Very cosy game. I liked the unique graphics and the piano background music was nice. The story and the ending are really cool.
Great game!

Very innovative design, and I like how the art style is actually part of the core mechanic.  I found the music very nice, but it definitely needs a way to turn down the volume.   Overall a  very fun game !

Wow! Really cool setting. The holes mechanics work so good. I liked it when the thief ran in the shadow on the ground and when the camera  widens when the shadow of the world is important! This is one of the best games I played so far.

Very nice platformer game with 2 parallel worlds. The char looks like an agent or some spy ;) Can you implement the spacebar jump function too. I am used to it since most of the games have the jumping on the spacer bar.  Audio would make your game even nicer in my opinion. Thanks for participating.

Awesome concept. Good work.

This is an amazing Idea. I think you could expand the all of the concepts in some pretty awsome ways. One of the best games I have played yet. As for feedback there are certain platforms that you need near perfect jumps to get over. I'm not sure if this is intentional but some of these platforms feel like they're there to just get in the way. Great game

Wow. Where to start. First off I laughed at "hush toddler" haha and then "ok zygote" hahah!!

WOW the running animation is very nice and the art of the character is really well done. I like the concept of the black vs white! Music was great too.. I can tell you worked really hard on this! 10/10!!

Good game story was good and I played through the whole thing. awesome concept and style.

If it had better controls, you could almost sell a idea like that.

Very, very good game. I love the story, it's very creative and the gameplay is really great. The player controls are tight and jumping felt good. The art style is really awesome and I LOVE how the music and art change when you enter portals. You have some great mechanics at work and really interesting level design. Some text was cut off for me but just barely. All around really amazing game, great job!

loved the game :D especially the upside down part

This was a really unique experience. I think you combined very interesting elements to get to this concept, and it definitely pays off. Although the holes can be a bit buggy at times, I think that the changing of scenery is a great gamplay choice. The cutscenes can be a bit sluggish and easy to accidentally skip, but the animations are really great! Also, I think it's a bit distracting that there was  black block of text next to the cutscene, while you don't have time to read it, since the convo on the left just keeps going. One more thing: I got stuck on a certain part because I was in the wrong 'mode' for that part of the level, and couldn't get back up to a portal to change back. I tried twice and then unfortunately gave up. But I still liked the concept a lot!

Ah sorry that the bugs stopped you from finishing. I can look into reducing the exit times for the transitions between the dialogue. For that last part, can you let me know where that was exactly? I tried to put checkpoints near most of the portals. Thank you for playing though!

It was a part where there's the real big drop, just after you discover the circles that open up into squares, I believe? I was going through a portal that made everything black, and then I had to navigate through invisible walls, which made it impossible to progress :(

Developer

Ah yes, in fact that might be kinda intentional! The walls are supposed to be "invisible" yet the camera should've zoomed out to show some platforms below the floor. Those platforms should show where the invisible walls are as if it was a reflection. I guess I could make it clearer in a later build.

This is really good? why does it have just 25 ratings?

Superb game design work, its amazing how you teach the player how de warp-dimension mechanics work by example, avoiding the use of boring text while in game. Its also remarcable how you managed to combine the platformer gameplay along with the puzzle aspect, great job!

The environmental visuals are simple but elegant, and both the detective and the thief have their own aesthetic personality and ar not only well drawn but also animated.

You have some nice sound design too, as the audio suits extremely well the crime-warp theme.

Amazing job, you will do great on this jam!

Love the way you implemented the theme. Gameplay  is also nice.

I hope you like my game too!

Great level design. Music was dope! I’m curious to see what colors will be in next level. Good job!

Loving the play on black and white, and also the idea that you need to look at the 'reflection' to know your way forward.

This one has a really cool take on the concept!  Using black and white to make people see the hole in the middle of a shape as a puzzle element and not just visuals is very cool!  There were some cool tricks in there, I would love to see more with this style of platformer!  The artwork is super stylish and the main character's animations are very smooth.

I think I found a bug in the last section, where I could never end the game so I just kept running through it over and over for a few minutes.  Then I restarted, and I was able to finish that part in almost 20 seconds.  Something made the goal despawn.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! I'll look into making a failsafe in that last section afterwards if I get the time, but I'm glad you were able to finish it.
