Nice game! I like the simplicity and overall vibe of it. It would be cool to have a bit more gameplay than just the random gambling with each door - something like the attack happens on a randomised delay and with some doors if you're quick enough you can dodge the incoming threat? Just an idea.
Pretty fun game! I lost just before finishing, then tried again and made it!
Good atmosphere but little too easy and too dependent of like. I liked the traps and music though
This has a nice game loop. Even though it would make things more difficult, I'm wondering how this would play if the doors that kill you close after you open them... so you'd have to remember not to open them. Overall, I had fun getting blasted by shotguns and stabbed by one eyed tentacle monsters!
Nice atmosphere, but I was never sure if there were any clues as to which doors were traps and not. Did I miss something?
There are no clues directly, but the green/red lights above the end door indicate how many of the closed doors are safe or not
Just completed (Score 25.5k)! I loved the animations for this and the atmosphere you built with the music and room design was nice. Super on theme. I feel like this with being complete random that it was probably hard to balance. I ended up reaching a point where I had too many items and so could brute force through it, but that's probably better than having a bunch of people fail halfway through. A little more variation and this would be even better too! Good job!
Nice idea! Bonuses are a great addition. I like the suspenseful animation of the door opening :D .
Really interesting idea! It's honestly quite addicting to open these doors, not knowing if they're traps or not. Great work!
Score: 21000 ;)
Fun game, great visuals and just enough play in it to not feel completely luck based
Very nice game, interesting take on "Russian roulette". Visual style works very good with music and everything contributes to overall atmosphere really well.
One negative thing I found is that the game is very straightforward, maybe some other interaction with door or between doors would be a grate addition
Well done!
I loved the music choice(composition) it really added to the mood of the game. The gameplay worked great, the graphics were nice and clear.
I think my only criticism would be that the game was a little too simple, if you know what I mean. I know it's a Game Jam game, so simple is what we're aiming for, but I think if you developed it into a longer game with a few more stages, or a couple more mechanics, just to keep it from being all luck, that would take this game to a whole new level. Are you gonna keep working on it? Or is it just for the jam?
Anyway, nice submission. I liked it. Good luck with the jam.

I'm planning to update once after the jam with some things I didn't have time for and extra polish
game was great! simple yet great! i was hooked until the end! good job on this submission!
The game was amazing!
Solid game. I do wish It was a little longer, but other than that, it seemed pretty polished to me, keep up the good work :)
I love the idea of the doors having traps and stuff behind it!
It makes it for a very fun and light game!
I think it would be cool to have the good doors to have special scenes behind them. Like someone giving you a power up. Or maybe they tell you what other doors are safe.
The only critical feedback I have on this is besides from using the powerups to prevent it I feel like the doors are too random. It might be nice to have tells. Maybe you hear murmuring behind the door. or a gun being loaded. Or scuff marks at the front of the door. And over time players can build up a mental map of what could possibly be behind those doors.
-- I think the tells might not need to just say it's good or bad (in a black / white sense), but maybe it could be a tell that it could be a good or bad. So that maybe they would want to strategize and just look for the definitive good doors first before they go for the more chancey doors.
Anyways, cheers, and good work!
Great graphics and audio, game design with the lights representing doors and traps was good and easy to understand, gameplay wise it was too luck based with not much strategy of when to use items. I like the range of traps.
I liked the idea and the theme. But I never realized whether I had the ability to predict what was behind the door before I opened it. All my choices were random.
I liked the concept! Got 19500 as my final score
I enjoyed your game, great take on the theme.
Please rate mine ;-)
Cool game
