How does your game fit the theme?
Storage Auction Simulator is about seeing what's behind closed doors in order that you may bid on old storage units. Clicking on the storage unit door allows the player to see through a narrow lens to get a better view of the items inside. The items can then be sold at the player's corner store.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly, yes. We used DoTween code package to get some of our buttons animating through code to save on time. We also used ScriptableObjectArchitecture code package to get a base code set for event SOs. The music is from YouTube's free audio library. The only sound FX that's playing in the game was made by the team. A couple basic UI sprites and font came from Unity's free assets or itch.io free assets. The characters and the structures were created by the team. 99% of the code being ran in the game was created by the team other than the 2 packages mentioned.

I love this concept and you executed it really well. I'm very curious about the way that the bidding is set up. I tried to test it to see if it was responding to me or predetermined. Really cool that it felt real though. Nice job! The music selections were great and I liked the SFX too.
I did have a little trouble sometimes knowing if my bid was the one the auctioneer was referring to or if I needed to click again. So maybe have an indicator saying "You are the high bid" or something. I mention it because one time I had clicked, but it said I didn't bid/win at the end so I was confused by that.
Otherwise it's a really great concept that I haven't seen before and getting the "view time" to see "what's behind the door" is a great idea! Nice job!
Thanks again for playing/rating Untangled, too! And congrats on finishing!
Thank you for playing, and the compliments!
Good game. This was the first game idea i got. But you have outdone me. Good Job
Thanks a lot!
Auctioning a peek inside the storage is unique, Audio is nice too :)
Thank you for playing my game!
Love your game concept to meet the what's behind the door theme and the mechanic of having a brief period of time to quickly view the items inside the storage unit before bidding. Nice job! :D
I'm glad you like it! Thank you for playing!
Fantastic music and graphics. The game is just overall great! You have done a fantastic job!
Nice job :)
Please can you rate my game please? I'm trying to get to 20 votes! :D
Done! And thank you for playing!
Interesting concept.
I would like to have something telling me if I'm currently winning the auction, cause i'm not sure if my bid have been register or not.
The game finished before I had time to sell anything.
If you open the menu while an auction, the menu is hide behind the text.
After credits nothing happend, the music continue and you have to manually open the menu to leave.
Thank you for playing and for the recommendations! Indeed, I think having a UI to tell you who is highest bidder is a much-needed feature!
Quite a unique concept! Haven't seen any game like this before, simple yet works so well with the theme, Love the bidding system. This would be cool to see further developed, well done :)
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I think this game is the one that fits the theme perfectly, i dont know how i didnt think about this!! I even watch some shows of betings time to time, congratulations on such idea!
Thank you!
Nice game! Very good visuals and audio. As others mentioned store is a little confusing, but with a few small improvements it's a cool auction game!
Thanks for playing, and for the compliments! I agree on the store. It needs to be communicated a little more clearly.
The music and graphics were really beautifully done. But unfortunately I couldn't sell anything, I don't know why.
Overall I liked the game
GG
Thanks for the compliment and feedback! I'll take a look and see what's going on. That is indeed unfortunate.
Unique idea! The shop was kind of confusing, I never quite understood how it worked but definitely an interesting game!
Thanks you for playing! The shop was definitely a challenge. It could use some improvement.
i got lost
Thanks for the feedback. It's been updated a couple of times. Feel free to let me know more!
lol well its put together nice. the controls and ui are nice and easy to understand and use. the ya yup yaya bidding was funny good job not bad for a weeks work
Thank you for playing!
As it is right now it's a neat game, but I think with a bit more work it could be something really special. Strategy involved with like reoccurring competitive bidders and intentionally bidding to raise their price could be really interesting and I'm not sure anything like that has been done before. The shop aspect kind of confused me but on paper it is really cool as well. Great game.
You've read my mind! Yeah, I wish I did more work on the store. Indeed, some dialog could have been helpful in that aspect. There's a time counter that counts down, and both the items and the store take some kind of action when its time counter gets to zero (overhead is paid, items sell).
Select the StorageAuctionSimulator exe file within the game folder! Selecting any other exe file will not play the game correctly. I've already fixed it, but it's possible the Jam will not allow a new version to be downloaded? Good luck bidding!
This sounds like a fun idea and I'm exited to play it, but the buttons on the main menu don't work when I try to play.
Thanks for the heads up! I see the issue and will see what I can do. Until then, select the StorageAuctionSimulator exe instead of the MyProject exe.
