The idea is really great - I like this a lot! I didn't immediately understand how the conversation works and I thought I press one of the buttons to select one answer. I guess it might have been a bit more interesting to select an answer, as you would have to think what you should write. I also had no time to read the messages, so I guess it would be nice to be able to have more downtime by using the level design or shooting the enemies.

I enjoyed the writing, supportive when being sincere and then funny when you make a mistake... I had to make many "mistakes" so I could see them all ;) I ran out of ammo so I was just juking the rest of the time - I was expecting the texting to feed back into the FPS with replenishing ammo or winning the game. All in all, it's a very solid game with well-written texts.

I like that idea!  It hadn't occurred to me.  That's a nice countbalance to the penalty of making mistakes.  If I end up expanding on this I'll be sure to try that.

Works well on a technical level, a 3D fps running in the browser on my PC without a hitch is impressive ( mine is kinda low end ). I think some background music would be a quick and easy way to increase the immersion a bit, maybe even switch between action theme and phone theme when using the phone. It was pretty harsh swapping between activities though, I can see that being the point but I think in practice it just comes off sort of tedious , kind of like phones IRL so points for accuracy at least :D

A nice entry for the jam good job getting it together so quick!

Had a rough time trying to play the game; it was lagging hard and Im not sure if there were texture issues, and I think the UI was cut off on my screen. It had interesting ideas though, maybe given more time it could be optimized.

I like the concept of having to check your phone while you play this game. It's a good representation of how you can really focus on one thing at a time. The game part of it could use more fleshing out.

Not sure why I can't see the whole game screen like some UIs are out of place, and shooting enemies while texting is quite difficult to do. But I can see this idea can be a potential for the FPS genre, maybe some polish need to be done I guess? Nice entry though!

Love this concept! I ran out of bullets which means I was probably doing too much shooting and not enough being a friend, haha. I thought the controls work really well. The menu seems to stop working after I died, so I had to reload.

A great idea! My game started to lag pretty badly after a while, but I enjoyed the time I had with it. Kind of wish I had time to read the conversation!

I think the juxtaposition of FPS with texting is a brilliant idea, only needs a story to tie all together and take advantage of this humorous bizarre situation.

Interesting idea! Being unable to move when sending the text felt more frustrating than fun, especially since there was never really any downtime to answer texts. Perhaps having different keys (like the number keys) for answering the texts might feel better? Other than that I liked where you were going with the idea.

Great concept! Needing to constantly switch between modes to accomplish the two competing goals presents a nice challenge for the player. Nice job!

Fun Idea, but I was always pressing wasd trying to move and looking on the phone.
