Great game, lots of fun! good job on the upgrade system. I really enjoyed it!

full health

too easy

Had a lot of fun with this one; felt a bit easy because of how little cooldown there was on the dash, but very satisfying movement and attacks.

This game is great! With a bit more of a lively/filled out environment, added enemies, added abilities perhaps, this could easily be a game worth buying. Played with my little dude, we had a lot of fun. :)

Great entry!

This game is amazing! It's so well polished, the SFX are all so fitting and impactful, the gameplay is simple but addicting, and I didn't get sick of the music throughout my entire 20-minute playtime. There is nothing bad I can say about this game, it's just good in all of its entirety. Well done!

If I had to provide any little bit of criticism, it'd be that perhaps an indication of which rooms were completed would be nice. My puny brain couldn't remember which rooms I've cleared before, so I sometimes went around in circles.

Incredible game. Everything was extremely satisfying. I really wish I had checked the menu more before playing because I found using Y really awkward and should have rebound it, but I was able to get to level 7 with that though! Then I somehow died basically immediately and I'm not sure why.

Super impressed overall. The art and sound were great, the gameplay felt great. Fantastic entry!

Really nice game! I loved how you implemented the possibility of unlocking some powers with the concept of shrines! Also, the controls felt really smooth.

The gameplay was just... too hard for me ^^" I tried multiple times, but I'm not the fastest keyboarder (?) and I couldn't pass level one. I'm a bit sad that I could not see what the future has for me :')

Man does it feel good to be overpowered! Fast bouncing auto-aiming discs are just satisfying. Even if I had mostly to dash and throw the disc in a random direction, the game felt tense all the way along. I guess it has a really good balancing? It was really fun to complete! My only issue was that I kept confusing the dash button with the throw button. Fortunately they are configurable (well done!), but I never found a combination that really clicked perfectly. Still, I appreciate the simplicity of the two buttons controls. It's a very solid entry!

Wow, really solid entry, the artstyle and gameplay are great, apart from what the others have said about enemy variety, the game is great

The amount of times I died in this game... is awesome! :D

Good rogelike, hard to master, good art, and very enjoyable

Very nice entry,  fun, and polished.

Thought I had the game all figured out then went and messed up trying to avoid spikes...

Will take a break and hope to come back to try again to beat it

One small nitpick - there are no animations for throwing the discs. Was the character from another game? I feel like I have seen him before.

I love roguelikes and kudos to you for making one for a game jam. The shooting mechanic is very interesting and unique, however it wasn't my cup of tea. I found that the best way to proceed is to just kite the enemies into a big bunch and then shoot them, and this became very repetitive very fast. The upgrade system is cool, but it kinda feels like the Shrine theme was shoehorned into the game, like the upgrade shrines could have been anything else and it wouldn't have changed the feel of the game much.

Also not sure if this is intended but sometimes I would take damage from the spikes even when I am running across them, felt like a game of chance whether or not I would take random damage form crossing spikes.

I love Roguelikes and this game is very very good! Reminds me of Binding of Isaac. The music is my favorite of the game, kudos to the sound guys. Art is very good and it really made me want to play the game. I think a variety of enemies would be ideal as it does get very repetitive. Maybe a way to heal from monster drops would be good too  I found 2 bugs in the game where you are able to throw the discs through the door and it doesn't come back, and the other one is when you dont get damage when the eyeballs are in the middle of their animation.

Dang, there's a lot here! The presentation is really solid, and all the roguelike elements are present and correct. I initially thought the lack of enemy variety was a shame, but on reflection, I'm really glad I didn't have to manage different enemy patterns.

Two tiny nitpicks: the key prompts don't change when you rebind the keys, and config changes aren't saved when you refresh the page. Other than that, it's really solid.

As a fan of roguelikes, I liked this a lot! A very polished experience, though I was hoping for a boss fight at the end :)
I really liked the details like the ghost trail for the disks and that frozen enemies take damage from spikes.
One suggestion is to make the rarer power-ups more likely to appear or even guaranteed after a certain point. I finished a run with only the basic power-ups, though I was more than strong enough by then.
Really nice work!

Awesome job! The presentation is great, and the disc weapon puts a really interesting and unique spin on this type of roguelike (Hell I even did one for last month's jam lol). The animations and sound effects make everything feel appropriately weighty and satisfying. There seem to be a lot of interesting upgrades to the disk too which is cool.

My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that there aren't more types of enemies/hazards. Once you get used to the controls every room kind of ends up being you just kiting the eyeballs around (The spiked floors definitely help with that a bit though).

Obviously there are time constraints with stuff like that, but I could easily see this being expanded upon into a full game! Great job!

Thanks! I'd love to continue working on this after taking some time to refactor some of the terrible code I wrote to get this finished in time, so your feedback is very much appreciated :D
