How does your game fit the theme?
Doors unlock new fields and doors are used to talk with costumers , literally the core 2 game play

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I did write the code myself and all are fresh yes . But i didnot know how to make load screens between change so used one add on for that , we didn't have access to artists , so many arts are from kenny.nl . Thanks

Great artwork, and I'm impresses with how many working systems you've created in such a short amount of time. Well done!

Was a journey for sure

Loved the music and the day/night lighting. Would've loved some audio/visual feedback when collecting pollen. I wish the pollen hitboxes were a bit larger. Unless I missed something it seemed like I would've needed to collect pollen, create honey, and sell it to customers 34 times to afford to unlock the next area so I quit before being able to see that. I would've liked to see my inventory (at least pollen) always on screen so I can see that number going up. I also didn't love having to fly all the way to the left to sell honey to houses and not being able to sell in bulk easily.

Although there were quite a few minor issues that caused quite a bit of friction, I really enjoyed the experience of being a bee collecting honey with some nice music. The controls were very smooth as well. Nice work!

The idea is interesting and cute, but sometimes it's a bit painful to play. First of all, it's a bit weird that I need to interact twice to get pollen from a flower. It would be better if I just take it to the inventory from the first time. Secondly, I feel that keys cost too much, especially for a jam game. It feels like I need to do a lot of grind to open the next location, and I think a lot of people just stop playing at that point. And finally, the UI of shops and customer houses is not convenient for the player. Also, I don't quite understand why I need all those customer houses, when I can sell everything in the same house

Anyway, I think you did a great work, and I hope this feedback will be useful.

Funny gameplay I love it ^^. You need some polish and vfx and here we go.

Great game ^^.

The idea is good and the cosy atmosphere is nice.

The controls felt needlessly overcomplicated. WASD movement is fine, mouse movement is fine, but mixing the two doesn't work well. Same think for the pollen collection, why clicking twice (flower then pollen) when it could be done without clicking at all?

Otherwise the game was enjoyable yet a bit repetitive.

Submitted(+1)

To live as a bee was quite enjoyable. Especially the random things at night were exciting. took me a while to figure out you can press e more often to get different offers from the houses haha

Submitted(+1)

Cute idea and execution. Had bit trouble with the control but once it clicked it got easier. I think the look at the mouse direction is good but I would probably keep the WASD movement and the be just keep looking at the mouse pointer.

Definitely a cool concept and assets.

cute concept! moving needed to get some getting used to, but overall great jam submission

Cool and nice game idea ^^

Really nice concept, this could definitely be expanded upon in the future. Great job!

Developer

Thank you

Very cute, the controls take some getting used to but the gameplay is pretty fun, the art is v nice but it could use a background, very nice job 😁

Submitted(+1)

Idea itself is fun. I think you should try and expand on this one, it can become nice experience in gradually improving what you have already, also the game can become quite more fun.

I kinda can already imagine a minigame or two for each of the activities you have in your gameplay, and if done it will bring this game to a whole new level, and more content can help as well, of cource)

My main complaint for now is the amount of repetitiveness you need to go through to get a money for a key.

Left hand definitely feels a little too busy - for exmple, would be nice to bind interaction action to LMB or space instead of E.

Also seems logical to punish the player for not returning home in time to sleep? By dropping some items, for example - this change will probably require to add some to the duration of the day.

Good job with the idea as a whole, keep on!

I quite like the idea. Its a neat little concept that i could imagine could be expanded upon (think Stardew Valley but as a bee). Collecting the pollen from the floor was a bit tedious, since the interaction range seemed to short, at least my E key didnt work as i would have expected it. Movement was a bit slugish, but i like the idea. What i missed most was SFX, it really needs some to push it from ok to good. Overall, still a neat little entry to the jam. You and your team should be proud.

Movement could be better i was challenge 1st to move 2nd thing that there were too much to read and slides leading to just ignore. Maybe with game or with image tell what to do. Good Concept

I'm also in the jam, and I know with more time, everyone will have a list of things they'd like to add or wanted to add. I try to provide the listed feedback in a constructive form to highlight different perspectives as a player and to show that I indeed did play the game.

  • Lots added into the game
  • Very good use of Kenney's assets. Looks very polished with it.
  • I think I got stuck in the first spawn area the first time because I chose the upgrades for more pollen but had already taken all the plants. Don't know if they regrow or not :(
  • I did not like using the mouse with the movement. I just thought it would be wasted, up, down, left, right where w & controls gravity.
  • Cute concept with the bee
Developer(+3)

They do regrow with little bit of time , actually should have added a reset timer on daily reset too . that was an oversight from myside . Thanks for letting me know

Submitted(+2)

I really liked the movement

One bad thing about it, is that you use the mouse both to do some ui actions and to move

Developer(+1)

Ya , but i couldnot think of any solution . wanna help think a solution

Submitted(+2)

You could try to keep using "W, S, E and Esc" (W and S to choose, E to select, Esc to close the ui and give control back to the player)

Also it would be nice to have a couple of simple minigames when crafting/selling

Developer(+1)

oh that's cool! I was wondering whether the bee should be a "Baker" Or like a "mixologist" An animation and wait time to get your honey would be so 🍭 interactive!

Selling however, maybe just some vfx on the coins adding up, or the numbers going up with a sfx of coins in a slot machine 😅

Submitted(+2)

Really cool! The mouse pointer/direction to movement took me a little while to get used to

Developer(+2)

Thank you, we wanted to give it the feel for being a bee, and thats how bees fly
