Hey thanks! And thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Yeah I agree we certainly needed to work on that difficulty curve, particularly in the beginning. That's an interesting point though about the velocity based projectiles- its not something we'd thought of at all! Will keep this sort of shooting approach in my for future projects.
I had a fun time with this- the idea was solid and you captured that classic arcade ship-shooter feel perfectly! Unfortunately I played solo and feel I kinda cheesed it (Merged my ships into one as soon as I could) which took away the clever strategy side of it haha. I guess that's my own fault but it would've been cool to see some punishment of that reductive strategy. Overall nice work though!

Hey man, that was VERY entertaining and such a mind flip when you introduced the secret mechanic!! (Sadly, I was a slow learner with that one xD) There were some really fun and challenging puzzles there (That last one especially!) and I do wish the walls were a little less sticky haha but overall I really enjoyed that and will now hear your soothing voice in my dreams <3
Again, graphics and music were amazing but I did unfortunately get lost so only know the twist based on peoples comments haha! It's really hard too- like some checkpoints wouldve gone a long way. Still, the game hold up strong- its got a nice feel to it with all the particles and the diegetic healthbar was cool too :D Congrats overall!
That was a really unique and cool idea! It was a risky move, and without your Youtube tutorial I wouldn't have gotten far haha. But for users who are more experienced with this sort of webgame hacking I'm sure it'd have been recieved well! The pixel art was all awesome too- really capturing the baddass feel of the enemy gunman- and when he first unleashed the unfair volley it was like "Oooooh shit" as I cowered behind cover. It's a shame about the time pressure cutting music out but the game still stands strong artistically :)
Also thankyou for the impromptu Cetus tutorial haha!
Holy crap that ending- it actually threw me way offguard! Actual chills!! I'd say overall you got the tone down pat, the smooth noir music and dialogue fit really well and transitioned nicely into the ending. I struggled with hitboxes a little to click on clues properly but that was only a minor thing. I also loved the little touches added to the visuals like the player sprite resizing as they approached the camera. Great game overall though! Thanks for the experience! :D
Heyhey, I came back with the new knowledge and finally beat it haha! The G.A.M.E said something about having already died 4 times already- but I think I might have misread the dialogue- it got me wondering though: was that actually a wincount of players beating the game? :O Again though, nice job! Only other thing I'd add now is a sprint button may have been nice (Just because I wanted to keep sprinting back to where I'd died haha)
Wow, I think what got me most about this game is that you succesfully pulled off two major ideas very well at the same time!!
Like take out the menu dialogue and detective puzzles and you have a solid puzzle platformer with a really unique and engaging mechanic! I Was stuck for quite a while on some of those later levels but the game really gave me a good sense of that "AHA!!" moment that everybody strives for in puzzle games.
Then, you put all that aside, and you have a well thought out dialogue system and humourous- theme specific menu minigame which honestly could've stood alone in the submission with just placeholder levels.
But you managed to pull both off in a really smooth and engaging way so omg bravo to you!! As most people have mentioned, the only drawback was the lack of sound but despite that, this was one of the best games I've played so far!
Wow man, you crammed a lot into this! I liked the little death animations and glow effects. I felt the menu music was cool but probably could've prioritised its usage ingame so we got to hear more of it! I loved the inventive ways you used each of the enemies to present different challenges like the ones that block corridors and the ones that all set eachother off! I tried... I really tried... but I could not complete the final area :'( Its that damn bridge of exploders D: But regardless, this is an awesome game with some real clever ideas! Congrats :D
