The music started out nice but felt a bit too enthusiastic and lively for a game where u compare 2 words or numbers.
But ofc, such a cool twist on the iconic papers please game! My favorite part is definitely using the horn / megaphone before they reach the line and seeing the guy frantically cut it XD
Really good presentation, looks really professional. I found some minor issues in gameplay. Somehow i managed to move a present outside the camera view, couldn't reach it afther that had to restart the game. Also the text from the P.violations overlays one on top of another (I've got so many of them). Regardless of that, nice game and only in 3 days, you guys are really good.
Oh yeah, that wasn’t supposed to happen in a normal build. But we didn’t test it on the web build, where you can move your mouse "out" of the game screen. Thanks for letting us know! We’ll consider it for our next game. ^^
Really good game, a bit confusing at times due to the lack of tutorial, but still impressive for a 3 day challenge!
the jam was a week?
yes, but in the desc it says the dev wanted to only use three days
oh wow, that's insane
Yeah, it's not that we planned to use only three days, but we had a busy week. We spent the beginning of it brainstorming a cool idea, and by the time we could start, we only had three days left. Still, I'm really glad you guys liked the final result as much as I did! Thanks for playing! ^^
Nice with smooth movement and animation, and very good looking in a 1-bit style! The gameplay is initially confusing to those like me who haven't actually played Papers, Please, but after 3 violations I figured out what I was doing. I like the idea of this concept for Christmas presents, Santa's Customs Office. Music was cool but almost too climactic that it kept freaking me out thinking I was about to lose.
Thank you very much for the comment, I'm glad you liked it, it's true that the game can be confusing, especially if you haven't played Papers, please, next time I'm sure we'll think about the tutorial first. ☺️
Insane that this was made in such a short amount of time! A fun twist on the Papers, Please formula.
I had no idea what I was doing but the art was fun and I was surprised to see you managed to squeeze all of that into a one week jam. Good job!
Yeah, a little tutorial would have been great! But still, thank you for giving it a try and for playing!
cool
Good job, very cool game not much to say.
Thank you 😊
Very well done, and very cool scanner mechanic! Saw a very minor bug with the text of the ticket overlapping with a previous ticket, but thats more of a nitpick. Great job!
Oh, I just saw it hahaha! We did it at the very last minute and didn't think of it! Thanks for telling us and for playing!
Lool, click bait title 😂
Kidding, loved playing PP, loved this too. Amazing work! Such a complex game made in just a few days? Great scott!
Really nice Fun and well executed
Neat twist on a stellar game.
I really enjoyed this, and it seems like ya'll worked hard on it
Was with my team lookin at this and its so crazy lookin at this style of game replicated for a jam good job!
Thank you! You guys did a good job on your game too!
Never played papers please so i struggled with this one, but wow this game is awesome! The fact that you managed to implement so many features, things to check, animations and general atmosphere, as well as what i assume to be an original soundtrack is very impressive. Well done!
Hey, thank you so much! We knew it could be tricky for people who had never played Papers Please to know what to do, but we didn't have enough time to create a tutorial level. Still, thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it.
Wonderful game, guys. Loved it.
Thank you 🫰
Wow, I think this game has inspired me to finally go and play Papers Please. Great game! Adding this one to my favorites collection.
Wow, thank you so much! I'm glad you liked our game. You should definitely give Papers Please a try, I'm sure you won't regret it. Thanks for playing!
One of my favorite games of all time. It'll be worth your time!
I love papers please so this is great! Cant believe you managed to fit it inside a week so kudos to you guys!
Thank you! ^^
I love all the little details here! I only wish I understood exactly what I was searching for. Still great presentation
Yeah! We wanted to include a small tutorial level, but in the end we ran out of time. Thanks for your feedback and for playing! ^^
How did u guys manage to make papers please in less than a week?? That's crazy!
Great game btw 😁
Pretty much three days of nonstop coding and creating assets together as a team hahaha. Thanks for playing! ^^
