Fun use of theme. I think you might want to change the font to be more readable and make the clickable words look like buttons. I like the art a lot. See the little guy run and bounce around is entertaining. Great job.
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the UI could use some improvement (make the buttons more obvious, and add a minimap), we'll try to do an update after the jam. Thanks for the compliment regarding the art, we didn't have time to do all that we wanted, but we're proud of what's there :D
I am sorry to ask, but it seems that I do not understand something... I can't start the game in my browser. I click "Play", the music starts to play and... I can't do anything. There is just a logo of the game and no buttons.
How do you start the game exactly? Maybe I m missing something here
Yes, there seems to be a bit of a bug regarding this. Pressing any button (on the keyboard) should start the game, but you need to click on the screen with the mouse first. Hope that helps (if you have more problems, please let us know).
Really cool game and a really unique, interesting mechanic. More levels would be nice but would have been difficult to do within the short 48 hour time. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, we'll try to add some levels after the jam is done, and incorporate some more feedback ;)
Coool game!! I really like the idea. Wished there was a way to se the map while I'm selecting the properties. Great work!!
Nice simple game
Thanks!
A very unique game. Kind of reminds me of lemmings mixed with an idle game.
Thanks for playing. Yes, the fact that you can't control the character after you start your run is indeed a bit lemming-y ;)
Very interesting concept! I think showing the starting positions on the level would be a lot more convenient for the player, especially on the early runs. Also I would practically never go for low speed, because it just mean that I will have to wait for the grandpa way longer.
Other then that - good job! It was really fun to experiment with different stat combinations, and I can see how the idea can be expanded further.
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, a minimap would definitely be helpful, as well as adjusting the stat-range a bit (as of right now, the only good thing about slow speed is that you get time to have a good look at the map :P)
This is a nice simple game with some good mechanics and different dice rolling mechanics!
Thanks for playing
Pretty fun to see an half-naked grandpa running to get some clothes.
Gotta get those clothes! Otherwise you might look a bit... dicey!
Everything that you need to know is already in the title.
Has a classic feel to it, quite intense and things are decided with a flip of a coin, randomly.
(a bit frustrating but really fun to experiment with)
Congrats on finishing the jam !
Thanks! We wanted to make it a bit more tactical and a bit less random through level-design, but ran out of time :P
It took me some time to realize that the menu was not a tutorial screen and I could interact with it.
I think the UI needs work.
The artstyle is cool and the theme is fun.
Thanks for playing! Yes, we can definitely improve the UI some more to make it a bit more intuitive, and maybe add a short tutorial. We'll try and get around to that after the jam.
I feel like the game is a bit trial and error and the UI could use some work, but it is a fun and unique concept!
Thanks for playing. Yes, the UI could definitely use some work, and some balancing and level-design could help make the runs a bit more skill-based. We'll try to get on that after the jam ;)
Cool concept and implementation!
Thanks, and thanks for playing!
This was a really interesting and unique concept, had lot's of fun trying to get all the clothes!
Thanks!
More of this, please.
This game is proof that if you only ever ask people what they'd like to see in a game, you'll never make something truly interesting. If you asked me what kind of game I'd like to play, I never would have said "old folks home escape simulator with a focus on optimization and a Coen bros pun on top", but here it is and I love it.
Thanks a lot! We'll try to polish it up a bit more and make a final release sometime after the jam ;)
Interesting take on the theme, I wish I could tab back and forth to see how the level is laid out before I lock in my rolls. But overall a great game, well done!
Indeed, we wanted to have a mini-map in the selection screen but run out of time :P Thanks for playing!
The concept is unique from the other games I've played today. It was fun to play for a little while, good work!
Thanks!
Nice game, besides some soft locks i managed to get myself into, its a good and enjoyable game. Even the softlock moments xD
Thanks! Ideally we would have designed the level to avoid those, but not sure if that was possible with random stat combination without making the level really boring :D
I really enjoy this type of games where the game plays for you, and this was an interesting concept. I would love to be able to see the map and plan a bit better, as it felt like pretty much just guesses on which rolls to use. Still addictive, but only got to complete it in 8 runs at best.
Great game, good job!
Thanks for playing! Yes, a minimap in the planning screen would add a lot, but we ended up running out of time :P
PS: 8 is the best score we've heard of so far ;)
Wow! the concept is so original that I don't even know how describe it! I've never ever seen anything like that before. Nice job!
Haha, thanks, although i'm not sure if that's good or bad :P
