Very cute game with awesome graphics for such a short jam. Audio works great and the gameplay loop is engaging. My only complaint is that the camera makes it hard to judge your location in the level, so making the jumps up on the shelves is difficult not because the jumping is implemented poorly, but simply because it's hard to tell where you are in the world. maybe a shadow or something under the player model to show where you will be when you land might help?

Overall great game with a neat mechanic of being quiet while stealing the toys.

The mash up of a bunch of different art styles was interesting. A lot of the enemies were upside down. It didn't seem like there was much in the way of feedback telling me I was being hit either.

Overall nice effort.

Pretty fun to sneaky step around as Santa. The one house top right has a fairly impossible dog area where he is staring directly at the door. Short game but looks good and fun.

Super fun and very polished for a two day game. I'm not entirely sure what happened but at the end of the game when the creature (maybe a cat?) began to cross the screen it trapped me until I died, and then the game just crashed.

Overall very fun and the wall bounce mechanic was done well.

Great start and an awesome submission for a first game. On my playthrough there were only about 6 enemies total. After I killed each of them there was nothing else to do. Not sure if there was meant to be more enemies or anything but it lasted about 20 or 30 seconds. Great start.

Clean visuals but the hitboxes on the toys are very hard to determine. It was very difficult to progress past even the very first room because it is unclear what will trigger a sound.

Overall good idea with decent implementation.

Gameplay was insanely hard, with resets back to the very first level on any death. Two bullets to kill someone in the very first room is also very difficult.

Overall very difficult game that does not really fit the special object well, since the toy doesn't really add anything to the gameplay at all.

Quick and fun game. The color of the deadzone areas are a little strange. Red for blocks you can stand on while yellow for do not touch sometimes, unless it's kind of orange-ish yellow was a bit strange. I love that the player is colored until he runs out of jumps and then is drained of color. Very nice touch.

Overall fun game but not quite fitting of the theme and special object.

Snowby was never really supposed to be controlled by the player. He is like a "Tickle Me Elmo" style toy who is just vibing on his own. You just gotta make sure the Karens don't take him. Might be a cool addition to have some way to "grab" Snowby and move him around. Thanks for playing it!

Sometimes you gotta punch a Karen to save Christmas and give your kid a Snowby! Thanks for playing it!

The attack does not have any way to tell the player that they are doing anything. The thieves take the money and merchandise without any real way to understand how to stop them. I was able sometimes to get my money back, but mostly they just appeared to run by and I lost.

Overall good start.

Very simple game, it would be fun if we could choose where the package goes instead of it being random.

Unfortunately, the game was not able to run when I tested after the deadline.

Gameplay loop was not bad at all. I noticed if you are on easy mode and defeat more than 100 hobits, your counter no longer increases.

Overall well implemented, and the hitbox works as expected.

After we killed the one demon, there was nowhere else to go. I wandered around for a while and never found another door. We had a large key, and only found a couple small key doors and nothing else. I played for about five more minutes before calling it, so there may be a way through but it was not engaging enough to continue searching.

Thanks for giving it a look!

Good graphics and clear game design. The levels are laid out in a way that makes sense. My only complaint is that the jumping itself is not fun at all. You are not able to jump and press a direction at the same time quite often which leads to frustrating jumps. I'm not sure that voodoo dolls can be classified as a toy either.

Overall good graphics and audio.

Great storyline with cute art. The quicktime minigames were a bit slow but adding the car driving into it made it enjoyable. Depressing thought but the idea of stealing time from yourself mixed with the old toys of childhood was a good spin on the theme and object.

Overall played well and functioned great. Good story and fun game.

Neat start of a game. Movement is a bit slow, no audio at all and a non-solvable game make for a bit of a slow experience. If there were more active enemies and possibly some more than just the one giving me a reason to use the gun it would be a bit more exciting.

Overall, worked well but no end as far as I could tell.

Quick game, but it worked well. Took me a moment to realize that I need to flip the little grates on the ceiling to drop the duck, I thought that I could hit spacebar at any time. Overall worked well and was simple and quick. Audio was an absolute jumpscare when it started.

Good game that fit the theme well.

I don't think this was bad at all! Enjoyable game, and tough with the timeframe of the jam. Nice submission!

