I loved playing this game even though it was hard to control, which I believe was the challenge of the gameplay,  but I like this genre and the collection and growing part are really nice. I think you really made a solid entry here.

Congratulations on a job well done :)

It is quite a difficult game for me. And probably I am not patient enough to fully appreciate the atmosphere and the gameplay:P however I like the idea and the performance, the music is very relaxing.

This is a fun game. I really like the feel of the of the player. It is visually very interesting. The sounds and music really sold the feeling well. I found my self needing to get the to biggest possible asteroid. This is a great game. Awesome Job!

Very zen-like and relaxing. I enjoyed just floating around and scooping up shiny metals. Felt good to pick up those asteroids that once threatened my existence!

it was so fun. hard to control. I expected an ending or a cutscene at least but nothing happened after all the effort

Developer

I suppose the game is all about the journey, not the destination... jk, I just didn't have time to do any sort of end-game sequence.

Looks great! The fun steering mechanic combined with the music made it feel really relaxing and I just lost track of time while playing it. It reminds me a bit of the flash games from the 2010s :D

I liked this, nice and relaxing... a bigger hit box would have been nice. Good to see the asteroid grow!

Love the atmosphere. It is very relaxing to just traverse the vast space and slowly grow. The control is a bit weird but I think it gives the game a unique feel. Very polished, especially the UI. Really like the SFX and the music too. Nicely done! Amazing that you managed to make such a complete game on your own in 10 days!

Very cool. This is one of those games where I could find myself losing a bunch of time in an evening while listening to a podcast or something. I actually think the game might be better without the penalty of losing your size and just doubling down on the relaxing nature of it. I thought this was great overall.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback. I would like to eventually extend the gameplay to include progression to a moon, planet, star, and black hole (such as in Solar 2). I'll likely be looking at ways to reduce the frustration factor to keep players engaged long enough to see the progression.

very interesting game , found it a little difficult to move the ship around to collect " stardust "

maybe a little bigger hit box ?

Nice game, so calming:P But I had a little bit problems with aiming at targets and eat them I enden up speeding through space and eating what I got :D

If you have the time, can you rate mine, too?

This is a nice chill game. I like how you needed some difference in velocity to absorb the other asteroid chunks.

What was with the little secondary ship? Since it looks like the ship from Asteroids, it would be neat if it helped by blasting apart the larger asteroid chunks

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'll jot down your suggestion in my list of possible post-jam additions.

Nice game - you got the physics spot on. Even the mastiff engine has a rough time once the mass gets high :) I have a similar control mechanic in my game - hope you have time to try it out.

By the way, I got to max mass (in about 30 mins). Was there an end-game? I wondered about the little ship that was pootling around, though he seemed to disappear somehow. Didn't want to miss anything.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Nope, no official ending sequence. Once you get to max mass that's currently the end of the experience. The ship is there to create the possibility of attachment between it and the player. It doesn't do anything but roam around nearby and "observe", but it has the possibility of losing interest and roaming off.

It showed up again and I got the feeling it was a nod to the original Asteroids game :)

Thanks for playing!

Really nice game, the sounds are great and the space dust in the background is looking really cool.

Maybe you should add a feature to control the engine's power, like in Kerbal Space Program to be able to navigate easier.

Developer(+1)

This is a great suggestion! I will add this to my list of possible post-jam additions. I'll very likely add this one.

Nice theme, nice game!

Cool game. I had a great time playing it!

Maybe it would change a little the visual differentiation of some asteroids, because I got the impression that there were some that I couldn't absorb their mass even when I was in the stages where my asteroid was really big, could it be?

Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree. The intuition around what you can and can't absorb is pretty fuzzy right now. This is something I might clean up in post-jam iterations of the project.

Great game! I had a lot of fun Such a wonderful experience! everything was so good, mechanics music sound FXs, well done.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Congrats on a very nice atmospheric game. The music and sounds definetaley set the right mode.

An option to switch the "A" and "D" keys would be great. It felt like it should have been the other way round.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I've released a patch that fixes the steering input and allows players to invert it again if they so choose.
