stuff well done.
Hey, thank you so much for playing and taking the time to leave some feedback! It's always a big help. Everyone on our team is also studying game development at uni so we wish you the best of luck with your studies. Our Modellers will be thrilled to have such awesome praise!
A really interesting concept, and rather ambitious for a jam! I did get frustrated with the janky controls in the dining room though. I felt like I was being attacked by all the chairs, struggling to only 'interact' with one object at a time, or to reliably choose which object that would be.
Great work! I especially liked the 3D art, and the music fit the mood of the game really well.
Really glad you liked it, if you fancy playing again there's a newer polished version out now which fixes a lot of the issues with the original build. You're right! Yes it was a bit. We're always quite ambitious and so we're very pleased to have pulled it off this time round.
nice all original graphics. hope you guys had fun making it.
Thanks you so much, our environment and character artists will be glad to hear you liked their work! We always do, hopefully you enjoyed playing too. Thanks for playing!
