Spaceship Wrecked was an enjoyable experience. The art was minimalist and cute. Even the puzzles/mini games added a lot to the game. I hope you continue with this project and release it.

Developer(+1)

It's great to hear you enjoyed the game. We will at least do some updates based on all the feedback after the jam. Thanks for playing!

AH A GODOT GAME, It's visuals are so good, the aliens are cute, maybe the puzzles are too easy but hey it doesn't matter, The game is still good, You really need to adventure across the island  and it's perfect!, I love what you did on the butterflies!

Developer(+2)

Great to hear you enjoyed it! We pondered over the puzzle-difficulty for long time, but in the end, we wanted as many players to reach the end as possible. So we tried not to make the puzzles too hard. Thank you for good feedback!

What a great jam game! I really enjoyed that it is a complete experience. Every individual aspect of it feels very well-made and perfectly fits the overall tone and style.

Developer

That means alot to us! We try to make experiences that feel complete even in game jams. Thank you for playing.

This was such a fun game! I really loved the design of the characters and the different endings :)

Developer

It's nice to hear you had fun! We had so much fun creating the characters and the story.

This is a very good game, the cutscenes, the gamplay, the particle, the mechanics and the endings are good! It was fun to play and explore the island. The minigames was easy and fun to play. Keep up the good work! :)

Developer

I'm glad you like it. Thanks for playing!

Great game! It was fun to explore the island while doing quests and collecting things. The puzzles were fun and simple. The game has a clear goal, which I like. However, I wish a mini-map existed and some more music. Each character felt unique and they were fun and interesting. I like that the player made a spin on the double jump. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Much appreciated! I'm glad you liked the quests and puzzles. We didn't want to add a minimap so the feeling of exploring would be enhanced. Instead of minimap we added clear landmarks and made sure the important items were easily visible. I think Super Mario Odyssey has similar level structure and doesn't have a minimap. Just out of curiocity, what part of the game made you wish for a minimap? We also intended to have more music, but unfortunately didn't have time to make more. Thank you for playing.

I just felt like having a minimap would make it easier to navigate, especially if the map only shows the parts that you have already explored (but I think that it was easy to navigate because of the reasons you mentioned). This way, you would know where you have been, making it clearer where to search for e.g. fuel. You can also easily see which parts you have not been to. At the same time, it would be preferable if the minimap only showed terrain and your current position. (I also like to have an overview of the world I explore). Though, I would like to add that I think a minimap is not necessary, but more of a suggestion. I do agree on the part that a minimap could damage the feeling of exploration, and it can easily be used in the incorrect way. Anyway, it was fun playing your game. I hope to see more!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the clarification. All feedback is helpful and appreciated.

Precious lil nostalgic game, reminds me of a lot of my favorite ps1/n64 era games, and the premise reminds me of Pikmin a lot. I quite enjoyed the dialogs with all the little critters, like talking about Gub and the guy afraid of butterflies. Collecting stuff is fun and the 'post' minigame was more fun than it had any right to be. The precision platforming felt a little stiff, it took me far too many tries to get to the top of the lighthouse. Maybe collecting different pickups could have some different sound effects, to keep the audio design varied? I enjoyed the dialog audio but it did feel like the delivery was a little slow and I found myself clicking through each one instead of waiting.

Developer

I'm happy to hear the game felt nostalgic to you. We will definately adjust the lighthouse difficulty and tweak the dialog system a bit after the jam. Thank you for all your feedback.

Very charming! A fun little self-contained romp that "felt" well put together.

Developer

That's nice to hear. Thanks for playing!

This game has a wonderful world and personality to it. I would love to see so much more from these aliens and their fish-out-of-water assessments of Earth. The platforming was solid, and the writing was great. One thing I would recommend is making the double jump animation feel a bit more weighty- like the character is propelling himself upward more on that second jump. Maybe you could even get a bit of in-universe feel to it if the character was wearing a booster pack or anti-grav boots, and there was a little boost of smoke that came out when they did the double jump. I hope you continue with this project though, it would be so much fun to see more levels where they interact further with the human world. And possibly even at some point if they met some humans!

