Good game, i really liked the graphics of the game. I wish you could move in 2 directions at once (e.g.: up and left) when using arrow keys.

thank you. When your a solo dev u need to save time to get the 'right' look. So I drew the vector shapes and then exported those as images before running the filter in PP. You might enjoy the graphics in my game the Owl Witch too. I dud a similar thing. It's on my page. ๐ฆ ๐งโโ๏ธ Enjoy it if u have time! Thanks again
Solid submission for 7 days! for some reason, most of the buttons were triggered right when you hover over them, plus the game would feel a lot better if the player faced where you were swimming, and not just left/right. But the graphics were really interesting, its like everything was sown together :)
I can't play the game, unfortunately. I get stuck in this screen:
I click On and Off but nothing happens
I loved the graphics, it looks like hand paint, sounds was nice too. It is cool to have quest variations. Good job !
Wow I love the graphics, they are soo unique! I haven't seen a game like it art wise, and definitely not in this game jam yet. If it's okay to ask, how did you achieve this look? Aside from the art, great selection of missions to pick from providing a nice variety. Awesome entry, great job!
cheers for the feedback. The visuals were created in PowerPoint believe it or not. I do that for a job so always get a moment to look at some if the features. Really impressive visuals, the way the coral and underwater scenes looked was amazing. I had fun, nice work!
I'd love to try it but I am stuck on a screen that looks like this. None of the buttons do anything aside from make the audio glitch, it seems to be impossible to leave this screen and access the game.
Amazing retro design and cool game! Totally didn't take me like 20 tries to beat levels 3 & 7 XD.
No worries man I feel your pain as a solo dev myself. I think it's great that you made these levels challenging because that way it makes the game more worth beating, but that's just my opinion. Also, whenever I get the chance, I'll definitely check out your other games! I'm fairly new myself and am learning a bunch as I go.
Interesting artstyle choice, i mean the backgrounds, they look kinda mosaics. I would've preferred it if the character could be controlled by wasd or arrow keys, instead of UI direction buttons. I appreciate the handdrawn assets made by you, in a short time. I like add various different levels and how travel to those levels from the map. I think overall it's a nice little project for a game jam
thanks for your detailed feedback. I used a simple mosaic filter on PowerPoint of all things. When your a solo dev u need to save time to get the 'right' look. A unique take with the zoomed-in CRT TV pixel effect which really gives it a story/scrapbook-style gameplay! The UI buttons go out of screen on doing full screen tho (not an issue due to the arrow controls). Choosing from a variety of mission also seems fun but takes away the desire to reach the last boss of the game kind of feeling. Nice game overall.
thanks for the indepth feedback. The level selection map was to allow players to return to the game and pick up were they left off. I agree however it might take away from that feeling of progress. Glad you enjoyed the game. Check out my other games if u have time. You love to hear your views. Being a solo dev means I can get caught up in things which either don't work or need tuning. Thank you again ๐
I loved the whole concept of the game, makes for an interesting casual game. The UI is also cool
thank you. I was pleased with the ui and how u start on the boat choosing were to go. If u get time you might like โ ๏ธPlague and Flames ๐ฅ on my page. It's like 2 games in one and has a similar way of choosing the levels. It's probably abit more slick in all honesty (least I hope it is) Enjoy!!! ๐
Love the artwork, very creative - also like the (not sure how to describe this) panel like gameplay where you scroll to the next tile for both the "menu" (mission selection etc) and gameplay. awesome submission - well done.
Nice game .
I liked that there are many stages and to scroll a stage you have to take another object. What I didn't like the least is that you can get out of the slumbers at the end of the first stage as well as the third
Nice game! I absolutely loved that you could choose your own mission on the map. I did find some audio issues and personally found the music a bit too repetitive.
