Nieces & Nephews it's your Uncle Indie here! I play indie games on YouTube.

I'm here on itch to give you talented developers some exposure through my let's play channel.

I have a new segment on my channel called the 'itch.io vault' where I do let's plays and collection gameplays of the games I find here on itch. You can find the playlist (so far) here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwyY5WaoAkBsi6WhfhaynmbN2gYtPrCbu

I'm always looking for new games to play - so let me know about your game! You can comment on this post, comment on any itch vault video on my channel, or get in touch via Twitter (where I am most active): https://twitter.com/UncleIndie

You can check out my itch profile where you can find all the links to the games I've played so far: https://uncleindie.itch.io/

I don't just play itch indie games, but other indies I find on Steam & Nintendo Switch... These can all be found on my channel if you are interested in this type of thing.

Thanks for welcoming me to the itch.io community, and I'm super excited to play more of your games!

I recommend you try the two Chuhou Joutai games:

These look interesting! Thank you for the recommendations!

Check out my side scrolling beat em up game with digitized characters just like old school Mortal Kombat. The game is like a Sci fi, schlocky B movie and has lots of gore, comedy and some nudity. Bad ass babes by Thatcher Productions (itch.io)

(+2)

This looks great! This style of game art really takes me back. I'll be giving this one a go for sure!

Hey there Uncle! I've got a challenging demo for a shooter where you control two ships at the same time and gotta keep them both alive, meanwhile all weapons and upgrades are cards and there are roguelite elements because it's an indie game so of course there are.

It's called THE FALCON SHUFFLE and you can check it out here!

Hey Rob! I have your game on my list from when you replied to my message on Twitter! Keep your eyes peeled on my channel.

Ooo consider my eyes peeled! (that sounds painful actually but you know what I mean...)

Hey Uncle Indie! We loved the video you made of our first game Antecrypt! We'd sure love to have you make a video of our new game Metavaxx as well, it's a Minesweeper-Shooter hybrid where you're tasked to develop the ultimate vaccin! Trailer for that is below, I've sent you a review key over on Twitter. ;)

(+2)

PUNKCAKE! I enjoyed Antecrypt so much! Really looking forward to Metavaxx!

Hello Uncle!

It would be great if you could take a look at my most recent demo for Dawn of the Director! It's a game where you make films by tricking campers into staying at your custom built campground. There's a career mode and a sandbox mode with the possibility of unlimited money and all buildings / props unlocked. Thanks a bunch!

The concept for this game is so original! Plus it looks hilarious! I'll be giving this one a go for sure.

It's a comedy RPG with earthbound style battles and Zelda style puzzles!

Thanks for playing our games friend!  :)

The name of this game alone makes me want to play it! Added to my list!

It's about sorting, but not the usual kind. You're not just given a list of things to sort. Instead, you're given a dungeon to explore and the treasures you find is the sorted order. It's about finding a topological sort in a directed acyclic graph. You can learn more about it in MIT 6.042, which is where I first learned about this concept.

Hi i have a game you might be interested in! https://ellisjames20061.itch.io/tri-again

Play as a triangle who must navigate 5 unforgiving levels and defend yourself against evil red shapes out to torment you. There are a variety of enemies all requiring skill to kill. Kill as many as you can and reach the yellow portal without getting yourself killed.

There is also a 10 wave mode for those who are up for the challenge...

This looks cool! Reminds me of geometry wars! I'll give it a look!

Thankyou!

So glad to see you here at itch.io :)

Have a look at my game : https://aspicprod.itch.io/modnar

Enjoy your itch game collection and see you next time.

Hi!

Our game Devs have made significant updates to our game.

Have a look and lets us know what you think?  Riff Raff Studios (riff-raff-studios.netlify.app)

A little context: we are a group of university students that were tasked with creating a game with a 13 week deadline. Together we created Kevin's adventure.

Thank you!

This looks really cool. I'm going to drop this into the 'Indie Game Collective' as I think there will be some content creators on there that this will really suit!

If you like simple fun space shooters and also Pico-8, you could try my game Solar Blaster: Challenge Stage

You've got 2 minutes to destroy everything that moves and get the high score! It's classic old-style arcade fun, perfect for when you want some quick-burst shooter action. You can play it in your browser or download for free on Windows, Mac, Linux and Raspberry Pi.

For those of you who are interested. Here is volume 1 of the itch.io vault! Looking for games to play in volume 2! Production etc will improve the more I do it 😂

Hi there! Feel free to check out my point-and-click adventure, The Road to Draksten. I have three chapters out currently and I'd love to know your thoughts on it. Have a nice day!

Hi there.

Denpa Star is a simple vertical shooter, I hope you will enjoy it. Fast reflexes and thinking would be greatly beneficial.

However, if you like a slower more intellectual game, I present to you my little take on Bulls and Cows called Foxes and Cows.

Foxes and Cows

Screenshot of the game Foxes and Cows

This turn based game gives you all the time in the world to ponder your next move, but you better make it good as your opponent plays to win. Yeah that's the twist, it's played as a two player game against the AI.

Hey there! Hack FPS 1.4 has just been released, adding a variety of features and fixing a load of bugs! In case you don't know, Hack FPS is a first-person shooter (obviously) where your only objective is to get to the end of the level by hacking enemies and taking their abilities. The game is free to play on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and features three game modes, 30 levels, and a map creator to make your own custom levels.

Play it here.

Learn more about the update here.

If you like maze games, you should check out mine.  It's called Icy Maze, has to do with collecting raindrops and there's a different layout each level.  Also, if you run into the enemies it's Game Over.  There is a retry, though, that restarts the level.  Also, the game is available in the browser and as a download.  If you're interested in playing it, and need a download key, let me know.

Hey! I've been working on Beneath the Mountain for the last 7 months, and I'm at the point where I could really use some feedback on how it plays and feels. I don't know if its your kind of game, but if it is, I'd appreciate your feedback! Let me give you the short pitch:

You play as the king of a new clan of dwarfs, looking to build their kingdom under the mountain. You dig your way through the mountain, expanding as you go. Sometimes you'll break into caves and have to fight evil creatures. In addition, every once in a while, orc armies will try to invade your kingdom and kill your king.

Thanks (and I've followed you on twitter btw!)

Hi there, Uncle Indie!

Wishing you awesome success with your YouTube channel! Spreading the word of some of the passed over or "weird" indies is definitely a worthy cause. Though I could be a bit biased,. ;)

I'll be honest, our sci-fi pixel puzzler might be a tough one to capture as exciting in a video, but I would be bad at what I do if I didn't reach out and say, "Hey! Don't ya know, I have a weird sequence finding puzzler you should try!"
