This game is really cute. I was wondering if there was a way to control the direction of the tornado? During the tutorial it kept going the wrong way. But in the actual level it went the right way. Otherwise I think that I just wasn't in the right spot when I was pressing control.
Side note: I think the cover art should match the game a little more. I felt a bit mislead lol.
Thanks for your feedback! It's odd, the tornado should fire in the way the character is looking. I'll have a look.
Fair enough about the icon ;)
great little platformer game! the tornado ability is a interesting mechanic and I felt like it was a nice mix of puzzle and platformer⭐
Thanks for your feedback!
Fun little entry. I can see you expend on ability and level to a complete game . Love the fact that with limited water its could be a puzzle game to !:)
Thanks! That's what I was going for with the water! It got a mixed reception so I'll need to rework/polish this mechanic. Ideally, I'd love to make this into more of a puzzle platformer.
Game looks polished. If you add a story, some variations, levels, basically, you already can call it complete. Jump on W and shoot on Space was very confusing at first, I would reserve Space for jumping like in the majority of games with jumping characters. I don't even know what key will be better for the regular shoot, maybe Ctrl. Interacting with a fountain on E or F, the special attacks on Q or numbered keys. At least I assume that will appeal to a wider audience
Thanks for the detailed feedback! I'll definitely rework the controls and keep building the game :D
Fun little platformer, I don't have much for detailed critiques or suggestions because the game wasn't too long.
This was a fun idea based on the concept! I got stuck and had to jump into a pit to reset after running out of water, but made it through on the second try. Good job overall!
Fun game! You should add a death animation, and a mechanism to don't get stuck if you run out of water. But its a good concept. you can play my game if you want: https://itch.io/jam/-pixel-game-jam-2024/rate/2718966
Will do! Thanks for the feedback. The water is purposefully limited to add some difficulty. As others have also mentioned this issue, I'll rework this behavior.
Fun game, I think the water fountains should auto replenish and I agree that jump would feel better on space. Also feel like you should go straight to level 2 when finishing level 1 and not back to menu. The tornado was really well done and worked nicely with good physics, some nice retro sounds as well. Congratulations
Thanks, yeah I'll revamp the controls! I wanted to have an overworld which is why the player doesn't immediately go to level 2 but I didn't have time.
Nice game design and concept. It has potential to become a nice cozy puzzle platform game. I'm not a big fun of W (or up) for jumping, I would recommend to use Space instead.
Thanks for the feedback, I was running out of keys :D ! My plan is to keep adding obstacles to make the game more of a puzzle.
This is a cute game with lovely music! I really enjoyed the enemy death animations and the way their weapons drop – very satisfying. The only downsides were the timer, and that the water fountains didn’t always replenish.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll look at adding more water and ways to use it.
Pretty game with snappy controls and great concept! Nice music and sound effects too.
Cute little game!
the multilingual o pun got me laughing.
also it would be interesing to add more ways for the wizard to use water.
Hehe Thanks for the feedback. I ran out of time but I'd love to add new ways to use the water and lean more into the puzzle aspect.
Cool gameplay! Cute graphics :D
Thanks!
