Very aesthetic game! Would have liked from more sound effects for like eating the pumpkins and maybe interacting with the scenery/ people other than that it was a great little autumn experience :)
Agreed we would have too! Originally there was a chomp sound and animation and also dialogue/more interactions with the people but as the deadline came up we sadly had to cut them. Thank you so much for the compliments and playing our game :)
Very cute premise and the art fit the aesthetic perfectly! The music was also really well suited to this game, and it felt really fun to run around and look at the various people. Simple game premise, but the fact that there were 10 pumpkins to search for made me explore every inch of this well drawn map. Cheers!

I so badly wanted to climb a tree and jump up onto the inaccessible rooftops though :P But I understand it is a game jam and there is only so much you can manage to implement under such a limited time. I would have loved to hear the chomp sound effect and seen the animation. I'm sure they would have been great :)

i just wanted to keep exploring the world, it was so charming and magical and cozy. feels like childhood, minus the whole getting chased by dogs part :^) u both did a wonderful job

Loved the art and each of the distinct characters. It would be cool to be able to explore more of the town, I love the idea of playing as a squirrel and exploring a compact but detailed hand-drawn environment like this.

For some reason this reminded me of adventure games from the 90s, where I'd spend forever looking for that last thing I needed to move on. In this case it was a pumpkin that wasn't easily noticed. The dog also got me a few times. Art style is definitely on point, game play is short and sweet. Good job!

I would scale down the game window so I could see the whole window, also instructions at the begining are nice to add.

Thank you so much for the compliments! I've been trying since we've posted to get it to where the window is smaller but still shows the whole game without cutting things off but for the life of me can't figure it out @_@ this is our first game in Unity so it's been a bit of a learning curve!
Update: Got it working in a smaller window on the page! Thank you for bearing with the technical issues and playing it with the oversized window before!
