I really liked this game! It's really polished (loved the UI and the transition effect!) and I love how we're controlling a flying croissant. I personally only found two things to criticise: It was sometimes a bit hard to tell what the enemy was supposed to be.

For example, I genuinely have no idea what that's supposed to be:

But honestly, that's not really a big problem, and my own game has graphics way worse than that. xD
And then, of course, the game didn't *really* have something to do with towers... I mean, sure, the tower in the background looks nice, but it is at the end just a background. But honestly, these are small issues and it doesn't really matter at all. Good job!

I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVED. IT.

The artstyle was on point, the background in its semplicity it was perfect. The bullet hell mechanics are really good and not too difficult neither too easy. I played it for like 30 mins and still couldn't reach the end, my highscore was 25400. I think I'll keep playing it in the spare time to see what's at the end of it.

Out of curiosity, the Eiffel tower is a 3D model right? Are you using a Viewport with a CompositorEffect for the dithering? Is the dithering pattern a custom one? Because I saw also use dithering for my project and have experimented unique patterns and I think I already saw it, lol.

Hey thanks for playing. Glad to hear you enjoyed the game :)
The Tower is actually not a real-time effect, it was achieved by creating rendered frames of a 3D model spinning, then throwing layer upon layer of effects and correction onto them. This way it was both quick to get the look we needed and creates the choppy animation style!

Ohh I see, clever solution!

Really fun game overall. It sounded great and looked great as well, especially the tower effect. Interesting how only having up to 3 shots at a time encourages you to play up close and riskier.

I love the rotating background effect, I think it looks great but there might need to be more contrast between that background and the foreground gameplay elements.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah the foreground object could have stood out a bit better, thanks for the feedback ๐Ÿ‘
