Great art! Great game feel! Great everything! This one is awesome! Great work!
Great simple high score action game, but with some extra clarity I think I'd be able to have a lot more fun with it.
- My favorite part is the death screen. It just really feels like 'hey good job, even if you were horrible' like I was. Such a great addition, honestly helps you try for another round.
The atmosphere of the experience is incredibly fun, battling it out with pixel demons above the lava, with strong sound and music that compliment it.
- I think it could really benefit from more clarity in your available target. I constantly felt like I should be in range of enemies but wasn't, probably not helped because of the bug you mentioned, and really struggled to make progress. Yes in general I don't think I have a chance at being good at it, but a couple things that could at least help me feel in more control and aware of my situation:
Instead of the blue target going to red, that matches the enemies and then blends in, instead a red going to blue to contrast them could help.
And the enemy you would hit/are targeting changing to blue, would significantly improve the clarity and readability further of your actions at speed and elevate the pacing of the experience.
Thank you so much for the feedback, I’ve been racking my brain trying to think of the best way to make it more obvious that you’re targeting an enemy.
Both of your suggestions are absolutely fantastic! I was going to update the game with whatever solution I’d thought of after the rating period is over. Do you mind if I implement your solutions? Because honestly they’re a really good idea!
No worries, I'm real happy that my suggestions sound good for what you were already considering, so I'd absolutely be happy for you to implement them and look forward to trying it again after those changes are made :) .
Well done!
simple yet satisfying! feels very polished
Pretty sure that I'm going to keep playing this one, I absolutely love the art style the visuals and the overall gameplay mechanism. Achieving a game this good in a time constraint like this while working alone shows that you are an absolute mad lad. GREAT JOB 10/10
Nice game ,man! Super unique and kept me wanting to keep playing to beat my previous score. Ultimate goal of an arcade game.
Really addictive game! The music was good, the mechanics were too, and I enjoyed it a lot! My highscore was 2100, I think it is pretty bad xD
Don’t worry, my sister played and she said her high score was 150, so anything better than that and you’re good XD
I’m pretty sure my highscore isn’t even the highest one I’ve seen. Thanks a lot for checking it out :)
Ha, looks like we have similar games. I love it when I get a long combo, it makes me feel like I'm invincible. Probably one of the most entertaining games I've played.
Definitely the best game I have played so far. This feels like it could be a full game once there are some levels. Amazing work.
Seriously?!?!? The game was really really good!!! It's so satisfying each time we hit an enemy. That little flicker on each hit is an amazing touch. Really loved the way this game was handled. You do say there is a glitch but this seems like one of the most polished games.
Thanks, I literally added that last second and I'm so happy I did. I'm glad you liked it :)
Wow, the smoothness and game feel with this one is THROUGH THE ROOF! Your unique art style of pixelated 3D really helps setting your game apart, and dashing through stuff is just plain fun. I could really see this becoming an arcade game a la Downwell, with upgrades you can buy once you reach a certain height. Instead of looping the combo sound every 10 hits, I would have a different "max combo" sound play after 10, things would feel even better this way, but that's pretty much the only thing I'd change about your game, the scope and delivery were perfectly handled, I'm amazed :D
I absolutely love Downwell! That combo sound idea is great as well. I literally added the rising pitch sound last second, so I didn't put much thought into it to be honest. Thanks a lot for your feedback :)
Cool game! I really like how you did the cursor transition from the little blue cross to the red hit box. All the sound effects and animations were great in general. Great work :)
loved ur game its astonishing how good this game is
Just amazing.
Love em So Much I can't Stop!
Great Idea and Execution. This could really becomes the new Flappy Bird
this game is incredible, I had a ton of fun playing this game I can't stop
Really love your art style. The mechanics and sound were cool too. I could see myself playing this for a few hours if it was expanded on, although I think I might've preferred designed linear levels over the survival style.
my god this is amazing!!!. really like the game. but i cant tell if the enemies im trying to kill is far or near or im just dumb lol. anyways its a very good game hehe.
I can't stay alive for more than 20 secs. Other than that it was looking pretty neat.
I loved the concept of this game. The music, visuals and core movement mechanic were cool. I personally sucked at playing this game though. Just call me lavaman because that's where I spent most of my time hehe. Awesome work!!
Thanks a lot, Lavaman! XD
