Wow so amazing that we actually have a playthrough! :D
Thanks, and I'm glad that you've liked it...
I personally don't like narrative in games, but I went for a go...
I think is a best practice if you reward your player with narrative rather than introducing it at first, if it feels like a reward, player should pay more attention and enjoy more, imo.
At platform section I had so much discomfort by seeing the player in the low border of the screen, give at least some ground... Would help a lot.
The music choices was good o/
About your menu: not sure if is something that is auto generated by the software you used... If it was not, well, it was really pretty and great then!
Good job!
Thanks <3
It's the first time I hear someone says that green shield are OP xD, but I get what you mean...
tbh I didn't have allocated time to use for balancing the weapons, I did a soft balance, but wasn't enough.
Add triggers to the change color too, yeah makes perfect sense! Both could be used no problem.
This zoom one no one said before but was something that I felt too, I've already fixed it but I can't upload there yet :b
This one was a really bad mistake, a lot of people in here have the same problem as well... I've changed the text, for something more literal... Not sure if works, but it's better than before.
This jam I lost the first 12h, so everything here was in a 36h production time... And makes me really happy when someone really identify every single aspect of care and polish that I add to the game.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! :D
Was a small, but a really enjoyable experience.
This project is the perfect example why polish matters... I really loved how well polished it was.
But there are some stuff: - The SFX volume is too low, I can't almost hear it; - Maybe you could change the skybox color with the "color's level" or something; - Add a small splash with the logo at start of the game at least, that disappear after pressing any key or something, and then the game starts (can be in the same scene);
Good job!
Gonna play and rate yours, feel free to try mine: https://itch.io/jam/mix-and-game-jam-2020/rate/820924
And there goes a perfect score.
Congratulations on making this game, was one of the few that I actually enjoyed to play as a game! :D
Is always a pleasure to see games like this still being made, so thanks for that!
Now some feedback:
- You could regenerate the health after you clear a level (if I had 1 health, I just went and die to regen);
- I wish the game had some particles as well, would look even better;
- When you game over, there's a problem with resetting everything to default;
- The Ice level was broken ;-; I was so pumped to reach to the end.
Takes a little time to understand how it works, but after you do, it's great! It mixes puzzle + FPS + stealth, works really well.
Good job :D
Hello!
Going to play/rate and give feedback in the jam entry!

This is my game:
And this is my story :b
I started the jam in the right time with a team.
We was working together in an idea that worked for everybody...
After some thoughts, we got a game that we wanted to make! :D
Then after some working in the Game Design, some codes... The team wanted a thing that didn't make sense for me at all, it didn't work for me.
So with this opposite thinking, going separated ways was for the best...
This was in 12 hours of jam.
So I had to make a game idea and all the process with 36 hours.
Since I was solo and had less time, I choose to go for a safe route, making a game that I know it will work with less work time.
Before sleeping in day one, I started to make the concept of Chroma Chroma!
What I did was:
- Read about game genres and write every genre that I would like to work (at least did this in the 1st 12h);
- Then I started to cross every genre that was not possible to make a good project in the time frame;
- I started to think: with the current options, what can I make that will be fun and able to make;
- One thing that I wanted was to have mixing in the mechanic as well;
- So what kind of mixing I can make with low assets amount? After some thought it came to me that I needed to do something color based, after all is just hexes to change it (Y) ;
- Then I knew it was going to be a shooter/bullet hell game, but what about other half? Well, I don't have much time, so let's add some RPG elements o/;
So about the colors:
- Came to my mind that each color had a purpose and the mixed color would have mixed purposes;
- Red is offense, Green is defense, Blue is Utility;
- So a red color is a pure offensive option, green a pure defensive option, blue a pure utility option.
Then I sleep and when I woke up I started to develop it.
The first thing I always do is to make the core game loop work in the game. If the core sucks, the game will suck doesn't matter what you do or add :b...
So a lot of the dev was about mixing the colors, making the weapons, and a simple enemy to tie everything together.
The entire day was around this dev process and making a pretty UI (I love UI :D );
After a big day of working in those mechanics, I went to sleep and made some math on how many hours I needed to finish the project, and how many hours I could sleep :D... The answer was 4 hours.
When I woke up, I went to the market to grab some food that I could eat without wasting much time...
Then I back with the development. It's time to actually make the game look pretty...
I'm really slow at making art, so I went for a basic shapes from unity to make it.
When making a game, I prefer to make it rounded and polished with some elements missing rather than making every elements without being polished and actually looking like a game, with the entire screen flow.
So it was coming the deadline...
I started to scrap out some ideas that wouldn't fit in the time, and then started to publish my game.
10min before deadline, Chroma Chroma was on!
Was a small, but a really enjoyable experience.
This project is the perfect example why polish matters... I really loved how well polished it was.
But there are some stuff:
- The SFX volume is too low, I can't almost hear it;
- Maybe you could change the skybox color with the "color's level" or something;

Good job!
Hello!
Gonna play and rate in the game page.
My game is about bullet hell with small RPG elements, where you mix a color to get a new weapon!
Have a look: https://itch.io/jam/mix-and-game-jam-2020/rate/820924
Enjoy :b
I played it!
The art is really great. I wish it had some polish...
It's a bold choice to make a game purposefully without instructions xD, I get what kind of atmosphere you want to pass in your game. But be careful xD
I solved + -, the color of the meal represented which of the bars that needed to be fed, this meal had a colored color in the specs, and every other one would decrease the other bars related. And those icons, resembles of some body parts. The red one for intestines, the green one a tie (?) and something like that xD
This idea has potential, I liked it.
But some things I didn't:
- There was a lot of camera effects that don't needed and don't actually made sense to your game aesthetics;
- The music was repetitive, but for a game jam, is what we have;
- The ledge grab mechanic makes sense for a ninja game, but it was too tight;
- Mouse to control your attack would be better if you threw a shuriken or something... Just for a regular slash, any key would work better.
Anyway good job!
I enjoyed the creativity, and i didn't got caught off guard like the person below, but was really funny the quote xD
Well, there's a lot of things missing here... So I will focus on what would help with small fixes.
First, add some bgm to the gameplay, it would help a lot;
Second, improve the UI. Seriously, the UI is really important in this kind of game.
Good job o/

Enjoy! <3
It's fine, as you say, if we enjoy... Whatever xD
Feedback is a really important discussion, because what (unfortunately) lack a lot in the industry as a general is some true feedback. I've seen a lot of people in a lot of places already saying something just to make the dev happy, and this can't be helpful. x.x
Makes perfect sense. Since everyone that played couldn't figure this out, I guess it's useful to say it.
Yeah, I totally agree. I still have to play around with some of the values, to see how well it can works. But right now, it heals you x * blue level * green level (amount of bullets that can absorb.
Well, if you move diagonally when there are some enemies around, you gonna understand what I mean xD
Hmm never thought about a player trying to escape, makes perfect sense... And the 10% thing makes sense too!
Sure! Mine is: Suikou#6294
PS: it's fine, don't worry
I've played yours already!
If you didn't do mine, please: https://itch.io/jam/mix-and-game-jam-2020/rate/820924