I actually recorded my playthrough. If you want to see my impressions as I played, you can see it below (timestamp for your game in the description). Hope that can be useful!

Developer(+2)

Thank you for streaming the game! It's always fun to see other people playing something we made. Your feedback was also very well put together and you made some good points. Anti-gravity boots are going to the update-list! We're glad you liked it!

Developer(+2)

I appreciate the valuable feedback you have given. Your video was very educational. Some things you pointed out were indeed stylistic choices, but most things were just left unpolished due to lack of time. We will be doing some improvements to the game based on all the feedback after the jam. When those are done, we will discuss the future of our little blue friends. You had a lot of good ideas for continuing the story. Thank you for your interest.

It so good, I like all the aspect, the graphic, music , characters and the minigames. Well, I just realize the double jump when try to climb the tower, and I think it would be good to know how many crew that I have to find and the crew that already re-recuited on the screen maybe. It's all perfect, I learn from this

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. You have raised good points. We will improve accessability and readability of the game based on all the feedback after the jam. I'm happy you liked it.

The controls are smooth, and being able to double jump feels great. The puzzle and rhythm mini games was a great addition! Also I like the turtle Gub, maybe it can have some interaction. Great stuff!

Developer

I'm happy to hear that. We thought about adding interactions with Gub, but didn't have time to do it. Maybe we add some after the jam. Thanks for playing!

Amazing what you managed to put together during the jam! This was a super fun experience. I loved the artstyle. The particle effects were awesome and the double jump animation was so satisfying! The characters were very charming and cute, both in the dialog and their 3d models. Oh, and the music in the firewall game was so good! XD

Developer

Thanks a bunch! It was very fun creating the characters. I'm happy that somebody mentioned the music. That was also really fun to make and it's inspired by ToeJam & Earl.

Clean! All around well-polished. Simple and effective execution. Great characters, fun little story. High marks for this one!

Developer(+1)

High marks are always welcome! Thank you for playing our game.

Great game! Had a great time playing it. The NPC interactions was funny and great, especially the double jump too (doing errands while flippin around). Overall a very great and interesting game. I liked it very much!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback. Glad to hear you had great time playing our game!  The double jump does make exploration of the island more fun (and its great exercise for the legs).

What a good time. Loved flipping around the island and the goofy cast of characters. Has a sort of ratchet and clank vibe to it. Also had some really cool little minigames - would've loved to do more of the pipe puzzle bits. Great work on this!

Developer(+1)

Great to hear you had good time! And I appreciate your feedback a lot. Ratchet and Clank was my favorite game as a child.

Submitted(+2)

I really liked the "what are they doing now" at the end, it was really funny. I enjoyed exploring the island. The graphics and sound effects are good and there's a good variety of mini-games. The controls were smooth but I did have some trouble with the lighthouse. Overall, good game!

Developer(+1)

I appreciate the feedback. We wanted to have meaningful choices in our game so we came up with that ending. I'm glad you liked it. The lighthouse was a balancing act between making it look good and making it easier to climb. Maybe we will adjust the difficulty of the lighthouse after the jam. Thanks for playing.

This Is great game, i enjoy playing man, need more story maybe

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it. More story would have been fun to make, but there is only so many hours in two weeks. We need our beauty sleep too.

Absolutely delightful, I think this is my favorite so far of the jam entries!!

Not only it's simple, clever and really polished (even got little things like the ground shaking when falling from higher places, or the respawn trigger being placed correctly when hopping the stones to the lighthouse, and of course the credits and nice musical beat) but it's actually really fitting with the theme of the jam.

Superb job to the developers! :D

Developer

That means alot to us! We put a great deal of effort into game feel and polishing the game, so we are happy it shows.
