Great polished game! Second phase of boss fight was too hard for me tho. I need practice. Music and graphics was cool and fit to mood of the game. Good job!

Such a cool mechanic and so well executed. The controls feel really good. I know I can attack from invisible but it’s so satisfying to pop out of invisibility and immediately kill an enemy before he can react. Love the character design too. The enemies are all unique and interesting. Great job on this game. It deserve every bit of the attention it’s gotten.

So far the best one I played, the gameplay was fun and intresting only a few notes, the enemy switching their patrol positions is too fast for even the first levels and the rift could be expended more on than just a hidey hole and ofc the boss, the only way to win is to make sure you spam him to infinity before he transforms. Otherwise great game!

Developer

Hey thanks for playing! The enemy patrol switch is a very interesting note, will definitely tweak that after the jam ends. The boss is definitely an area that we are looking to improve on in the future. Thanks for such helpful suggestions :3

The art is perfect, I also would like to know how do you make certain parts glowing? (Like the part on the boss)

The control is okay, I don't know if the rapid fire rate of enemy is meant to be designed for stealth.

In normal levels, it's still viable to win, but in boss level, it's just too hard to beat it in final phase.

I ended up spamming attacks to win.

But overall, the concept of the game is good, and it's smooth to play.

I love the graphics!  RATED!!

Nice game.  The graphics are good, and I enjoyed the top-down game style.  I really liked your character sprites, and the title screen graphics.

It would be nice if you could attack enemies above and below you (instead of just right and left).  The controls where just a little award, but the game play was pretty solid.

I also really liked your lighting effects.

Nicely done!

What a great challenging game! Great work with both the hiding and time slowing abilities. i love your take on the theme!

Awesome design, and really creative mechanics, well done!

Liked the game, it's very well made. Sometimes it reminds me of hollow knight. It's fun, and hidding in the rift is nice. The boss is a little too difficult in the second form for my taste, but it is just personal. Good job.

Amazing work! Really interesting and well made  game, I really enjoyed it! But I have to say that boss fight was a little bit too hard compared to levels before. Despite that game was just awesome!

Really liked the Graphics and the whole Idea of the game.

I enjoyed it.  At moments felt like i was cheating when skipping enemies, besides that i liked everything. Well designed and polished game, 5 on design.

Developer

Haha, you shouldn’t feel bad for skipping enemies! We wanted to reward stealthy and strategic players ;) Although I’m glad you had fun and we’ll take your suggestion into account ^_^

Wow, just wow.

I love your art.

And your game mechanics.

I can only mention a few problems:

BALANCING : All levels were too easy compared to the boss fight. I think you could have added a few more challenging levels before the boss fight.

MUSIC : Music was great but I don't think it fits the boss fight level. That is just my opinion.

STORY : At the beginning the NPC said trust no one but there was no explanation or something to tell you what is going on?!

PAUSE MENU : There is none :(

Overall your game was awesome, I was sad that how soon it ended :(

I think you should release a full game out of this, it has a lot of potentials. Your game can be the next Hollow Knight.

9/10

Good luck.

Fantastic game with really neat visuals and a cool concept. The only thing I didn't like was the boss fight. It seemed really unfair and ultimately I couldn't get past him. Other than that, this is a really nice game

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Balancing is definitely important, and with the time pressure, we left little time to adjust the final battle so some have found it difficult. It’s something we’ll keep in mind for future updates after the jam ^_^

Cool game and unique rule!

But when I press "space" I can't press "up" till I press other arrow keys.

Bravo! Love the stealthy gameplay and the variety of enemies. The opening menu scene is beautiful along with the music. All around solid work. We covered it in our latest blog entry! https://www.betacade.com/single-post/7-Rift
