great feedback on the sudden return to movement after combat, I’ll try think of a way to counteract this without slowing things down too much. maybe a second of I-frame would be enough

thank you so much! you are too kind, I actually had a little music prepared for the game but it wasn’t finished so omitted it in the end. will include it in the post jam patch :)

Amazing job on the aesthetic and animations, it looks great!

One of my favourite games in the jam, well done! Aesthetic and music are also great

Absolutely love this! Love the punch out inspiration, feels very smooth and responsive. Aesthetic and vibe is really good too! Great submission

Really like the game! A cool direction might be to have cave ins or falling blocks like Mr. Driller

i really like the aesthetic, it gives me warm nostalgic feelings which is a great start.

Keep it up, i hope you get to finish your larger concept some day!

Thank you for playing! Glad to hear you had fun. Love the idea on the positioning playing a stronger role in combat. Definitely would be a more strategic element that would serve the game massively.

Thanks for the feedback! I absolutely agree on your points with the more varied attacks, sadly the fight/spell variety was what had to be cut in the end to get it published. Really like the idea of flipping the script and having a bullet heaven aspect though, or placing your own projectiles. I didn't really consider something like that. If i came back to it or remade the game it would be a lot of fun to take it in that sort of direction.

nice game! i think the music doesn't totally suit the gameplay but otherwise i really liked it

really nice vibe, good combination of art and music! saw in your post mortem you made some changes that messed up the combat system, would highly recommend looking into git/version control as it has saved me countless times for these jams

great work for your first solo project! :) really like the concept, with some more mechanics added it would be super interesting

once i got playing i enjoyed the gameplay itself, however i had to refresh multiple times to be able to start. for some reason the ui was locked and i couldn't figure out what to do. i really like the upgrades and progression and the aesthetic, however i think improved sound and ui design would allow you to gather much more feedback.

ui and design gave me strong rayman raving rabbids vibes, love it! took me a while to get the hang of the movement, i think a game like this would benefit a lot from a tutorial that teaches basic movement concepts with NPC players you can imitate perhaps?

seriously beautiful artwork, love their animations and designs! could totally see this being expanded with multiple levels and even more goobers to choose from

grey factory zone went hard

slow start but gets good at the endgame

Thank you! There was a point where I decided not to cap the upgrades on the weapons because the chaos was just too funny. Glad you liked it!

Great work on your game, I hope to see you in another jam :)

Thank you so much! Glad to hear it brought you a smile!! Tbh the aesthetic is mostly to cover the fact I cannot design that well hahaha but I’m glad I could make something that looks p cool with my lack of skills

I love the aesthetic and sound effects on this one, good job. Would be cool to see it be a bit more sandbox-y, like a few different solutions per puzzle I think that would be very interesting

I really like this one :) the gameplay is interesting, I could totally see a game like this working in a rogue-like sort of way. I love the little kiwi, but some backgrounds would really help the aesthetics. The UI was clear. I don't feel like it fits the theme that well personally, but I still found it very enjoyable. Good job :)

Love the aesthetic on this one! :)

I adore the aesthetic, looks amazing and fit the theme really well.

Had to give audio a 1, you captured the vast silence of space well but the ship could have used a radio :) i did enjoy the talking sound effects and the overall tutorial design. game play was really fun! Good UI and one of the few games that worked in high resolution :)

The first game to work properly in full screen :) kudos

Wanted to give gameplay a 4 but felt a bit clunky. Jump pads were also clunky. Loved the jump on key and the final running on locks segment. Lighting was really cool. Appreciate the voice acting. Very good animation was surprised at the res animation and not just a teleport back to checkpoint. Could have fit the theme better instead of only having one item.

i really liked the art style and i liked that you worked the theme into the lore :) very creative and impressive. my housemate said she wanted the ending to be more celebratory

very good visuals and music and sound effects and animations, really enjoyed it feels very complete! i liked the sprite design as well
i thought the sword was for combat at the start, maybe a different tool sprite would have been better like a hoe or something rather than a melee weapon. also a bat attacked me right as i came down the stairs

enjoyed it but some crunchy sound effects and a thumbnail would go a long way :)
