Really creepy game! I loved the idea of seeing the game through the TV screen and being able to zoom out to see the rest of the room (and it changing thru out the game)

This was a creepy game, the fact that I was watching the screen made me feel like something was behind me. It would be cool if you could get out of screen mode and look behind you, because if you could... that means something COULD be behind you... I ran into an issue where I didn't get to the second part when I popped the balloons, but afterwards it ran smoothly after restarting and I popped EVERY balloon. I got the bad ending so I think I was too balloon poppy. Great work!

Thanks for playing! You actually can look behind you by pressing e again and very subtle things do change behind you. Everyone seems to be getting the sane glitch so I'll definitely be fixing that ^~^

Always like to see horror games for jams! The Tiny Tim song gave me a little chuckle, I think they used it in the movie Insidious as well! I'm not sure I understood the premise of the game exactly, I'm thinking that I was playing as Tomvolio popping the balloons? I liked the progression of going through the areas more than once with things getting creepier every time, reminded me of PT! I ended up getting the bad ending unfortunately and tried to play through it again but I think I encountered a bug because I couldn't play through a second time. Overall though it's a great start to a horror game, and my one main criticism is that the screen you play through is just a bit too small. I think making it nearly full screen with just the edges of the TV showing would help make it more immersive and creepy!

Thanks for playing! I really enjoyed your playthrough of my little horror game ^^ I will take your feedback on board when I'm developing the final build of the game. Insidious is one of my favourite horror movies and I kind of linked the theme to that movie with its themes of the "other world" and diving deeper into that. I wanted to make a somewhat  ethereal   space where on the surface it doesn't make any sense but there is a reason for everything in the game. I wanted to emulate how I feel when I'm spiralling downwards mentally. The popping of the balloons is meant to represent the tedious and repetitive tasks throughout my life and sometimes days seem like they're blending together with very subtle changes in between. At the end of the hallway you end up where you begin, bed... The reason why you're looking through a T.V. screen is that sometimes I feel like I'm not actually living, just being a character in a movie that is playing on repeat. Hence diving deeper into insanity. Overall thanks for checking out my game! it was a real treat watching you play :)

Fun! But I didn't really get what any of it meant. Good job for scaring though.

Tip Toe Through The Tulips!

Things I enjoyed ✔️

  1. The retro horror aesthetic is superb!
  2. Gameplay felt nice! I was able to get through it pretty quick.
  3. I enjoyed the earry music in the background! Really added to the suspense!

Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷‍♂️

  1. I did run into a glitch where I popped all the balloons but nothing happened, after restarting twice it did work.

Overall 📓

You are great at making horror! I felt freaked out the whole time, which means you did your job great!

weird little game but enjoyable.

Very eerie! I got the escape ending.

I don't deal well with horror games, and I was getting very nervous - which only means you did a great job!

This was awesome, I love Tiny Tim. Played this stoned and enjoyed it way more than I should have. Great job!

Liked the idea of the TV screen.

i love the creepy aesthetic going on here. I think the tv screen could be moved a bit closer to the player? It was really tiny to look at even on a 32" monitor. The music really was the cherry on top for me. Enjoyed the devolution into madness! Would you mind rating mine? https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236551
