i love this game !!! hope there will be more updates .

Wow I had way too much fun messing around with this game. It was a little hard at first to get used to some of the movement but especially once I found out how to abuse the hook it became very fun to navigate the map. I don't usually play horror-type games, but I can say that the atmosphere and sounds ended up getting to me more than I expected them to. Could definitely use a little tweaking (having the settings reset every run is one of those things) but I had a lot of fun anyways, nice work!

Feels really good to play but I am not fan of spooks
Good job tho!

Very addicting parkour mechanics make for some interesting movement tech, well done!

I managed to become so fast that I accidentally flew straight into an enemy. Still not sure what the "F" gauge does.

I love the parkour mechanics, the game is also very scary. Good job!

As much as I don't like parkour type games, this one was really entertaining! Although not sure whether being chased constantly is good thing. Good work.

This is really well put together! I ran into one of those face creatures and instantly quit. 10/10 no sleep.

Submitted(+1)

Felt great to play especially when you start getting too many upgrades and are basically flying through the level. Nice work!

Submitted(+1)

Very fun, very addictive, and i absolutely hate the sounds the "face things" make (In a good way), simply put, the game has a lot of potential if you decide to continue working on it.

You only ever realize how slow you truly were, only after you have accidentally flown into a flying face.

Very nice work!

The infinite wall jump bug is also very fun

Developer

Thank you very much for your feedback. I will work a little more on it.

If by infinite wall jump you mean using the hook and waiting for the cooldown, I made it that way to not take freedom of going up, because its slow enough to not be broken ;)

(+1)

Infinite wall jump bug is kinda hard to reproduce, but if you fiddle with the wall a bit by repeatedly jumping up and hooking/unhooking, you can make the green circle stay permanently green and jump up to the top.

Submitted(+1)

I did actually manage to find a easy way to reproduce it.

1 - Go up against a wall

2 - Look up

3 - Shoot hook

4 - wait a couple ms (basically let the sound effect play halfway)

6 - release hook

7 - spam jump

And as long as you're still right next to the wall you can move around and go up. (For example you can fully turn around)

As simple as that!

Very cool game!  The movement system was slick and the world was atmospheric.  The dynamic audio really did wonders.  Could probably do with being more difficult, the only times I died were because I stopped paying attention rather than a need to improve, even before upgrades.

The flight seemed pretty irrelevant compared to the other upgrades, it just started so much slower and the flight orbs weren't common enough to be worth choosing them.  I also think the + bonus to particular upgrade options was pretty unbalanced, it was always choose whichever had the most plus signs (other the the aforementioned flight), so the only choices were when there were no bonuses or equal bonuses between several options.

Overall though I really enjoyed it, you did an excellent job!

Developer

thanks for playing! Yes, its very unbalanced lol. I didnt have too much time to do more level design and to balance out the upgrades, and by the end, if you get a lot of speed and jumps, it gets borderline impossible to walk normally lol. Once the jam is over, I will say what is the secret cheat code, so ppl can spend 99999 points and get crazy lol

(+1)

Can you add immortality cheat? Would be fun to just zoom around without flying into a face. I've never played a game like this, it's like quake or half-life speedrunners.

Submitted(+1)

Very compelling game loop, things got pretty intense after 30-40 upgrades (sprinted directly into a face that spawned and almost shat myself). Progression centers around improving your locomotion, perfectly feeds into that "one more upgrade" urge to see how fast you can go. Huge potential here.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I got some plans for this project, so it will be more balanced and cool

Submitted(+1)

Played for around half an hour, and would've played more if didn't get caught by a mistake.

I agree with people saying it's addicting, you did a great job designing the gameplay

Developer

thank you so much!

Damn this is a good one! I would strongly recommend polishing this one up. I had a lot of fun with the movement and the enemies gave me the heebie jeebies haha. it was a little confusing at first since I didn't realize the tracked items were the goal but that's just skill issues, in no time I was flying around enjoying the game.

