i really like the background and the smoothness of the gameplay. The game is challenging and nice to play. I would allow for a little bit more time at the start before the first jump because when i was just figuring out the controls at the start i would just burst off the building but a really good game though.
i do really like the music as well great job on giving the game a good feeling when you play it
Really fun distraction game, would love the character to be more centred and would love to see some form of scaling difficulty (faster movement over time or more difficult platforms over time) to make the game more interesting to come back to and make it harder to beat that high score every time (if this is already a thing sorry didn't notice it)
This endless runner is really enjoyable and the parallax scrolling is a great background system while the character is running. Overall great game.
I love the overall feel of the game, the art style and the sound make it feel rather melancholic.
The character sometimes got lost in the scenery a bit for me, perhaps putting him a little bit to the right would be better. So he's not hidden in the corner.
Love the fact that it was randomly generated.
Sometimes when there was specific type of building, the stair like one I could get stuck on the lower part and the game sort of stops. Maybe if you could get the camera to (somehow xD) move independently, it could then be game over if the player gets outside of the screen.
But overall love it. I can see me spending quite some time on this. Was he perhaps chasing the train?
Really nice game visually, i loved the art style.
Would have been nice if the music was a little louder and the character more centered but otherwise a lot of fun.
The score system adds replay value as well.
Overall enjoyed it!
love the artwork, nice relaxing music and the score system adds some replay ability, very well made.
The game looks incredible, nice job! The music, though quiet, was nice to listen to. The gameplay is basic but executed nicely.
The main issue I have is the player position in regards to the camera, the player character is too far left on the screen for the gameplay to feel natural or good. By either moving the character more to the right or the camera to the left, the gameplay can be so muc better. Also the player character sprite looks a bit out of place to the rest of the game. I think you forgot to turn off certain properties of the sprite when importing it into unity (Filter Mode: Point, Compression: None).
Otherwise, a very nice, good looking game!
Great game to play, artistic choice was amazing. The music accompanying it was great. There's not a lot else to really say.
UP2037603: Really blown away by the amazing graphics that you put together fast. Feels like a very relaxed game with the city at dusk and that brilliant sun in the background going by. I think the only small bump is that it's quite easy to fall in when you start for the first time as there's not much run up but that's rather minor.
Good game, started a bit to quick off the bat, very like it though, really fun, could play whilst I'm waiting to get into COMP games or something. Some jumps feels like you just can't make it thought
I really like the art style and aesthetic in this game. Gives off chill vibes. A part that stood out to me was the parallax scrolling. This always looks great in games and you pulled it off really well. The game is challenging but not too hard which makes it nice to play.
The only things I would suggest, to improve it, would be firstly to change the characters colour or give him something that makes him stand out from the background. I'd also make the camera lock onto him when he's in the middle of the screen as, along with the change of colour, it would make him a lot easier to focus on instead of him being small and on the far left of the screen with the same colour scheme as the background. Other than that I really enjoyed this game.
Nice artstyle. I like the double jump mechanic too, it's a great addition.
The train following the player's a cool touch too. The game's a fun challenge, and the high score mechanic makes it pretty replayable!
real chill game the double jump feature caught me off guard to begin with but was fun, I quite like the art style you went with in this and the music also the highscore system gave me something to keep trying to better.
This game is a very nice calm game to play the choice of music fits the artstyle very well and the jumping mechanics feel smooth. Also the inclusion of a highscore keeps me playing and trying to beat my personal best.
This game is oddly cozy, super nice art style and music. You did a great job on the jump mechanic (short and long jumps based on how long you hold space), which gives you that extra bit of control with some of the trickier jumps.
It would have been nice for a bit of a run up at the start, I died before I could find my character. Maybe move him closer to the center and texture him with brighter colors.
Really well presented, keeping the player to the left of the screen is good, but I feel like you could probably move it a little bit closer to the center. Maybe some sort of run up at the start of the game would be good, it was quite surprising when the game started and I fell to my death straight away.
Great job on this game! Certainly a unique artstyle.
One problem I do have with this though is the fact that the player is right at the edge of the screen which makes the game not feel centred, looking at other runner games, like subway surfers for example, the player is the main focus so they're at the centre (or close enough to the centre) of the screen, I think this is a fix you can make before the deadline to make your game better, good job on making this though! With a scoring system and a randomly generated map!
This is a nitpick, but this isn't really a one-button game is it? You have to click on the buttons, I think perhaps you should get rid of any buttons and just have the player press space to start!
Oh! I forgot to mention, it's hard to focus on the player because of the colours of the background, maybe if you attempt something like this in the future, make sure the player is the main focus in the game if you're controlling them
I definitely agree with what's already been said about the art style, though I personally don't actually have any issues with the player being the same black as the buildings, I think it adds to the silhouette look of the the whole game.
I do have a couple of suggestions, firstly I think there should be a longer time between the game starting and the first jump in order to let the player get their bearings a bit more, and secondly I'm not sure if the double jump is really necessary to the feel of the game, as far as I can tell all the jumps are possible without it and as weird as this sounds for a game of this style it detracts from realism a bit.
But anyway, great job!
Really like the art style in this, the only suggestion I would make is to change the colour of player. Make the player a more vibrant colour so that it can be easier to see for the player
This game looks amazing, it's such a unique art style!
But does anyone mind letting me know what the player looks like? Maybe I'm blind but I can't seem to see it when I play.
