I love all the games that went for a non-nautical theme and switched up the core premise! My team was planning something similar before we pivoted. I got stuck in the second-stage room with two wall buttons and two crates, but I enjoyed myself up until then — being able to destroy and revert objects has so much puzzle potential, and I would love to see more expanding on that idea, and more interactions with different types of objects if you decide to continue with this or make something with a similar mechanic.

How does your game fit the theme?
The plot is simple. You are inside your dream and find yourself inside a dungeon that keeps going down and down where you have to solve puzzles and aquire powers
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code with the help of two animation tools - one for tiles and one for sprites.

This is the best interpretation of the theme i've played so far! Very Cool
I really like the old-school feel of this game. It looks and sounds very nice, I liked the puzzles too. I couldn't finish it, because I was too slow to press all the tiles in the room with the watch (?)
fun game. Good for what I think was your first entry. The pixel art was dope. The audio also worked well.liked the shirt intro off the menu.helped give context n set the pace. Often overlooked. Well done. Will u make more games? Did u enjoy the jam process?
Thank you for playing the game!
Yes I will definitely make more games and I can't wait because this jam was an awesome experience. I crunched a lot but at the end when I look at all the feedback and the comments I just know it's worth it!
Making games is a thing I hope I'll always be able to do.
Cheers!
This game feels great!
Things I enjoyed ✔️
- This is a great puzzle game! I got into it very quick!
- The graphics and audio is amazing! Great job on the animations aswell!
- The simplistic mechanics of the game make it easy to learn!
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷♂️
- Maybe just increasing the characters movement by just a little bit, just so the animation lines up a bit more with the characters speed
Overall 📓
This was a really fun puzzle experience! Great job on this game! It honestly was a lot of fun, you should really be proudly of yourself for this game, because you knocked it out the park!
Thank you so much for playing my game and leaving such an in depth review. I appreciate every advice I recieve! I really love it that people leave such nice feedback on my game because it's my first time tackling this kind of responsiblity and It brings me a lot of joy to read all these reviews.
Noted - I will improve the movement speed in the next little patch because I see a trend in people asking me to do that.
Game was very relaxing, loved the concept with the item degradation. Really enjoyed the puzzles.
I liked plot. And small details at the beginning like piano. puzzles was easy at the start but then it started to be more difficult. You made good job. Good luck at your next works.
What game engine did you use? For your first completed game this is really good, much more in depth than what I made my first time. I hope you learned alot and apply it to your next game, I'm looking forward to seeing what you make
The game itself has really good art, music and a nice feel in general. I couldn't open the door in the room with the red box in your screenshot, but was still fun reading all the dialogues. Good job!
Hello there,
First I would like to thank you for taking the time and playing my game. It means a lot to me!
To answer your questions - I used Unity to create the game (I use it because I like c# and some of my favourite devs use it too so this way I can get my motivation from them).
For the door part. Can you specify your problem because I am trying to replicate it based on the info you've given me but I cannot find myself not opening the door? Can you say what did you do, which level was it. So I can try and replicate it and possibly fix it.
Thank you for the comment,
Cheers!
Very cool game! I love the dreamy climate of it, also the music gives even more drowsy feeling.
Unfortunately, I think I've found a some bugs :( On level 5 I managed to push the box outside the game view and was unable to finish that level (did it twice).
I played once more, passed that level and was pleasantly surprised that there were more mechanics waiting for me :), but when I reached the levels with the time shot I did it on a box that was supposed to be moved and it couldn't be moved anymore.
Overall, I had a lot of fun during my gameplay and would enjoy playing it again if the bugs were fixed ( I'm realy curious what the ending is ;) )
It was a good game. Especially the dialogues I didn't think that someone will make a story in the game jam, the puzzles are simple, I enjoyed the pixel design and the idea.
I discovered that the player can move three boxes at once, and somehow push them out of the map.
But in general it was a good 16 minutes trying it :)
Nice puzzle game! Great interpretation of the theme.
It was a bit hard for me to pull/push the boxes but besides that is great.
A solid puzzle game. The best part about this game is a different understanding of the theme. Most people would just do a simple diving game. The art art is also pretty cute. A couple of suggestions, I think you can try to build a stronger connection between the gameplay and the story. The box something slide away for some reason so I have to restart the game.
Also, If you have time, please take a look at my game, thanks.
Thank you for playing the game!
I will definitely take the story and gameplay advice for future games because for this game I had a slightly diffrent vision but my technical knowledge stopped me. For the boxes I will try and stop them from sliding as best as I can because it took me almost a day to implement the dragging mechanic.
A cute and fun little puzzler! I made it to the last room and then I made the game crash by trying to shoot the exit, so I guess he got his wish of staying in the dream world after all
