a common concept this jam but a pretty good excecution! I like the inclusion of the air currents, I hadn't seen that before. I'll be honest I did get stuck pretty fast on the level where you need to go up a few 1-block platforms because the way the character controls just made it much too hard. other than that the only feedback I would have liked size changing to have a bigger impact in the gameplay, it didn't seem required for anything but the tutorial. maybe there's more of it in later levels though?

This is fucked up, give me more

one of the most polished games of the jam yet! I think it has potential for something bigger once you introduce some more mechanics like blocked off spaces

this seems like a game with very cool and deep mechanics that I unfortunately do not understand at all. the art is very pretty though! also I can't believe this is the only game that used fractals for the theme I've seen. it's so obvious in hindsight!

a great game in every aspect!

I really like the idea of making your own little aliens, feels almost a bit spore-like. I think you could have used a bit more playtesting though since I was pretty confused for parts of the game.

didn't really understand how to use the proxies, some more explanation would have been good. I do like the concept it's just a shame I didn't  get to play that much since I can't progress.

very pretty game! shame that the controls are a bit clunky but overall a good experience

love the shader effect on the background! and yes to mimic what everyone else is saying it's a great game just missing some way to limit how many towers you can place.

highly creative idea! fell right into the dalmatian trap

I should have rewarded the player with cheese at the end of my game, too

everything else has been said already but I just wanted to chime in that portalgeist is a fantastic name

I like the dual interpretation of the theme and the art is really pretty, too!

there's not a lot to the gameplay but the vibe is immaculate🗿

very clever mechanic! It's a weird mix of tower defense and base building I've never seen before

my own complaint is that I've already finished all the levels, 10/10

super impressive that you managed to make this within 48 hours. bonus points because I managed to promote my own game using yours

cute! just missing a way to remove tracks.

just tried yours, it's good! you're right that they're weirdly similar yet still have their own unique vibe.

being able to scale the character as well as the environment was quite neat as well as making you decide on what transformations to apply before playing the level

this game is super cute!

lovely game! levels seem a bit tough though and sometimes it was a bit hard to get the block to move how I wanted it to.

fantastic interpretation of the theme and really pretty art too!

quite enjoyable and cute but it gets repetetive after a while

can't say I was expecting to turn into a fetus this evening. amazing animations!

I like the idea, maybe I didn't play for long enough but I didn't really feel like the balancing part was that hard? I think there's some potential here though!

nice concept! I love the art, the first thing I noticed when I loaded in was how snappy the walk animation was!

Glad you like it!

This is just level one so not done yet. The limited space you have available for the grabbers is part of the challenge. But if this is recurring feedback I'll rethink that or find a way to better communicate this with the player.

Yeah I'm aware. ui implement is next on the priority list.

Do you mean behind the bottle? I might need to figure out a way to stop that from happening that's not just a n invisible wall. Originally that's why I decided to add a reset button (not implemented yet) but it does suck a bit to lose all progress.

our music guy knocked it out of the park for sure. The game does have a black shadow that firms right where a fly is about to swat, but it happens quite fast so it is easy to miss. The game freezing at the end is a known issue, we didn't have enough time to look into it.

thank you, we had a blast making it so glad you're enjoying it too! And yeah, unfortunately we ran out of time before we could implement the menu fully.

Thank you! And yeah, unfortunately we didn't have time to fully implement the menu.

You should be able to grab onto them by holding the spacebar when you're behind them

I had some trouble with getting the candy to the customer, I picked it up but I couldn't figure out how to give it to them.

This is amazing fun! I loved the voice acting of the little pirates on the ship.

hey, if you're interested I can do art. you can check my itch profile to see some of my previous work. I also have some other stuff on my website, www.pieterpauwels.be

Thank you for the feedback! we did consider coloring the slimes from other dimensions but decided against it as it would go against the "only one color" theme. in the end we didn't feel like it had a big impact on the gameplay since it's very easy to switch colors and there's no form of cooldown on it.

The switching is by scrolling the mouse wheel, not by clicking it. perhaps that could have been made more clear. I appreciate the feedback though!
