Very interesting concept, really subverted alot of my expectations HAHAHA

There are plenty of areas that I feel could really be polished to make this game pop, I’ll list what I could find if you’re interested!

Polish details: - Movement feels too slippery for someone walking on grass
- janky target selection for interactions, when Im near multiple objects I struggle to feed the pet I want, or I end up feeding when I want to fertilize the tree, etc
- Sometimes pets glitch on the spot, constantly flipping left and right at insane speeds
- The game's audio settings do nothing to adjust the game volumes, and switching out of focus causes the music to glitch and loop weirdly
- My tree vanished after a certain size! and then my money exploded to super massive numbers and sometimes goes into super massive negative numbers as well

Charming game, really hope to see it shine through all the bugs to show its true potential!

Fun, charming resource management sim :D I especially enjoy the art and beautiful soundtrack! The game could afford to tell me more useful information with less guesswork (food/water can be shown as a resource on the top left as well, show me the qty of “invisible” resources such as wheat and dirt water, etc)
Overall, the experience and economy was really well executed within the time limit, great work coordinating such a large team for the jam! xD

Great idea!

Simple, charming game! I really enjoyed it :)
The significance of each building isnt communicated very well, after I learnt that they all shoot bullets, things got repetitive fast. It was still a joy picking up resources to expand my fort, so there’s definitely room for much more to be built on top of what you’ve already got!

This game is adorable! The controls could definitely use more polishing, but the UX work required to get 3D drag-and-drop mechanics feeling great is an extremely difficult task :’) My main suggestion would be to give some love to an introduction to how the game loop works (a smaller set of islands, less animals, show me what I’m looking out for and how to win a round), and then more feedback for the most important info required to clear a round! Such as remaining animals alive, or time remaining till the level is complete. Still, great work!

Heyo! I’m not sure how this stream works so I’ll just plop my game link here :D I’ll be watching ya for abit while Im awake!! (It’s 2.30am here HAHA) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2970514

So much personality packed into such a simple setup!

Spoilers From the music changes to the abrupt pop-ups appearing when I grab what I assumed was "simply" health and time, I loved every bit of this charming little setup of 4 platforms and a cloud boss fight :D
Fun jam submission, well done!

What an interesting idea! Kinda bummed it crashed multiple times, and the "calm" part of finding allies was actually much more stressful than the turn-based combat HAHAHA

I'd love to see more descriptions in place of images that are difficult to deduce what they mean. Resources are fine, but the attack phase actions and status effects are really difficult to navigate, I had to return to my gamer roots to trial and error what they mean to interpret the fun out of them. Help ease your players into what makes the game fun!

All in all a great start, hope to see more built out of this!

Rated and commented, you've got something really interesting there :D here's the link to mine!

Disturbing atmospheric puzzle well executed! The controls are really simple, so the focus turns towards the puzzle, the environment, and the curiosity to find out what's up. I'd suggest some cues to hint towards locations better, especially less intuitive ones like "back" (the piano/other place suddenly doesnt have one and got me stumped for abit wondering if it's a bug). Otherwise, the stylistic choice of art, sounds, and even the slow fade all contributed really well to the creepy experience. Great job!

Here's mine~ I was still tryna kill the Goblin God and I totally forgot to post this HAHA

Wow how did I not find this sooner!! This game is a gem of a jam, if anything Im only frustrated cos I couldn't reach the Goblin God after an hour of gameplay T-T And you did this alone?? Man, really well done :D

Your game slaps xD Here's mine if ya wanna give it a go~

This game is flooding with personality HAHAHA Im especially digging the error sound that leads into the music when a large storm comes, like wtheck xDD also, the storms get comically HUGE HAHAHA

All in all, a game that really slaps a smile on my face :D

Exciting experience, simple and concise gameplay! Here's an interesting thing to consider: as a PC gamer who's super used to WASD movement, when I noticed that A/D could move my boat, I assumed that the game was just stuck after nothing happens for awhile of me moving back and forth - I suggest checking for all horizontal inputs rather than just the arrow keys as you instructed, or to strictly only let the boat move with the arrow keys and nothing else. Other than that nitpick though, everything else was pretty neat, great submission!

Deep story and very well implemented audio + music! I noticed you've already got something prepared to deal with the slow text, so my next best input from the perspective of a "game" would be to maybe provide some meaningful actions for the player? Even seemingly small tasks like helping the builder for abit to relive old times as friends could really spice up the perks of having interactions in an otherwise already beautiful side-scrolling storybook. Just my 2 cents!

Charming experience! Love the zombies singing along to the song, very adorable xD I'd suggest slowing down the movement a tad bit, and give the holes more leeway to walk around + maybe red tape around them to let me know they're dangerous? It took me a good few tries of wondering why Im randomly being restarted to realise Im falling into them and they ignore my 3 lives entirely :')

Great job packaging the game for the jam, the 100 coins objective made me determined enough to wanna see it through to the end despite the setbacks :D

Charming and beautiful game! There's definitely room for game design improvements (with units, enemy behaviours, resource balancing, etc) but for what's done in a week, it's really impressive! I was entertained enough to upgrade my buildings and build enough an army to see the game through to the very end :D

Seriously, as a fellow solo jammer, mad props for pulling through <3

Wow your game looks STUNNING! Can't wait to give it a shot!

Mine's about a witch having to venture into a dangerous grove to pick rare fruit, while fighting off the creatures that guard the grove!

Woahh I was fully immersed into the whole experience, it was tense and thrilling! Great work on the impending storm audio and background music in particular, they slap HARD <3

Brings me back to the old-school flash era of TD games! I'd definitely love to see more positions to place towers and better balancing between the differently priced towers (the expensive ones just dont feel worth their money at the moment)! It might be really helpful taking reference from your favourite tower defense games out there to see how to better pace each wave, some small adjustments can really make this game much more enjoyable!

Overall, great start! :D

Heyo! Playing your game now! Here's what I've got :D

A simple "spin" goes a long way xD What a fun little experience!

Swinging by! Hope you enjoy my entry!

The storm is the calm and the calm is the storm!! I definitely had a blast playing this one! Aside from the really loud audio, I found the entire experience very charming and creative! Great submission to the jam!

Omg video! I loove watching people play my stuff xD

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2970514

If you find the time to play up to this point, hope you enjoy my submission :D

Glad to see you also promoting the games of others' in this thread :D I'd throw karma points at you if I could xD

Swinging by~ Played and rated yours :D Really good effort on your submission!

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2970514

You've laid the foundations for a crafting survival game, which is quite a huge scope of a game to try to accomplish so good job on the attempt! There are definitely plenty of rough edges to work out, especially in the controls, UI and audio, hope to see ya keep working on it after the jam!

Swinging by~ Hope you enjoy mine as much as I did for yours!

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2970514

Cute concept! Mad props to the music, those transitions between locations and events were beautiful <3

Wow that's alot of work and detail going into a week of work, really well done!! I'd love to see some tweaks to make the driving experience less clunky, I understand the need to make it chaotic but it kinda encroaches into frustration atm, the bombs and obstacles are already chaotic enough to deal with without having to also wrestle with myself. But all in all, a massive thumbs up for delivering this polished state of a game out the oven, great job!

Swinging by~ looking forward to your constructivism!!

Here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2970514

A great foundation for what could become a really exciting action roguelike! Hope to see ya polish up the rough corners, throw in some impactful attack feedbacks, speed up the pace of gameplay, then give the audio/music department some love as well!
