How does your game represent Mode?
The "Mode" theme was interpreted as game modes. The focus of the game is the Rotation Mode which picks the game mode for rounds at random from Survival, Team Deathmatch, Free-for-All , and Infection. You gain a high score for completing consecutive rounds. I also made a Sandbox Mode and a Tutorial.

Nice job on this! The gun recall mechanic was clever. Awesome work.

Developer

Thank you so much! I loved your game, Red Snow!

This is a really fun idea. The gun throw/recall mechanic is deeply satisfying, great concept!

That's great to hear :) thanks for playing!

Fun idea! I like randomly moving between game modes. I don't think I came across many opportunities where throwing the gun made more sense than just shooting everything in sight, but the idea is still cool nonetheless. Good work!

Developer

Much appreciated! Good point, I'm thinking about enemy types that would make it more required, thanks for the feedback!

Good idea. I liked that you had a fighting mechanic as well as a jam mechanic, made it fun to play. Liked the blood effects.

Developer

Thank you!

Shooting around corners like nobodies business is a fun mechanic. Instead of the different gamemodes maybe your time would have been better spent polishing a single game mode and creating more content/interesting enemies/guns.

Developer

For sure I feel the same way, just tried to get the game modes done to go with the theme. After the jam is over I'll be polishing the core elements. Thanks for playing!

I did like the overall presetantion and the thwrowing gun mechanic is genius. The mode I liked the most was infected as it was the one with more strategy to put in. One nitpick is that the blood of the enemies overlap with collision and the cursor can get lost in the back ground due to be very thin and of the same color. But I really liked the concept and some other experimental weapon like the throwing gun!

Developer

Much appreciated! Good technical notes, thanks!

The idea of throwing your gun around the corner to shoot at enemies is so cool and has so much potential! With a bit of polish and variation at enemies (maybe a less-common enemy that can also throw its gun?) it would turn out to be a really solid game !!

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to review! After the jam ends I might look into adding enemy variation/enemy gun throwing

Tiny bit of lag in the WebGL but this game was really solid!!! i liked the whole idea of throwing your gun and using it for strategic plays. lots of potential! Good job!!!

Developer

For sure, didn't have time to optimize or add loading screens. Much appreciated :) thanks for playing!

Town down shooter. Lags quite a bit in the browser. Game modes were interesting and different. Splatter effects were drawn overtop of walls. Every enemy is a bullet sponge with little or any variation. You can fire at enemies off screen well outside of their firing range allowing you to kill them without threat. Only the number of enemies matters until you are overwhelmed.

Developer

Fair enough on the graphical/gameplay notes, thanks for playing!
