Really spooky game! I didn't manage to beat it tho, and the constant jumpscares remind me of FNAF 3 (not really in a good way).

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. After going over it I realised that the jumpscares are not really good.

it’s no problem! Getting horror right is kinda tricky, and the best way to get better at doing horror is looking at feedback and what people say!

The atmosphere is great at building tension also its great that you did some voice acting I always love that in jams but the constant jump scares kind of ruins the experience. Adding constant jump scares isn't a good idea when trying to do horror. It would startle the player for one second but thats it making the player feel like there would be a jumpscare any second is more effective. Here are some horror tricks for next time. Changing the artstyle (look at blackspace from omori). Adding things that should normally not be there. (think back to that scene with the two girls in the hallway from the shining).  Turning the music off in certain scenes. Using ambient noise. Using primal human fears such as being watched. Anyways I still enjoyed this game even with it's flaws good job :)

Thanks for playing and giving tips, will definitely do this next time I make a horror game

Nice that you made a narrative experience. Atmosphere is great. I had no idea what my end goal was tho and I never survived long enough to find anything on the scanner. I just passed out at some point from not getting to the first aid quickly enough :D

Character control was a bit too slidy for my taste. I don't think fully thight controls would work for the ambiance but perhaps a bit more precise movement would have worked better?

Overall a solid 2d horror experience and a +1 for voice acting.

i like the concept and the atmosphere is great! and idk if just me but when i try to open the map it keeps opening and closing by itself and also it would be better to only be able to heal like 3 times every 5 minutes but overall Great Job!

Developer

Yeah I think that the map glitch is something that shows up for everyone who plays the game. But anyways thanks for playing

The atmosphere is pretty good :3.  The UI is diversity but it's a pity that it doesn't operate with full uses. Anyway, I startled a lot because of the surprised eyes that appeared every 30 seconds :D

The voice acting and stress mechanic are pretty good, but I'm not sure what I have to do. The scanner keeps saying  "transmitter not detected" and then shutting down, and I don't know where to move the submarine. Also when I interact with something, there seems to be a bug where it just flashes on and off until I let go of the key, and the map flashes on and off until I press tab again.

Developer

Yeah sorry about that. Realised just now that the main mission of the game is pretty unclear and also I have absolutely no idea whats going on with that map glitch comes from. But anyways thanks for playing and giving feedback.

Creepy atmosphere and nice voice. But, hard to understand what to do exactly, i tried to move my boat and then console becomes inactive.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Now that I think about it now I probably should of made it more clear of what to do than just make the player figure it out themselves. But anyways thanks for playing.

Really good voice acting, i got scared a bit sometimes, the movement of the player was a bit slippery. Good concept though.

Developer

Thanks for playing and giving feedback!

Loved the voice acting and the graphics! I didn't like that the game just was installing itself without having my permission the second I opened the .exe

Developer

Oh sorry about that 😅 But I'm happy you liked it

Hi, we really liked your concept! Is there a little bug on the map because it constantly opens and closes itself when pressing TAB?  We couldn't figure out how to progress but the environment is really spooky and cool. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Don't know why the map keeps opening and closing but in the future I'm planning to fix it.

Your game is haunting. Wasn't ready for the terrifying thing to come up. The mechanic that implies you need to relax is smart!

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you found it haunting it was what I was trying to go for. Would've loved to make it more scary but I unfortunately didn't have the time.
