Very unique game, haven't seen another game so far about a zoetrope in this game jam! I like the art and animation style, has a lot of potential for future development!

I actually didn't realize that the boss was in the right hand corner at first, so I was shooting randomly trying to see what affected the boss health bar. I think it would be more intuitive if the boss moved around or was a prominent part of the scene. Overall I enjoyed the game!

I'll play your game tonight after work! I'd also appreciate if you looked at mine: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Played and rated your game! Here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Also you should edit your post to include the link to your game too, I had to search it on your profile!

The art is really nice, as is the dialog! The controls seem very unresponsive for an action game, I would make the wind-up a lot shorter and the hitbox bigger for the attack. Also I think I found a bug, where if you stand at the location where the boss comes on screen, you immediately get damaged when the dialog finishes.

Anyways, nice job and I look forward to seeing what you do in the future :)

Rated your game! It would be cool if you could rate mine too: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Very cute and fun game, very unique mechanic! Not much criticism I can give, I really enjoyed it.

It was really fun trying to bunch up the asteroids to get multiple in one spin, it might be worth giving a bonus for doing this, or make this easier to do by varying the asteroid orbit sizes

Oh no, addicting clicker games are my weak spot x.x spent way too long on this. I like how the UI elements are slowly introduced, though there were times I got confused what each new thing did. Overall an enjoyable game!

The art is really nice and cohesive, and I love how the bosses all have clear telegraphs for their attacks (the dice faces changing was my favorite)! I do think the player's attack range should be a big longer, and the amount of boss health could be tweaked a bit.

Love the intro, love the game concept of the arena changing depending on the wheel! I think the wind-up to the attack should be a bit shorter, especially for a more fast-paced game like this. Nice job!

Very stylish! The artstyle, music, and sound effects really complement each other and I had fun with this! Only nitpick is there should be a way to skip the narrator when you die

I totally forgot to upload a linux or web build of my game *facepalm* but as a fellow linux-only user, I want to point out that you can use Lutris to play windows games. It takes care of handling the wine and proton compatibility layers for you, and it's what I've been using to play all these windows games without issue so far!

Edit: it's all free and open source

(I know you can't play my game, but if you ever try lutris or wine, you can check it out. I'll add a web version post jam: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792)

Thanks for playing our game! We did try to include a tutorial in the dialogue at the beginning (explains everything but WASD), but embedding the controls is good feedback!

Absolutely love the music remix you made, perfect soundtrack for this game

This game has hella personality, I like it! Hilarious cutscenes and addicting gameplay loop. I'm still trying to figure out if all the boss moves are avoidable or not. Anyways, great submission!

I'm currently playing your game, absolutely love the cutscene animations xD I'll leave a rating and review once I finish

Here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

How the heck did you make this in a month, this is super impressive! I feel like I would spend so much time on this if it was a full game. I don't have much feedback, this is super polished for a game jam game.

I think an interactive tutorial would be really helpful in understanding the game, but I also think you made the right choice prioritizing the mechanics and visuals first.

Playing your game right now! Here is mine, I would really appreciate some feedback: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Thanks so much for the feedback and we're glad you enjoyed! Making hurt/recoil and death animations were on the backlog, but got chopped due to time constraints so I just added a simple flash red effect :') we will definitely add better cues and knockback in the future!

We're so glad you enjoyed it! We do want to continue building this story and world :)

We didn't have time to make our own music due to time/skill constraints, but I do want to dip my toes into making music in future projects!

Thanks for playing! We will absolutely polish more since we stated the jam very late and this is our first game

Played! The lore seems very interesting, I like the opening cutscene. I do want the ability to skip if I ever open the game a second time. It took me a while to find the bosses and even longer to figure out "T" is the attack button, I may have missed a tutorial. I'm also not sure what the hitboxes are for the attack.

However I do like that the bosses seem tied to the lore. You seem to have built a really cool world, I'd like to see it developed more!

Played your game and left a comment/review! Check out my game too: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Aside from the very hard first boss (as many other comments have suggested), I think this is a pretty neat game.!

The only other thing I would add is that with only 4hp, I'd want to see some impact to know I'm being hit (sound effect, screen shake, frame freeze, vfx, etc)

Rated your game! Here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Simple but surprisingly satisfying game! I expected it to be easy but the difficulty ramps up pretty well. As others have said, a mobile version would be kinder to my wrist

Really like the artstyle, the controls feel responsive and the special effects (blood, dash, gun fire) all feel really nice. I usually don't like fps-style games but I enjoyed this one

Played your entry and left a comment, I really like the unique control scheme!

Here is my game: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Very unique game and control scheme! I don't think I ever got used to the controls and was scrambling to survive the entire time. I think a few physics tweaks would make it feel a lot more responsive. Overall I enjoyed it!

I like this game! Took me way too long to figure out that you had to duck when the boss throws a table, but when I got that the gameplay of trying to look for an opening to throw your shots is fun! Also the boss throwing curse words at you is pretty funny

Checking out your game right now! I'd appreciate some feedback for my submission too: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Just played the game and left a rating, it was really fun!

Check out our game too, hope I'm not too late -> https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Love this game, the art is great and very cohesive! The bullet hell alone is pretty fun to play through, but layered with the bullet color mechanic makes this a really unique game!

Rated and commented! Check out our game too: https://itch.io/jam/boss-rush-jam-2025/rate/3292792

Very nice, I like how you can't die and the penalty is just stunning your ship. If you expand on the game you could do some cool things with that idea! As some other comments said, holding down a button to shoot would be nice. The health of the city seems pretty generous, could be a bit more difficult.

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed! We were aiming for difficult but fair, glad that experience got through

Can you upload a Windows/Linux/Web build? Seems like the only downloadable file is a .dmg, and mac is the only platform I don't have :'(
