How does your game fit the theme?
It requires you to fight waves of monsters (the storm) and has periods where there are no enemies (the calm)
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I looked up a bunch of tutorials, but a lot of the code was written by me. Bearsug did the art. The sfx and music were loyalty free.

Got to wave 8. It was pretty easy but I enjoyed my time overall. Enemies were cool looking and their sounds set a nice creepy atmosphere. Good job

I liked the sounds and Visual effects, hits having knockback gives good gameplay feeling and fun, and background is very nice, waves getting harder and it makes you keep playing, well arranged, good job.

It's fun to play. Great job on the impact effects and SFX! A lot of devs underestimate the value of those. Ammo count UI would be nice, especially for the shotgun.
Fun ass game, nice work!! The dash and jump combine to give a decent amount of depth to the movement and its pretty fun to escape around the map and manipulate the hord. The background design is really nice but does not match the style of the player/enemies/etc sprites at all and the effect is jarring. The three weapon designs all have their own distinct characteristics and are fun to use. The gameplay naturally requires you to cycle through all three without over relying on any one of them, due to the need to conserve ammo, nice job there. The knockback on enemies is satisfying and having the guns knock you back as well is a great touch because it forces the player to be more proactive and prevents camping strategies. Some criticisms are that if I click to the left of my player (while moving right) I wish it would shoot to the players left, rather than requiring me to press "A" to face that direction first. The enemy AI is also consistently buggy with enemies often getting caught in corners but when it does work its fun enough and manipulating the platform enemys above you is good fun. Overall, I think this is the most fun game I have played so far and if you had a more consistent art style and a little bit of bug fixing/fine tuning itd be a real contender in this jam! Sick entry!

I made it to wave 5! It was really fun! The shotgun was pretty satisfying to use but i didn't get to use it much. I like the character sprites
Ya probably should’ve made the zombies drop shotgun ammo also
The game is fun but I wish the theme was a bit more implemented. Maybe for example you could unlock the guns with money you get from the enemies you kill or whatever. Also the enemies were a bit too strong and the knockback from the guns a bit too much. Other than that the combat was really satisfying and the sounds were good aswell. Ya I was focusing a lot on trying to make the combat satisfying. Most of the art was made on the last day though and it’s unfortunate we didn’t get to add in animation.
I made it to round 3, those purple things are so strong. Good game though.
Ya I hoped adding them would present more of a challenge to the game, it’s unfortunate I didn’t get to add more enemy types though.
I like the game.
Killing enemies are so satisfying.
