I really love the visual style, and the music was a bop too. The gameplay was super fun and it was very satisfying standing in front of all the bullets, sucking them up, and then shooting them all out at once. Only thing I was confused about what the bullet "power-up", I couldn't figure out what it did. Other than that though this is a great game, nice work!

Developer(+1)

I couldn't get that fully implemented, but it currently gives you a couple of very large bullets. Thanks for playing!

I would call this game a "reverse bullet hell"! Very original and fun to play!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I’m really glad the dynamic between “bullet hell” and “bullet heaven” was prominent!

This game feels like Kirby broke bad. Loved massacring the lot with a fat mouthful of bullet reigning down on them!! Sweet concept, great job on this game. And the tunes went hard

Developer

lol thanks for playing! This is I game I really liked making and I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Great job it was super fun! I never got to comfortable bit towards the end it got a little repetitive but I played till the end, so I guess it wasn't that bad ;)

Developer

Thanks for playing! I do agree that the game gets a bit repetitive, but the time constraints hindered the amount of content :/

Great work on the art/sound design!! The game is fun and the absorption mechanics are well done!

Great representation of the theme!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I agree with the other comments. It's fun, and you have a solid base, but the main weakness would be the typical game jam problem -- lack of content due to time constraints. Great entry!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I could’ve added more content, but it would’ve been unbeneficial to the rest of the game :/ I instead focused on polishing the existing gameplay and I think I made the right choice…

This is a fun arcade style game! I like the absorb mechanic, especially when you absorb a lot of bullets and shoot them out all at once. The art & sound design is well done.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Game feel and the aesthetics are definitely something that I spent a large chunk of the jam focused on so I’m glad it payed off!

Very unique and the gameplay loop is really fun, loved the music too. I think with a bit more content and difficulty scaling this can be a banger of a game.

Thanks for playing! I am considering where to take this game from here with roguelike upgrades or waves. The difficulty was definitely something I tried to fix, but just ran out of time :/.

Submitted(+1)

I think a system where you have either timed waves or waves based on enemy numbers would work, then when a wave is finished give the player a choice between 2 or 3 upgrades, upgrades could have certain strengths against some enemies, and after that gradually increase the difficulty of each wave. this is the first solution that comes to my mind, implement your unique twists as you see fit :)

Super creative concept! The gameplay loop of dodging the ammo if you're low on the absorb ability until you're charged back up to go back on the offensive if very satisfying. Getting that opportunity to NOT dodge the bullets isn't something I've seen in another bullet hell, so kudos on the creativity and great execution.

Keep it up!

P.S. your derpy dude avatar image is amazing. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! The gameplay loop is something I really wanted to emphasize when designing this game so I’m glad it felt good!

I really like the concept for this one! I find the timer system being tied to health to be a pretty fun mechanic and I like how generous the window is to absorb bullets! Good work dude!

Developer

Thanks gor playing! That mechanic was made through me just considering if I wanted a traditional health system, so I’m glad to hear I made the right choice!

Yeah for sure,  it also comes at the benefit of a less-complicated UI. It took me a little bit to figure out that I needed to kill enemies to heal but I think I figured it out at a pretty appropriate time for a unique concept!

kriby + bullet hell is not something i thought i would see, and it's an incredible combination. i'd love to see how much farther this idea could go!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the nice feedback!
