Reminds me a lot of Contra and Gunstar Heroes. I think it's a little tough to get a feel for if bullets are on a pre-set pattern or if they're just tracking for where you are at. Good job!

I like the concept a lot, I feel there's just something a bit with the responsiveness that feels really off. It's hard to plan how your jumps are going to work with the waves, but I think there's a nice base here to work with and add on some fun things with new obstacles and how they might interact with each other. Nice work!

Best compliment we could have received, in my eyes :) Thanks for the thorough feedback, I'm taking notes. Definitely didn't get to fully tuning the combat and dialing in gameplay as much as we would have liked, but sometimes that's how it goes with a jam. Already jumped on that bug you mentioned so thanks for that, already pushed up a fix and will try to update the itch build as well.
I really enjoyed it! I couldn't figure out how to sell anything though. One thing I found a little confusing was the repair icon on pieces made me think it was a "scrap" or sell icon, maybe just using the classic "wrench" icon for repair for both the mech and parts would communicate it better. Overall you all made something that's really polished, fun to play, and a looks and sounds great!
Thanks a lot! Yeah, there were some cut features like shields and some weapon art that didn't make it in. Fortunately I think it's in a place where adding that stuff in will not be too difficult as a lot of the support is already there. And I want to smooth out the rough edges on the combat (and maybe reducing the amount of inputs). Thanks for playing!
Thanks! Been trying to fix a couple gamebreaking bugs, so hopefully if you ran into those I'd hope you'd try it again. From here I want to smooth out the rough edges on the combat. There's definitely a lot more that I'd like to add (more weapons! more mechs! more animations! pilot portraits!) and I'm hoping we're in a good place to do that soon in the future.
