The city was definitelly a challange! Mostly because its 7 layers of tilemaps used to make it feel 3D and you need to set it up in a way that makes sense for a city. The roaming people are the job of our programmer, no idea how he managed to do that in time haha! Thank you so much for playing and leaving a review!
Amazing! Sometimes a short and polished idea is better than a long and broken one. I enjoyed this very much, putting so much thought into the details must have taken a lot of time and research. Amazing presentation, great work! A longer game in this style with different gods would be something Id pay for!
Nice game! I like the idea, it must have been hard to make it work. Im quite interested in how the base mechanic of the game works in engine, if you could share it. :D (Im not that smart on this stuff, Im the artist of our team, but Id still like to know!) Some more feedback would be nice, but nothing can be perfect in a gamejam game. Also the music didnt loop for me. Otherwise I liked it! Congrats!
I really like the idea! However, the controls did not do it justice.
1. the fact that you cant place tiles on the far right and far left side cause my guy to fall through way too many times. :(
2. the movement of the tiles was really choppy. I felt like I could never place them where I want to. They always slided way too right or left or way too up or down. It was annoying.
3. getting rid of tiles would be a welcomed feature, my little guy got stuck between two again too many times.
However as I said, I loved the idea! The art was reallynice, the little guy turning around was really well done. The sound design also suits it really well. Overall, great job! I know that balancing is really hard in gamejams, so dont take my feedback too harsh please. :D Congrats!
maybe instead of using the C,D,E,F,G,A , you could take a 6 note chord. Then change the chord used across levels, so some levels would feel sad and other happy, for example. That could make it more interesting! Or maybe using a tremolo effect for when the character walks, so it would emulate te sound of steps. Something like that could work. :D
Amazing game" I had a great time with the puzzles! And the message was wholesome as well. :) Id suggest making the frog jumping faster at the start and the end, so it wouldnt feel so floaty. Using some sort of a tween could help that I guess? Im the artist of our team haha, so Im guessing that tween would work for that. Anyways, I had a great time! Great work!
