Thank you very much! The drawn art was definitely was definitely out of my comfort zone. At first I thought it a little silly, but I later leaned into it trusting the process.

Damn this is a good one! I would strongly recommend polishing this one up. I had a lot of fun with the movement and the enemies gave me the heebie jeebies haha. it was a little confusing at first since I didn't realize the tracked items were the goal but that's just skill issues, in no time I was flying around enjoying the game.
When you're in the higher upgrade tiers it would be cool to have a larger enemy that you need speed to avoid, larger scales and all that. I would like to be able to maintain momentum when landing if I jump at the right time, like bunny hopping.
However this is a game jam game and a damn good one.
I love the art style, and I could see the music puzzles being pretty interesting, however I would really like a way to repeat the messages, but I saw that someone else already mentioned it haha.
Just mentioning a bug since other people may not encounter it, I believe the game is rendering based on pixel count, so on bigger screens the scaling is a bit off. Either way great work!
Nice work! I feel some balance changes could really shape up this game, but I feel like most of what you need is already there.
Game jams are hard, but if you're interested here's some things I noticed. The text in the beginning has important tutorial text / lore drop, it would be nice to have some time to read it before the round starts. Sound effects would reaaally take this game up a notch. These types of games tend to value how satisfying progress is, so having nice sounds when leveling up / landing spells would help. Also, I wish I couldve seen the other enemies, but I saw from another comment that they spawn after 15 minutes, but again thats a balancing thing.
Thank you so much for trying it out, and I really appreciate the compliments. I've also noted from another commenter that the last section could use some work haha.

*spoilers/solution to final area*
If you do wish to give it another shot, you can use the "=" key to skip sections of the overworld until you reach the area you stopped at.
If you're having trouble with the "eyes" , I think they have a tendency to clip through terrain. I would hug the left wall and look back and forth at the two eye enemies. They only move towards you when they're out of sight, and will stop following once you're out of range.
Thank you for giving it a shot! I see how the final section can be frustrating. Either way I appreciate your time <3
