A fun game, The visuals are really nice and and overall feel of the game. Wouldve been nice if there was some sound and music. It can be a bit challenging to grasp at first but eventually i got the concept of it. A fun and challenging. well done
The pixel art is really cool and nice idea! Could be a lot better with sound :) 5 for design and visuals!!
i like the 1bit art and the system that you can defend it by killing yourself
I'll echo the sentiments of other commenters that it'd be great to have some sound or music to heighten the experience or at least to give some satisfying feedback to upgrading/killing enemies/etc. I totally get how hard it is to get everything done during the jam (my game lacks music too), but I really applaud you finishing and getting this out there. I enjoyed the experience playing quite a bit :)
Interesting game! I really like the premise of it, I haven't really seen a tower defense game in this style before.
If you wanted to improve, the controls could use some tuning, adding wasd to movement controls would be nice, having two functions for space bar made it hard to get the game to respond to what I wanted to do.
Check out my game if you have time!
I think that the start tutorial isn't very helpfull and you don't know what is happening in the beginning. However I found the idea and dessign very good, and I like the pixel art too. With some usability improves like a better tutorial and some balance adjust it would become an incredible game. Very well done mate!
A fun game that has you running around the map carrying towers and restocking them. It's a bit rough with how the towers can die in one hit (especially if you just restocked an upgraded one like me). Once a tower is destroyed there is basically no way for you to defend.
I liked that the path of the enemies is shown, it can help you prepare in where you place your towers. I also found a bug where I put down a fence inside the base and everything just stopped. I also couldn't kill enemies which was weird, but fair given the circumstances.
The game really lacks audio which makes it feel a bit bland, while it is actually a fun game to play! Upgrading doesn't cost that much, and maintaining your towers is hard, albeit doable. I liked the visuals as well.
The graphical style works really well, it would've been so cool to have some sound effects and music! I really like the wireframe circle that appears if you pick up a tower to show it's range, it's a relatively small detail but it looks super polished and is really clear.
Even though you have a clear explanation in the beginning, it still took me quite some time to figure out exactly what was going on, but once I figured it out I ended up really enjoying the playthrough. Nice job!
The graphics are simple and funny. They go perfect with the atmosphere you have created. Congratulations
Please rate mine
It would definitely benefit from a better tutorial or perhaps some more intuitive designs. It did take me quite a while to figure out how this was supposed to be played. As for the gameplay itself, I thought it was quite a cool concept. My favorite part, however, was the art. Really nice and clean designs!
Pretty fun, a bit difficult, I think the mechanic of recharging towers needs a bit of work, I got stuck without money, and then there was nothing i could do exept wait until i lost...
also somehow i softlocked myself like this:
im stupido :/
This is fun. I like how it looks. A recommend you add some audio.
Love the look, wish there was audio!
I'm confused about what's going on in this game... maybe some tutorial should be better.
is it just me or enemies is just die too hard lol
Hmmm ... what exactly is confusing you? I tried to clarify things in the title screen as well as the game description on itch. While I agree with you that a tutorial would be helpful, I'm just wondering what it is that I could make clearer in the game description to make ppl enjoy the game more during the jam, since I can't add anything to the game right now ^^ :)
Thx for your help!
most confusing is 'new tower' need to be reloaded is kind of confusing XD
the control are space and long space some are enter. for me is so hard to remember.
and Arrow control with enter and spacebar is kinda weird, maybe next time try to use z x c or Change to control with WASD might be better
Nice concept and fun graphics. I really like how bouncy the player was. This could be a pretty cool game when fully realized. a resource collecting RTS meets tower defense. You should keep developing this one. :)
Cool game! The run animation was funny. In terms of gameplay i must say that this is not my type of game but it feels like the monsters where not dying ;p Good job, keep up the good work!
I liked it a lot, especially the art, it fits the theme since there's less pixels, more style
Yeah, that fits as well (on top of less distance -> more loot; less range -> more firepower) ^^ although I didn't have the theme in mind for the art :)
Thx for playing!
It fits the theme, but the sprites are a bit confusing at first. There's a lot to grapple at start, but you can get used to it. 4.7/5
Yeah, you need a minute to get used to the looks and a lot to take in at the beginning. Glad you stuck with it a bit! I hope you enjoyed it after the initial struggle :)
Good game. It needs better instructions and tips, other than that it's solid. 4/5
Thanks for the review :) ... Yeah, I was a bit under time pressure in the end, so I couldn't put together a proper tutorial. I've added some instructions to the game description, so I hope that will help. Thx for the tip!
Was a little confusing how to play but overall, I like the idea of the game! Great job!
