Challenging! At first I needed to get used to the left and right boundaries, then to the fact that just because the object spawns in the middle of the screen, it can still end up on the far left or right side of the screen. Once I got used to those, I got my high score of 348.
The art and audio assets fit together well. It's a nice, very replayable game loop!
really cool!
very cool game
I love the growing and changing clouds. Do you just change the size of a mesh while spawning more? It gives a really cool effect.
Very good.
Nice and simple, also most of the Unity submissions I tried to play never really worked, so this was a plus as well.
Simple but effective. I liked the wind as it provided more depth to the game.
But for endless runner type of game it needs to have steeper difficulty past some point. I've seen this many time in this game jam, game starts fine, the difficulty is low enough so player can learn the game, but once the player knows how to play it, it just stays the same or gets only a little bit harder with time.
But that's my only issue.
I really like the look of the paper boat and the idea itself. I even put on Tokyo drift soundtrack while playing and it felt even more fun! Good job!
If you want to you can check out game I worked on as well : https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2974095
I love when a game does so much with such a simple concept! The attention to detail is stunning. Two details which i really loved are the storm particles changing direction with the wind to indicate where its pointing and the fact that your inputs dont directly move the boat but just rotate it. Really innovative movement mechanic!
Clean and simple! This game doesn't have too much going on, and that's definitely a good thing here, as it makes it easy to read what's going on. At the same time, the weather and difficulty progression keep it from just feeling repetitive, so very good job with making it all stick together so well!
My only question with the game is... How does the paper boat stay afloat in such heavy rain!?!?
A really good endless runner. I feel like a lot of time the most important thing for this type of game is the atmosphere of it, and this game had great atmosphere! I especially like the storms formation.
Simple fun game about obstacle avoiding - really nice that your ship sailing mechanic has that ebb/flow feel to the controls like how sailing is more geared towards behaving like. Nice work!
It's a simple and fun little game.
The effects of the clouds are nice & the way the game immediately starts with fading text looks great.