Well polished game with a fun gameplay loop. The music is just a touch loud and repetitive. It's tough to balance a tower defense game, and on the second level I had purchased all of the troop slots and just watched myself win for 5 or 6 rounds. Overall fun and polished gameplay that worked very well. I don't know how well thief fits into this, other than the troops are taking your flag which would be soldiers, not really thieves.

Overall fun game with a lot of polish for such a quick jam.

Short and sweet. There appears to be a few camera bugs where i can see through the walls and such, but overall the game worked well. The highlight to show what to pick up was a good touch. I think a larger house with more things to gather, maybe a gather count would be fun. Great submission for such a short time, and very good matching the theme!

This was a neat game with funny voice acting and good movement. First attempt I put the bear under a dresser and stood in the doorway. The other baby couldn't get past me and I won without having to move. The second try I put the bear in the bathroom and it flipped out of bounds so the other baby could not path-find to it and just followed me around.

Overall technically pretty game with funny voice acting (only really good for one playthrough) but not much in the way of a game.

I will never be visiting Linguini's nor Lombato's.

Cute fun game with a couple issues. One, if you lose to the baby you can still move around and collect bears to raise your score. Also if you are moving around and the lose screen times out, you can move around and continue with your existing score. If you happen to be moving while the score screen times out you can end up stuck in the wall as well.

I feel like the baby being faster than you is a bit unfair leading to a fairly quick game once the baby begins chasing. Doesn't give you much time to collect extra bears.

There does not appear to be a win scenario. You just play until he inevitably catches you.

Overall, quick and fun game with a neat art style.

Neat art style with a short gameplay loop. The bullets are very fast, and the movement is very stuttery. It doesn't support multiple inputs so i must stop moving up to move left or right, making it difficult to line up a shot on the deeznutz crackers. Overall fun game that fits the theme well.

I was not able to understand the gameplay myself. After throwing two toys the dog always grabs me and burns me. Neat art style. The audio while being burned is a bit aggressive but overall fits the theme well.

(1 edit)

Not a bad game. Fun little game for 3 minute loop. I feel like maybe the spawn timer is a bit quick for the first few cabinets, leaving you no real reason to travel to the right side for toys. Cute gameplay and it fits the theme well.

Took me a moment to realize you can click to collect blocks. The music is funny at first and then quickly jarring. Not entirely sure what the bars on the right were for either and nothing appeared to change them. I don't know how the theme of thief applies, nor where the "toy" was. The movement being arrow keys while jump was spacebar made it frustrating to move and click; perhaps wasd movement would make this easier overall.

The audio level is insane. Thanks for not making us have to kill the baby.

This was a neat game where the music beats represent spaces. I found it tough to figure out how long I really need to hold the winding key and when to turn, because the starting position didn't appear to match the red arrow. The character looks like it jumps into the scene partway in. Overall fun game and definitely something that more levels and obstacles would be great.

Cute idea, the map seems too small to enjoy it for very long. I also think the monkey cymbal range is too high. I felt like if I get far enough away while getting batteries and such I should be safe from the cymbal smashing.

Enjoyable music and the art style is pretty cool. Overall fun game.

This was very fun. Cute little tyke car with the police light on the top with nerf guns. I liked that the darts stopped and "stuck" in the ground. The phone leading you to the thieves is a neat touch.

I did notice the phone doesn't always point you to the closest thief, which makes it tough to eliminate them quickly. The dart hitting the thieves was a bit tough at times as well, with several missed shots.

Music was enjoyable while playing, and the map is creative.

Overall enjoyed the game a lot, nice job!

Great game! I noticed his legs are the same color as the background sometimes. I would say maybe ramping the speed as you go would be fun. I also found it hard to understand the laser section, since they crossed the entire screen. It took me a moment to realize that the warning symbols would be where the hitbox is for them.

Overall, fun and cute game, especially for a first one ever!

Neat little short story but I didn't feel like the theft was much of the gameplay. There is no reason to go backwards, so it's mostly just holding D until the story ends. Neat execution with good art, but I do not consider this game to be based around the theme of theft. The music and sound effects were also pleasing.

Gameplay was engaging for a short while, and the mechanics worked great. It's a cool idea and would be a fun time killer if it had a bit more variety and difficulty.

I was able to fairly easily get to 100 before I was ready to move on to something else.

It took me a moment to realize that i needed to press spacebar to begin the game and progress through the menus. After that, very short but nice effort.
