Nice character design and very good implementation of the map to be able to explore around. Very interesting entry.

This was a fun game! The water movement felt really nice, and I enjoyed the art quite a bit. The swimming animations was SUPER realistic, I couldn't believe it was pixel art. I liked how the camera could pan a little bit ahead in the direction your mouse was pointing too, to look ahead for danger. I enjoyed just swimming around looking for the armor pieces and upgrades quite a lot.
But I felt like the harpoon was inconsistent. Sometimes it would launch out and stick, and sometimes it would instantly retract before leaving the character sprite. I had to kind of cheese the flashlight area by swimming around and luring the big fish into the open area because I couldn't do it the right way. As soon as I got the gun, my enjoyment level skyrocketed. Especially once I learned that bullets (like fish) can go through walls.
The angler fish boss was a really fun fight as well once I understood that the light that rotates around hurts you (and also that I could just hold the fire button instead of mashing it). I thought it was a really smart mechanic to have the player regain health by doing damage, it actually encouraged me to get into fights throughout the game.
Great work!
I love the movement and camera work. The graphics reminds me and made me really nostalgic for the flash game era.
the game vibe is giving me mixed feelings, in the start I was expecting something horror oriented, by the 2d assets I immediatly thought about Carrion (the game) and one game about going deeper in a cave I forgot the name of ... but them came a very energetic music and tall jumps on game mechanics
liked the gameplay, the animations of the player are really cool,
I invite you to play my game and give me some feedback as well ^^
Really cool! The player animations are really smooth. To be honest, the gameplay was a bit lacking. In combat, the grappling hook being your weapon is good in theory, but here it just pulls you towards enemies causing you to get damaged. The best strategy is to avoid combat altogether though, as dying can be very punishing and the enemies are very slow and have no pathfinding. If you must fight, the best way to do so is spamming left click which probably isn't ideal. Also, wandering the map aimlessly for most of the gameplay was not really fun. The level design also meant you not only didn't know where to go but ended up following whole routes ending in dead ends. Having a minimap would pretty much fix this entire issue and make the game much more fun. The transitions between music was really jarring too. Controlling the character felt good though, and the movement was really smooth. Well done!

Very cool game! I really liked the art and animations, and thought the gameplay was fun also. Nice job!
Fast paced action. Lots of fun to swim around, but some dangers are hard to notice in time.
