Very cool game! I love the color pallet and the art overall is really great. I'm personally horrible on keyboard, so controller access would have been great, but overall this was super great. Love the tone and music and art style all fit together very well.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words, I can't believe I forgot the controller support and I'll look into adding it this week if I have the time. Really glad you enjoyed it!

This was a fun entry, I had a smile on my face while the voice over was happening and I think the worldbuilding was very well done, the boss was challenging and fun too. I'd say the biggest thing missing is probably some invulnerability frames when the player is hit so they can't be stun locked and some shading on the enemies so there's a hint that your hits are registered. overall great work, well done!

This makes me want to make a metroidvania so bad! Love the voice over work. Not many jam games go that far and I loved it. You're probably well aware, but having some knockback and invulnerability time would eliminate the issue of being killed by the same enemy so quickly. Sitting on top of the lizard enemy for instance kills you immediately. Love the secrets as well. I found the left room right away and was surprised that I would be looking for more secrets. Fantastic work!

This was a fun challenge, the atmosphere was established well with the narration during the tutorial. I know there are many games similar but I sensed some Hollow Knight influence which added to my enjoyment. Nice work, keep it up.

this game is super cool, i do think that some hit feedback, particularly on the boss would've been a big improvement (it was hard to tell if i was damaging it at all), other than that though this game is really solid, i love the non-linearity of it unlike many other metroidvanias, there were significant branching paths. i also really enjoyed the dialogue throughout which teaches the game. well done!

Thanks! We'll try to upload a version with bugfixing and better audio in the next few days, with that feedback being one of the most important changes. I actually changed it later after release but was too busy with work to remember to make a new build. I'm super glad you liked it! We ended up with a game a lot shorter than what we wanted so it's super uplifting to hear you say the layout doesn't feel linear.
By the way, I played Wyrm Canyon with Dante the other day. He was the one who gave you the feedback but while we played I couldn't believe how original and well realized that game was. It's super impressive and interesting so it's nice to hear that you also enjoyed our entry

Great game, At my first run I found a bug that froze the game and disappeared almost all the UI. I really liked the fact that you can and sometimes have to use your powers, I think this is making the game feel much more satisfying and polished. I really liked the art style (although at the start of the game I couldn't identify the player). Overall, it's a beautiful game! Glad you could participated!

I really liked exploring the world and finding the secret areas, and the art is really cool. Took me a few tries for the boss fight to figure out how to be him, maybe make the sound effects a little louder for when you hit the tentacles or add a health bar to make sure people know that it is doing damage. Also, not sure how this fits the theme of transformation but overall I had fun, nice work :)
