Really enjoyed this! Really cool art style and overall vibe, and the mechanics are well thought out. Feels very complete as well for what I feel it was meant to be.
The slingshot movement (while inconsequential to the overall game) feels like a fun replacement for moving around the map in an RPG. Don't see it working long term without some more impact on gameplay but it's fun for this short experience without feeling gimmicky.
Some solid fundamentals, felt fleshed-out, and I dug the music in particular. I think the combat needed a bit more feedback, sound effects and/or VFX to indicate hits, I'd also suggest that the results of the rolls execute automatically instead of requiring the player to hit "Attack" again afterwards. I also quite liked all the custom artwork and monster designs. Nice work!
Very cute and original graphics, the music is nice as well !
The gameplay is interesting and allows for tactical choices, which is great !
My only nitpick would be that the "hitbox" for buttons, upgrades and the main character are not exactly centered, making it easy to misclick sometimes.
The graphics are cool ! I love the idea of moving by rolling even though it's a little junky.
Customizing the dice is a very nice touch !
Cool graphics and nice idea ! It felt very complete :)
Hm, got stuck after the first fight... Graphics look great, though! And the chill music fits the aesthetic. For battle itself, there were couple things I noticed. First, player's health and armor were slightly faded into dark, blurring your attention from vital information. And second, the continuous "Fight" scroll appearing was kinda distracting. I would understand the first time, but for each turn? Maybe an over kill.
I would also want to point out the scaling for browser, if player doesn't want to play full screen. Now the frame hides part of the game.
Well done!
Your art is AMAZING. I wish you would've animated your game assets!
I really enjoyed how the game looked and the fighting mechanics were nice too, what I really disliked though was the way of movement. It's a nice idea to drag and roll the dice, but on the other hand, some dice rolling animation and WASD would've done the job too. Maybe If the drag and drop wouldn't feel so gooey it would work better!
Overall, enjoyed it!
PS: If you ever plan to make more content or work on the game to polish it further I would definitely play it again! Love the Don't Starve illustrations so much and that's something you don't see every day!
Amazing! Super unique vibe with Don't Starve style art? Really bring a sense of danger, and the gameplay is tight. I'd love a full version. I'd only request a healing die for a longer game.
The art, gameplay, and concept are all brilliant! I would really like see a full version of this. Outstanding work!
Nice art, interesting Mechanics and a weird choise of movement.
Nice game overall.
Really pretty game with very engaging gameplay. I replayed it twice. I really like the dice customization for combat, as well as the exploration. The art direction here was really well done and the whole game presented super clearly and was instantly very playable. My only bit of feedback is i think some sort of indication of the enemy attacking the player character would be good, but given that it was a jam entry that might have been to much given the time constraint. all in all a great playing experience.
Definitely like the strategic wrinkle of customizing the abilities on each side of your dice and trying to replicate the feeling of actually rolling a die through an environment. Controls take a bit to get used to but not a major friction point. Art style is very charming and one of the most unique and aesthetically pleasing ones I've seen. Kept me playing for longer than I anticipated. Great job!
Gorgeous art and style, loved the gameplay a ton too! Great submission!
Beautiful game and I love the mechanics, simple and fun
Fantastic art and nice work integrating the theme into the player movement! Upgrading dice is always fun but the combat was a little simplistic. Great job!
I love the visuals and mechanics, great job!
Really cool game, the art and the music is amazing, I really liked the movement system, really fits the theme of the jam
Really good game, I like the idea and concept. I'd liked exploring and progressively getting stronger. nice work
