Really interesting game! I will start by saying I couldn't beat any of the bosses, as I encountered an issue where, when I'd shoot, the projectile would go towards the center instead of where I was looking, making the fight very hard as I had to position myself between the boss and the center to actually get a few hits in (I suppose it's not intended behaviour).

The fun factor is there! I couldn't play it multiplayer (as I didn't have friends online) but just bouncing around the arena was pretty nice, I can see it working well in the co-op format! From what I've seen, the boss's attacks are simple but can work.

The highlight of the game is surely the mechanic of "spinning the mousewheel" to reload! I've never seen something like this, and I think that's a very interesting mechanic to have! It keeps you active, and fixes the problem of having to wait a bunch of time before the reload is complete, because this time the reload time increases through skill! Only criticism, maybe the reload is a bit too slow as of now?

The art and sounds are great, and the glowy-cyber feel is very cool.

Nice game! It definitely needs some polish, but I can see it working pretty well once everything is ironed out.

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback! We've encountered the issue before but only happened once and that's after the submission so we didn't know how to go about solving it xD Thank you again for giving it some of your time!

I like the visuals, a lot into sci fi universe, so cool and bright, also its very nice you have incorporated multiplayer, I couldnt test this feature but I had fun playing alone, the tutorial part is really helping, the move and attacks are all nice, even the music is cool. I rate graphics, music, fun and control the most all is great really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!

PS Also it would be nice to have option to invert Y axys for the camera movement, just my personal liking, its cool as is too

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! There is an option in the settings to invert the Y axis movement. Also for multiplayer try sharing the code with your friends! The game is so much more fun than that! I also rated your game!

Hey just gave it a play. Pretty fun design. I wish y inverted wasn't default and the music should stay between plays. Multiplayer didn't seem to work. A few more abilities per boss would have been good

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Multiplayer didn't work? Can you tell how it happened?

we both put the same code in (Sarge) since we guessed that was how we got into the same game and I was the leader of the party. Once we were both in I clicked play and we got in but the other person didn't get in on his screen. I tried this with 1 other person as well and got the same result. Maybe we just got unlucky or something idk

Developer(+1)

It's fine thank you for telling us. That was so helpful.

I had a bit of a hard time with the controls but i love the art and the mouse wheel for reloading is something I've not seen before but i think it works great in this

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much! We have some settings if you'd like to make changes and give it another shot! We're thankful that you tried it!

I feel that the game overall looks very polished. Both the graphics and controls are extremely cool. Additionally, the design of charging shots with the mouse scroll wheel is also fantastic. Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm glad you liked it!

The use of the mouse wheel for reloading is really cool!

Really good concept - and I always loved and still love the neon artstyle in games :D

Visually and gameplaywise it's a really polished game so kudos for the work!

It was a bit laggy in my browser but my PC is not a fusion-reactor so that was expectable. The controls felt a bit strange at first and somehow I didn't have ammunition and didn't really figured out right away how / where / what.

The multiplayer factor is also good, usually multiplayer games are rare in game jams so it's always a breath of fresh air!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! The controls are just weird, I know now.  The web was super great to work with!

love the neon art style in the game! had a lot of fun playing and getting used to the abilities. i did notice the vertical looking was inverted which not sure if that was intended or not for a first person shooter but made it a bit difficult to aim up or down. had a fun time playing though and would love to see how this plays in multiplayer!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Multiplayer was fun! And the controls need a bit of tweaking. Got it!

Had some trouble with mouse capture for some reason.  The music was nice and I liked the concept.  Good job!

Big kudos on making such a polished game that also uses Playroom! Super impressive graphics, unfortunately couldn't find anyone else on the server but had fun taking down the boss on my own. Great job

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you had fun!

A very unusual use of the mouse wheel — a kind of spinning mechanic as well! :) I wouldn't say it's super convenient, but it's definitely something new. The mouse sensitivity felt very high, but I adjusted it on my own mouse. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any players for multiplayer, so I wasn't able to test that part. The boss fight was quite interesting, and the visual effects were really nice. At first, I even thought this was made in Unreal Engine, but then I remembered the Unity logo during loading.

Developer(+1)

Oh my... My team appreciate your words so much! Thanks for the detailed comment and that unreal part... That's amazing that you think of the graphics in that way! But the question remains, did you get a win though? XD