When you're in the higher upgrade tiers it would be cool to have a larger enemy that you need speed to avoid, larger scales and all that. I would like to be able to maintain momentum when landing if I jump at the right time, like bunny hopping.

However this is a game jam game and a damn good one.

Developer

Thanks! I will polish it more for a post-jam update so its better to understand the goal and everything; and also add harder enemies and more movements like you mentioned.

This is actually a fun game and I ended up playing for around an hour. Definitely my favourite one of the jam so far.

This has lots of potential to be a full game. The balance just needs a little work as you can become too overpowered at your own detriment and I didn't find the need to use the fly powerup. I was also able to reroll the upgrades any time on my first run, which I didn't realize was a bug until my second run.

Also, in response to one of your replies below, as far as I know the games didn't have to be Neuro related (at least there's no reference to that on the rules page), only the Lost and Found theme.

Developer

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'm glad you liked it. I actually didnt expect people to play for more than 30 minutes lol This makes me happy

Submitted(+1)

This is an amazing game, when the chase music kicks in on my first run, I legit got goose bumps.

The parkour is pretty solid. Not sure if enemies also get more powerful as player grew stronger, but the music and sound effects help carry that intensity in the late game.

I got killed with a face seemingly out of nowhere in the late game, probably because I was going too fast.

Overall, impressive work! Didn't expect horror in this Jam

Developer

Thank you. I didnt have too much time to balance everything, but I did make them faster after you spent enough points, but thats it. Needs more work. And yeah, probably you died to a flying face you didn't see, how unlucky lol

Submitted(+1)

I ended up playing for over an hour. Really addictive gameplay!! I love how at the beginning you are scared and go out your little corner with fear, and after a few upgrades there's no way they can touch you. Really rewarding. Towards the end of my playthrough I found out I could refresh the upgrade page as many times as I wanted by walking onto the deliver platform. This allowed me to seek for the +++ upgrades and only purchase those.

Developer

Hmmmmm that sounds like a bug T_T but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I made this game thinking about the feeling of being able to fly around. I think I will add more vfx to show how fast the player is going, so its even more satisfying

Submitted(+1)

A parkour horror game, it's really scary, i didn't fully understand the controls first run but the second time was really fun with addictive gameplay, (i didn't know i had to accept orders on the computer too), after achieving infinite wall jumps it became really easy but still enjoyable, the game runs pretty well, very good optimization.
Bugs: If you pause when air dashing it won't actually stop your horizontal movement but it will slow a little until it stops.
If you pause while looking at the computer the cursor will disappear.
The pause button doesn't pause the entities and they can and will kill you even if you stop time.
Awesome work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't make the pause stop the time. I should have adressed that somewhere. I will fix these issues in a post-jam update

Dude, this is so cool, parkour is so fluid, please make this into a steam game or something. It's too good to simply die in a gamejam.

Idk how it's related to neuro but it's a cool game. Do these flying faces get faster with more upgrades? After I became broken fast I went to the upper level and was immediately caught.

Also I hate (in a good way) how spooky the faces are, legit couldn't play more because of it.

I also haven't found the cheat codes, even if I figure out your twitch name from that "do and don't" poster, there's no way to find the correct vedal stream and check comment history of a random chatter.

Developer

Thanks! I won't let it die.

I didn't know the game needed to be related to neuro e.e

Damn, so am I that ugly?? lol jk

Submitted(+1)

Oh wow, not a game I expected, but definitely a welcome one! The movement is very satisfying, I feel like I could just fly around for ages.

I'm going to be honest, the face entity scares me sh**tless, and it's even better since it induces that "something is behind me and IT CAN CATCH UP" feeling in a human.

Haven't played further than that, but I know it's going to be a good scare and a fun experience once I come back to this.

Submitted(+1)

Quite fun, one of the games that I may actually revisit after jam.

The controls are inobvoius, even after checking the provided controls info.

I didn't figure out what the 3rd bar is for

Developer(+1)

Its the "Fly" timer, its used when you interact with the pink bubbles in the map. I didnt have time to explain more about those, thats my bad. I'm glad u liked it!
