I like the level of polish in this game! The presentation was very good. As others have said, it would have been nice to have a more gentle starting difficulty as I wanted to experience of the game, but wasn't able to reach the first upgrade. Nice work on the submission though, and I can see a lot of care went into it!  😄

I really liked the gameplay.  Nice work!  Theres a few submissions with a sword swing like that.  Not seen that anywhere else.  I did collect upgrades but I felt like I lost them all when I died, the speed upgrade is the most noticeable one.  The cooldown is a little tough in the beginning, especially for the amount of spawns.  I found the boss joins from the left of the map, and I can attack him, he doesnt attack until he is in the middle, but had to dodge all the spawns, but was funny to see that.  I didnt like the fence area as it blocked the view of the player.  Boss kept killing me, my only tactic was to upgrade the speed to dodge his bullets

I liked the visuals very much and I enjoyed that you can hit more than one enemies with the sword.

The attack cooldown though is way too much, especially if they need to be hit three times and they blend with each other so you lose or can no longer reach your original target...

I only got once a chance to upgrade but was clicking somewhere and therefore was gone before I knew it. I kept playing and collecting the thingies, but I never got another one.

The middle button to change weapons took so long that I thought it was random to accept the click, and it also changed to the slots having nothing. So I was running around for a long time until it succeeded a full circle and reached the sword again.

Nice game. Didn't find any other weapons, could maybe tweak the gameplay balance a bit but overall a very cool game.

Love that you managed to get an upgrade system in and working! A lot of fun, I loved the challenge of the early hoard personally

That was fun! No idea how I'm supposed to beat the boss though lol

BTW, in the controls popup at the start of gameplay telling the player to use WASD, I'm seeing a second W instead of a D

After playing the game i have a few suggestions:

1. While you present the controls, the game already started. You can see the timer going at the top, so you can come back and die even before pressing K to accept.

2. Usually in games with this kind of bar selection for items scrolling down on the mouse wheel makes it go to the next item, not the previous one (it is inverted from the standard).

3. A minimap could help collecting the xp that you may have left over at the ground, and if not, for it to get towards you faster/from a bigger range (maybe this last part as a upgrade?)

4. The boss I've found it and fought it, but all of a sudden started to spam wide area attacks (it changed the attack it was doing to a wider one with a lot more projectiles), and to say that you have to thread the needle there is quite the understatement, as sometimes i wasn't hit (didn't look like it at least) but still received damage. Maybe a text ingame that tells players to go find the boss when no enemies are left could help as well.

5. The fire rod has a small issue, if you equip it and go to the top wall of the map until colliding with it and you try to shoot the fire, it will disappear as soon as you shot it because it collides on spawn with the wall. 

6. Lack of sound effects, this could have a huge impact on how the game feels and plays out, please consider adding some if you intend to update/continue the game, unless it was a design choice.

All of those are minor things that all they would need is some adjusting, and this doesn't mean in any way that the game is bad, I hope this helps ;)

Thank you for your comment and feedback. I will try to answer your points as best as possible:

1. The spawn of the enemies is live 10-15 sec after you start the game we considerate than you have enough time to read the Gameplay tutorial , but maybe we wrong. But that was a desing choise not a bug.

2. We will implement hotkeys 1-3 to switch weapons, so you will have the choice to swap with either the scroll wheel or the number keys

3. We chose not to implement a minimap because we thought it would take up too much space and the players might lose visibility. But maybe it's a good idea; we will see.

4. For this, we are going to implement a kind of cursor or something like that to indicate where the boss spawns. Also, we want to change the music at that time to something darker. We'll see how it goes.

5. We will review all the collisions after the GameJam.

6. About the SFX, we were very concerned about it but had no time to include it. We managed other bugs, and we simply ran out of time. We literally submitted the game 1 minute and 40 seconds before the deadline, hahaha, that was close. But we will include it for sure. As for "update continuing the game," you keep all your weapon upgrades even if you die; the only thing that resets is boot speed.

About the minimap part don't worry too much about it, i can see the game working without it, the suggestion was more towards having something that assists the player picking up leftover XP orbs and/or items when no enemies are left. 

Don't worry, i understand and the part about SFX was just general advice (and something i wish you'd consider adding), best of luck with the project :)

excellent game, is there no sfx for weapon attack and damage etc? or the browser version bugged? Love the title screen and its music.

Kept getting my arse kicked, I think the animations felt a bit too slow early on, can see a lot of work in this though so appreciate the effort.

Like the music and the adventure. The hoard is unmanageable. I was able to cheat by dashing up on to the north wall and shooting arrows down on the enemies while scurrying from right to left. I too thought the rust to the south was just a wall until I read the post below.

Excellent roguelike game, great job! I understand the cooldowns are supposed to be slower at the beginning, but its SO slow, it feels a bit too frustrating imo.

Loved the art and the style with the flying sword and the enemy variety. 
I felt that the fighting is a bit unbalanced, it's sort of too difficult and the attacks are too slow? I felt that if it was more fast-paced it could make that small change that would make the experience from good to amazing.

Really cool game, but the balance between the weapons seems a bit off. With the sword I couldn't survive longer than a minute, with bow I could keep kiting forever. Maybe add a shield to the sword, that you take less damage while in melee? Sadly it bugged out after 4 minutes and no more enemies were spawning (kept running around the map for 2 more minutes). I think it happend after the second upgrade?
